Great selection and friendly staff! The owner even delivered a cat tree to our home for us free of charge. I highly recommend this location:)

First time using the self serve pet wash; the staff was incredibly helpful, courteous and communicative along the way as we were waiting for the stations to become unoccupied. It becomes more rare to find great customer service and this petvalu far exceeds our expectations.

The fact that they are willing to put up with my dramatic, screaming child grants them 5-stars in itself. Isabel was so great in helping us remove the matted fur on this sassy guy and now he’s the cutest little lion. I mean, just look at those boots. Thank you so much!

I just adopted a kitten from this store and the staff were so great and helpful, especially Ellie! The adoption process was very smooth and all of the employees are so kind and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend going to this store for any of your animal needs!

This is a great store! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and they all care for the animals with passion. We adopted two dogs last year at the Bark event and the staff have helped us with all of our questions regarding our dogs. The store is always clean and well stocked.

The staff are very friendly and helpful but the manager is a power hungry Karen who's small amount of power goes to her head. Offended me in the store while I was minding my own business. Will not be going there again. Rens is 100% better anyways.

I wish we got the name of the employee who helped us today with our finalized adoption for Zara such a sweet kitty she’s really made herself at home but the employee was so super sweet and helpful with everything we are so happy with how the process went and couldn’t be happier we will keep you posted on Zara lol we changed her name to Gracie but she’s doing well

Do not recommend! Its not just this store. All of them in St. Catharines are AWFUL. I feel like I am in a HOSPITAL. I now buy my cat food at other stores that are client FRIENDLY! I am surprised that they don't give customers a RECTAL examination! I have nothing more to elaborate. PREFER other stores at this time.that provide a real customer shopping experience. NO THANK YOU.

Great place to shop for your forever friend and of course bring your pet along. The staff is excellent and go out of there way to satisfy each customer coming through the doors. Cheers

I’m forced to put a star rating here; if I could, I’d put ZERO.

My parents go to this store every week and spend significant money for their 2 pampered cats. They’ve had an appointment for 6 weeks to get them groomed (earliest they were told was available). Someone from the store called to verify the app’t 3 weeks ago. Parents showed up just before their 12pm slot only to be told the appt’s were for 10 & 11am this morning & the store assumed they were no-shows so they took walk-ins, instead.

Nothing was done in writing to properly verify times; clearly several different staff can’t be trusted to write down proper appointments or verify them correctly in their bookings. I guess it was my parents responsibility to call yesterday to TRIPLE check the appointment time? My dad later spoke to the manager Jeff, who’s basic reply was “you were wrong”.

You and your staff wasted their time, seemed to have zero sense of responsibility for this and they returned home in a wind & rain storm with 2 very stressed out cats.

I get that you probably have a lot of jerks coming into the store, but these are 2 retirees that just wanted their cats properly groomed after waiting 6 wks and because they buy from you on a weekly basis, wanted to support your store.

SHAME ON YOU. I will be letting all of my friends in the area know how they were treated. I’ve been going to Ren’s in Oakville for years. They are beyond superb. I cannot imagine them ever treating people like this, especially seniors. Luckily, there’s one across the street from you now that they can go to instead.

So, not even a week ago i went in to get a female budgie, i left with two. I asked about a guarantee and they said they dont give one. Interesting. I then asked how long they keep them for and the lady said "3 days. " that is not enough time to tell if a budgie is ill or not but okay. I purchased them and upon getting them home i notice one has a neurological issue and the other one holds its tail weird. (I have multiple other birds so i can tell when something is wrong). The one with the neurological issue has a head tilt, can only fly straight up and even then flips over, walks in circles and always has his head tilted. The other one with the weird tail passed away this morning from im not sure what. She was eating so i know that and then i wake up and shes on the bottom of the cage on her back. The neurological issue one is doing well and im not upset about that one, he will live out his days with me however this is very disappointing and they should do guarantees for this reason.just to add on, one of the employees was "too scared" to catch a budgie.

I do not recommend purchasing a bird from them.

Upon speaking with the manager, she offered a gift card of x amount and a refund. She was very polite and generous, I appreciate what she had offered for this inconvenience. The manager had also mentioned that I was miss informed as there is a small animal guarantee that I did not receive even when I asked about it. She made the staff aware and hopefully this doesn't happen again to future clients.

From 2 star - 3 stars as I liked the way they dealt with the situation.

I ran out of my specialty food for my baby hedgehog and Pet Valu on Vansickle Rd are the only Pet Valu are the only pet store open past 7pm. Thank u Pet Valu

Huge selection of dog toys, great dog wash. You can adopt cats, bunnies and birds here. Friendly staff! I will return.

