Took my lab puppy to Groomingdales for his first grooming not sure what to expect.cant say enough wonderful things about Sam and her team! I have already taken him back for a second appointment. Sam and Rachel were super knowledgable and patient with my pup. They had wonderful tips for his specific fur type and the best brushes to use. Plus he smelled absolutely amazing at the end of his appointment. I have now booked a standing monthly appointment! 10/10

I don’t recommend this Pet Valu location; I’ve been here more than once and found the staff unpleasant and rude. There are many other pet stores in Milton to choose from where I have had a better experience. If you are looking for an alternative Pet Valu, I suggest the one on Bronte. The Global Pet Foods on Kennedy Circle and PetSmart on Maple also have polite staff.

EDITED in response to your response: I am not sure what other “previous” review you are speaking of from a “different” profile. This is my only email address. I am assuming someone with the same (very common) last name to mine left a similar not-so-great review, and it stands out to you as it is an “ethnic” name. Would suggest not making assumptions based on folks’ last names.

This is the best pet store location ever! The staff are absolutely amazing people. Every time I go in they are so helpful and friendly. On two occasions, employees Paris and Ellen have offered and carried my products to my car, even after I insisted they didn’t have to (they were not light products either). The customer service is unbeatable and I love every experience at this location – they definitely know what they’re doing!

DO NOT SHOP HERE! The customer service is terrible they dont care about customers or their pets. I purchased some dog boots at another location and they refused to return it. I've had an account for 7 years and thought the reason they had that system in place is for instants like this. Never again

Staff here is always great and go the extra mile to help you out and answer questions. My long haired cat had a fur knot that was pretty close to her skin under her arm, the ladies here were very accommodating and told me I could come in that day (while other grooming salons had long wait-lists) to see if they could help. They were great with my cat and had the fur knot out within minutes. Selection for cat food is great here as well:)

This is the best Pet Valu store I have ever been to, friendly staff, great prices and a wide variety of food and accessories for your pets.

Absolutely terrible.
With this new curbside thing, we placed an order for timothy hay and treats for my baby girl (a Holland lop rabbit).
I called at 9: 04am (4 minutes after they opened) and I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half. A little long, but okay, fine.
After the window given, I called back to follow up, to see if it was okay to come and collect. Nope.
The response was "If you got an email or a call from us then you can come at any time. "
As I write this, it has been well over 24 hours, with no follow up or call.
This may not seem like a big deal to some, but this is very important for some animals, up to - and including mine. Some pets didn't get to eat last night because they didn't feel like doing their jobs.
Sorry, but thats just the way it is.

If I could rate lower, I would. Go somewhere else, this isn't right.

Horrible curbside pick up service.

Listen, I get that this may be an unfair review. However, we’re now 14, almost 15 months into this pandemic.

This company, along with many others, have had 14 months of on and off practice for their curbside pick up customer service.

We placed an order at 9: 05 an on Saturday May 29th. The store opens at 9. Our order was for a bag of hay and rabbit treats.

We were told that it would take an hour, to an hour and a half to pick up the order.

Okay.so we called at 10 am, and were told by Bre, (or Bri, whichever way she spells it) that they would “call or text us” when it was ready for pick up.

It is now 7: 30 pm the next day, Sunday May 30th and we haven’t received any word from the store.

Our baby girl went without her hay yesterday due to Pet Valu not fulfilling the order we placed.

Rabbits diets are comprised of mostly unlimited hay. This is unacceptable on Pet Valu’s behalf, considering that there is NO WAY that 5 minutes into the store opening up on Saturday that they were too busy that it would take 48 hours to receive our order. And, we have not been contacted to indicate the delay, whether it’s due to them being busy or due to them being out of the product.

We were forced to go elsewhere today which only took 30 mins for pick up.

This neglect is unfair to animals that can not advocate for themselves.

Love this store. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I can always find everything I need for my cat there. Actually I find thst there is more of a selection here for cat food, treats and toys.

Clean, friendly good selection. There were Maskless people in the store when I was there - hope this is not a reflection of Managements attitude? Prices go up every time I purchase dog food may have to start looking elsewhere.

Disappointed in the dog bath that I normally use at this location. I pre booked as per covid and when checking out I was double billed. Due to covid. And when covid is over the proce goes back down. I was not advised when booking. It's not like there's a big line up of people waiting. I even spent time cleaning up the hair after blowing my dog. In the end the sweet cashier did charge me the original 10 dollars. But shame on the store for trying this. Needless to say I was there a few days ago with the sister of my dog. And no sign up double charging me.

Best place to get anything your pet needs. I've been going to both Milton Pet Value since 2016 and the staff have been amazing. If you can't find what you're looking for they go out of their way to help you and your pet.

This location has very helpful associates. There is a wide selection of cat and dog food, with gluten free options. They also have speciality treats for dogs. There is usually a cat for adoption, and they have beagles/beagle x for adoption some weekends during the summer. Dog washing station available.

This is by far my favorite Pet Value. Friendly and welcoming staff and the owner is a really nice guy. The store is always clean and stocked and their dog wash is fantastic! I’ve been to a couple other dog washes at other Pet Value’s and they don’t compare to this one.clean, good water pressure and temperature and a great dryer. I actually travel past other Pet Value’s to come to this one.

Wasn't a fan of this store.they tried to make me pay twice for my pizzas and whwn I shown it went through on my bank account they said that wasnt enough. Staff was very rude to the point and careless of theur jobs and postions

Today is May 28th, just came from Pet Value located in Milton and I had an awful experience there. Here is what happened:
We have a Golden retriever and we decided to use the self service from Pet value to give our dog a bath.
It was 6: 45, I had just got back from work, picked up my husband, son and dog to go to the store. We arrived there at 7: 00 PM and there was only a short, blond lady, that I unfortunately couldn't get the name.
We told her her what we wanted and said that we already used the service in another pet value location (Dupont and Dufferin in Toronto) where I had a wonderful experience.
The lady walked us there and we started the bath. Everything was fine and when we finished we started drying him, but the tub was too wet, so we moved him to the other tub, but in 5 minutes this lady came to us and said we were supposed to use only one because other customers could come, and she she was correct, right? What if other customer showed? So we moved him back to the tub we gave him the bath. It was taking too long so we started using both blowers as there was no other customer in the store, but guess what? It didn't take more than 5 minutes and she came back saying we couldn't use both blowers. I asked why because there was just us in the store and she said that the system could blow up! Really, blow up the system? ! Come on, so you can't have 2 dogs drying at the same time that the system blows up? But I didn't question that, we just stopped using the other blower.
I had the blower and my husband was brushing the dog and the lady came again. She said we couldn't blow and brush at the same time because the dog was shedding. I immediately said that she has a lot of rules, that we didn't have that in the other store we went and she said that the reason we couldn't use the blower and brush the dog at the same time was because a customer could go to the store and could be allergic. What?
We stopped using the brush and started only with the blower as we needed to have the dog dry.
After 10,15 minutes the blower stopped working and within the minute the lady came out from the back of the store. Was it a coincidence? I don’t believe so, so I paid and left since she wasn’t much help. Now, the time is 8PM, my dog stinks again because he is still wet, and I am stressed out.

While all staff members at this Pet Valu don't have the same degree of positive customer service, there's one woman here who is wonderful. I went in looking for a cat food designed for sensitive stomachs, and she took her time explaining the options in store and helped me pick out a hairball remedy which was also needed. I never felt rushed and she was very knowledgeable about the products, their ingredients, and their benefits for my cats. Best customer service I've ever received from a pet store before.

Love the new renovations! Store is bigger and now has bath stations. Great selection of products and friendly staff
