Peter's Tackle and Bait

Been going to Peters for a very long time! (15-20 years easy) always ALWAYS met with a smile and a warm greeting, any questions answered quickly and with detailed information, amazing products! I’ve bought GLX’s, reels, combos for my family and myself and enough tackle to fill a few flatbeds easy! Angela took the reigns and has helped this place absolutely flourish and it truly is my one stop tackle shop, they will even bring in products if they don’t have it! Stop in for info, weights (official) or to purchase some new gear/tackle/etc. Tell them Lucas (Drift Canada) sent you. I promise you won’t be dissapointed

Absolutely the place to shop for fishing stuff.

The only downsides is they are somewhat limited on the variety of creature baits they have (they primarily tubes, worms, craws) so you won't get some of the more interesting/nich plastics. No biggy. They do have a huge selection of flies.

On the upside you can get tubes in bulk, and they have a great selection of terminal tackle, and great stuff for species such as carp and catfish that are typically ignored by more mainstream shops in the area.

They also have a wide selection of reels and great fishing combos. My girlfriend picked up a combo to start fishing with me for $25. Can't beat it.

You can buy line in bulk, and they often sell live bait if you want it. Heck they even have lures for panfishing.

If your planning on going to bass pro, or some large store, stop here first. It'll be worth it.

Been coming here for a while now. Really helped assisted me as an angler to grow with the proper equipment at a budget I was comfortable with. Never pushy for you to buy. In fact one time I went into the store asking for heavier line, instead the store owner Angie told me to learn to tie a certain new knot instead. In fact she even provided me with a demonstration right in front of me. Also Brian who works there is also super knowledgeable and has been helping me for a long time!

Easily the best bait and tackle store in the Niagara region. Better prices than a lot of places that I’ve seen, loads of stock that is actually relevant to the local fish, and they can order if they don’t have something you need. Actual knowledgeable staff who can answer questions and make recommendations where needed. Would, and do, recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t already know about them.

Amazing staff went in to Pete's today purchased my first baitcaster set up got a Fenwick medium action rod that worked really good for bass. Super helpful place for beginners. The young man that sold me rod and reel set up even took me out to the parking lot after my purchase to show me how to cast properly with a weight on the baitcaster. Not many places would show you how to use the product so you can catch fish. Love this store was impressed with service and will continue to go back again and again

There is no place like on the planet this bait shop! Angela (wife of the late Peter) is a down to earth fisherwoman who knows more about the regions fish happenings than she's willing to admit! Which is smart, keep some secrets to yourself. She won't steer you to expensive equipment if you're a beginner, the recommendations come from a place of trust and brand loyalty. She wants you to catch fish, the rest is up to you. Amazing lady, nice young staff who have a passion for fishing and are constantly learning from all the locals who regular the establishment for terminal tackle and specific items. If Angela doesn't have it, she'll get it. And cheaper then all the box stores on almost every single item. The Best!

Great for gear, not so well with bait
They close before most people even get off of work and 80% of the time i find myself driving to erie tracker in port colborne to get minnows

Peter is the place to go for anything fishing related! The staff are super friendly and helpful. The environment is so welcoming and kind.every time I go to Peter's I always see people laughing and smiling. It's such a happy positive atmosphere! Best place to go for all your fishing needs!

Great store with great selection. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I wish we had more tackle shops like this.