Billie Jo Horvath Grooming: Billie Jo is one the most loving, compassionate and caring groomers. Her professionalism and attention to detail is second to none! I’ve never been to a groomer that my dog loves to see and greets with kisses and a wiggly tail! This is proof of her capability in understanding our most innocent family members!

Can’t wait for Rens Pets to put you out of business. Groomer cut my dog and wouldn’t own up to her mistake. Manager is just nasty. I wouldn’t go back if it was free!

We go here every week, customer service is really good for most times.
The things that we buy here more often or only from here, cat litter and cat food ; for the price and the quality it's not worth to waste my money any where else, the products are very good.
We also get bones and treats for our dog from time to time and prices are in the middle higher end

Pet Valu Vansickle is fantastic. Awesome customer service and their staff are friendly and very knowledgeable of their products. The store owners are local and know the community very well. It's definitely my "go to" place for my pets' needs.

Great customer service! My mother visits here often, first time today for me though and I really enjoyed the experience. Very welcoming and friendly staff, and asked if we needed help right away.

The gentlemen that helped us, I believe the owner/manager, really reminded us of how retail customer service was like back in the day and what a lot of stores try to strive for nowadays but fail to do so. This first impression will definitely get me coming back more often.

This location also offers pet grooming as well. Even though one of our dogs isn't welcome anymore (due to his personality) we really appreciate the help we always received from this location. Thank you and keep it up!

Tried the self-serve dog wash today for the first time with our two bullies. The staff was super helpful and even helped keep.the o e dog occupied while I had the other in the tub. Excellent service! Definitely will return!

Billie Jo is a top notch, professional groomer. My dog loves her after his first visit; and I am thrilled with her work!

Best groomer ever! We bring 3 dogs to Billie and the team for grooming. The dogs are always incredibly well groomed. Other groomers have missed ears.ours are done so well that our VET wanted the name and number of the GROOMER! Two of our dogs are bulldogs.one a rescue that is special needs. HE LOVES BILLIE! (He trusts less now but he trusts Billie, so he loves billie.its a big thing!) She has worked around busy schedules, and busy lives, when we were in need of support. We have come to count on Billie and the staff at Groomingdales at Pet Valu as Family! We also drive back from Grand Bend especially to see Billie for our dogs needs.worth the trip Every time! Our dogs are older now. Billie has graced them with incredible style all through this transition. Best Groomer ever with soul to match.

Billie Jo Horvath is an amazing groomer and great with my westies. She does a proper Westie cut and they love her. She is in demand so I always make sure I book their next appointment before I leave the shop. If we need a nail trim in between we can just walk in on Thursday evening and ask for Billie. The staff in the store are very friendly, knowledgeable, and really helpful.

I really like this store! They’ve got a good selection of a variety of pet needs, and the people who work there are always very friendly and ready to help! The store is clean, inviting, and well laid out. They have groomers, and a bath! The bath price is inclusive, and the area is always clean. I’ve also adopted from here and they are quick with their process!

We were looking for a good groomer who loves what they do. We have 2 Yorkies and we were referred by our friend.we had searched around for awhile.we are sooooo pleased Samantha is everything you would look for in a groomer.the pet store well equipped and we'll organized and they are the most friendless staff.so ya we're happy. We recently adopted our cat through the Vansickle Rd, Pet Valu. He came from the Niagara Falls SPCA, and we are absolutely in love with him. The staff treated him like the prince he is, and treated us like their family. Fully thankful! They made sure we had all the necessary things for Marty to be set up for a successful transition and sent him home with a few snacks. They also answered all my questions, (first time cat mom) with patience and the information I needed. I also didn’t feel like I was being “sold to” for all the cat accessories, knowing that I definitely could have bought a bunch of things for him. They helped Marty into his pet carrier while I got my kids into the car, and met me at the door and carried out our litter, toys and food and loaded it into the car! Such service! Thank you to everyone working on Sunday July 7th! You made my birthday so special + Marty’s homecoming extra sweet!

I highly recommend Pet Valu on Vansickle. The staff is not only very friendly but very knowledgable and understands the needs of your pets. The groomers have the skills and expertise to to do an outstanding job as well. Very caring and welcoming environment. So glad they are close to my home.

The lady's at this location are always welcoming and helpful. They are so nice, always come running to see the pup. Billiejo is so good with my Bailey and it's always a good grooming experience. Bailey gets all his treats and toys from here. I recommend this location for all your pet needs and billiejo for grooming.

One of our favorite stores to go for gourmet treats as well as offering a wide selection of top quality products. Rosie loves the attention that she gets there.

Amazing my dog had her nails cut with no hassle. I was so surprised as she wont even let me touch her paws without freaking out. We had to sedate her to get her needles. I am totally impressed with the ladies there.
