We had a service call to replace a part in our washing machine. Our sales person Chad and service man Ryan were courteous and very helpful. Both provided excellent information. Thank you Chad and Ryan.

It is so beautiful to see small companies who still care about their customers. I’ve been a customer of Peter Martin for many years and I’ve purchased all my appliances here. The service is second to none from the sale to the delivery. Ryan who did the installation is such a friendly, helpful technician who goes above and beyond. Ryan who did the old fridge removal and delivery also made sure that everything was done meticulously. Peter Martin appliances is the only place to shop if you want the best service, the best warranty, the best repair. I will shop no where else.

Had issues with the build of my range. There was a manufactorors defect. Contacted Peter regarding warranty. It took a lot of patience and time but both Peter and i were able to have whirpool replace my stove.

Although it took months to deal with, Peter was there the whole time and followed up with me without me even reaching out to him to provide me with an update.

I am surprised by some of the comments here regarding Peter. Patience and respect is a two way street. Yes the road wasnt easy but Peter never shied away from helping me and finding a solution.

We purchased 4 new appliances for our kitchen and they were delivered on August 8,2023. We are so pleased with the whole experience from dealing with the sales rep Brett to the delivery and installation team (especially Dan who was so helpful). They arrived on time (early really), were very professional, took great care removing the old appliances and efficiently and carefully brought in and installed the new appliances. The team worked very well together and communicated with each other in a way that we felt confident no damage or issues would take place.
We have purchased other appliances from Peter Martin’s in the past with the same confidence. Plus the fact that they service their own appliances is a bonus. But I have to say we have not had to use the service department much. In other words our appliances (previous kitchen package and 2 sets of washers and dryers) have worked very well for us! We did not hesitate to be return customers when we needed to make more purchases. We didn’t even consider going elsewhere!

Customer service was poor. I wandered around for about 20min listening to employees complaining to each other about their office policies.
Once I was assisted I was able to purchase the fridge I had researched. It was delivered soon after, put in place with many shims, but not plugged in; they returned to lift it out and plug it in but didn’t level it up the second time around.

I bought a washer-dryer set and a dishwasher from Peter Martin in 2010, and that experience was a good one, but today I had a truly great customer service experience with their service department. I was worried about the door gasket on my washer and called to book a service appointment. Shortly thereafter, one of their service people called me back to explain that the gaskets were very expensive right now, and had me send him pictures of the problem areas, to check whether what I was perceiving to be damage really was damage. After our conversation, I realized that I'd been overly concerned about something that will not be problematic anytime soon. This saved me at least the price of a visit, and possibly $500 if I'd gone through with what would have been a senseless repair. To have bothered to call me and take the time to look at my pictures and explain everything to me on the phone instead of taking the easy money for a service visit - that's pretty amazing to me.

Purchased a Bosch Dishwasher recently from Peter Martin. Great experience. It literally took 15 min to buy it. Our sales person Ken was great. Very nice and knowledgeable. He even recommended a model that had more features than the one I was looking at for a better price. The installation was seamless. Our installer was great. Explained all the features and came right on time. I will definitely go back for our next appliance. It’s nice to shop local and support a local business. Thank you!

I was about to give this company a call to see if they had parts.
But after reading sooo many BAD, BAD reviews, which were ALL CONSISTENT about people who work there AND the owners having bad attitudes and illegal acts (not honoring warranties is illegal and people who bought warranties can SUE THIS COMPANY and this "Peter" guy.

The should be sued!

I don't deal with people who have bad attitudes and the attitude that they are doing the customer a favor.

OH HELLLLL NO!

So. NOT DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.

This, by the way, is how companies, even long-standing companies, GO OUT OF BUSINESS!

Terrible experience, purchased a Refrigerator/with extended warranty and over a month after the refrigerator was delivered I get a call to advise they are pulling the extended warranty and will not honour it, dueto boundary lines which the owner authorized. They lied to get the sale if the refrigerator. I have yet to receive a refund for the warranty cost!
Very unprofessional customer service by the owner as well, expecially by hanging up on a customer. Definitely would not recommend this company, and they definitely do not deserve 1 star.

Used to be OK, now terrible. Salespeople know less about their products than you can learn from a magazine in your dentist’s office. Even when you know the exact brand and model number that you want to buy, a salesperson took three tries to get the invoice right.
Delivery/installation/repair people are dumb but with lots of attitude. One was baffled trying to find the source of a leak - when I showed him where it was coming from he became unpleasant. No matter what, they act like they are doing you a favour.
They will weasel on warranties, never have the required parts but are delighted to tell you how long the wait will be.
And their prices are high.
Do yourself a favour and go to a large store where they have the resources and an interest in serving you properly.

I had an excellent experience at this location. Mike was the sales guy working with me. He knew I was in a rush to get the appliances for my rental unit and he did what he could to pull it off. I received phone call from Mike letting me know the status of the order as the days passed by. I appreciate the call letting me know how the order is going and I appreciate the hustle Mike put in to make sure I got everything in timely fashion. Now just waiting for the delivery this weekend. I will be continuing to buy from this place as I am a real estate investor in the Hamilton area and buy appliances yearly. Good thing they treated me well as I am not just a one time customer. Thanks Mike.

My GE washing machine, bought in 2015 at PMA stopped working last weekend. I set up an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. I am not available in the mornings. The technician arrived at 10: 30 am when I was not home. Luckily we did connect and he proceeded to diagnose the problem. Basically the machine is in need of a new motherboard, very costly. The technician left saying he would see what GE or PMA could do for me since the machine is still quite young. I requested a phone call the next day in the afternoon. On Thursday, I was called twice in the morning, messages left both times. When we later chatted I was told it would be costly to repair and honestly quite cheaper to buy a new one. I was also told that GE and PMA would not do anything for me, which I fully understand as the warranty no longer exists. The technician also asked me for the $100 diagostic fee. Ouch! So bottom line, my washing machine needs to be replaced and I owe PMA $100. Knowing that I need a new washing machine, it would have been a very smart business move for PMA to waive the $100 and/or put it toward the price of a new machine. Alas, they missed the opportunity to do so, so I will not be buying from PMA again. They have already phoned me twice this morning. I guess they just don't understand that I am not available in the mornings. Not a happy client.

We just bought a Frigidaire washing machine from Peter Martin Appliances and it’s fabulous! Really good quality and it holds a lot of laundry. The men who took the old one away and installed it were efficient and friendly (the whole thing took them about 20 minutes!). Very happy.

I had a very poor experience with Peter Martin. Their delivery team was rude and disrespectful and when I spoke with Peter himself I wasn't given an opportunity to share my experience with him. Sadly I can't recommend them to anyone looking for Thermador appliances.
