Nice place, adorable birds. Got my little hamster guy from them about two weeks now and he is so calm and laid back. Doesn’t bite or fuss. My kids absolutely love him. Will be coming back for two more soon. Thanks

Aquatics section very poorly taken care of, the mice and rats were at least 10 to a very small aquarium. The bunnies had no shelter to hid in, the terrariums were dirty. Smelt of bird poop.

Reasonable prices and quality pets/products. We bought 2 budgies, a large cage and all the gear and food as well and no complaints at all. The man that runs the store is very helpful and knowledgeable.

This is not the first time I have bought food from you guys and it’s been many years out of date and you guys don’t refund or exchange so the customer has to eat up the cost of out dated food

Found everything I needed for my birds. Purchased a striking hand raised, budgie. They had one of the friendliest green cheek conures I've seen. Also some super smart sun conures as well. They literally broke out of the cage to come see us.

Purchased a Scarlette Macaw named Jack. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about Macaws. Jack is very beautiful and tame. Zupreem food cheaper here than in other stores as well as toys for birds. So happy I found this store. Their Betta fish are also kept in a beautiful wall tank not small bowls. This store is a hidden treasure.

My bird Milo he died, not even 2 weeks dead overnight we checked why he died old age which the store owner said was 3 to 5 months and he said it was a Malaysian breed which doesn’t even exist. Like why would you want to ruin a kids heart and just kill a bird basically. EVERYONE who sees this DONT BUY A BUDGIE OR ANYTHING FROM HERE PLEASE.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Staff was condescending to me when I wanted to give my pets and adequately sized cage. They said they would sold rats as pets but they were housed with males and females together in store and when I got the rats home they were sneezing constantly. Found out too late that it was mites and they died a few a few months after I got them. Not to mention the amount of cleaning I had to do just to keep myself and my other pets safe.

We bought two budgies and both died in less than one month please do not buy from here because I have some past experience with birds and they had a disease or virus which is deadly. We had bad experience as well as others.

Bought a budgie from this store and will be returning to buy another one. The store is small but they have a lot of birds and some reptiles. I love my birds so I was very happy to receive one from this store. The store owner was very helpful.

The customer service is very bad. All they did was ask me what I want, they gave me then two birds and I paid them. When I got home one of the bird was not flying and it was coughing. 1 week later the bird died, story short. Don't get a pet from here because they give hurt animals without telling us. I got emotional and depressed because of this situation. If you love and respect your animal don’t shop for nothing here not even the animals. They look sick m, unhealthy, unhappy and their loving environment is disturbing. Don’t believe walk in for yourself. I’m certain you will find over 50 products expired. Absolutely sickening. The city and animal welfare needs to pay them a visit. Go to pet smart, pet value, big Al’s or anywhere else. You’re welcome.

I was blown away by the conditions that the animals are kept in! These people need to research animal care. Seems that the owner is in it for the money and knows nothing about animals. The chinchilla was kept in a tiny cage with no hides or toys…. And they had huge cages that they could keep the chinchilla in but keep it in some tiny cage. All of the animals looked depressed. The crested gecko cages blew my mind… no branches or leaves for an animal that is known to live in the trees. No food or water. And these animals need a humid environment, the terrariums were bone dry and the geckos were curled up in the corner. The crickets they had for sale were dead and mouldy. Fish tanks were awful and dirty. My friend and I left very upset by the conditions of these animals… then they comment on other reviews telling people to look at their blog to learn how to take care of animals…. They are very uneducated, and rabbits DO NOT EAT FRUIT. Don’t support this store.

My wife bought a young ferret back in October from this store that was very sick and unhealthy. When the store was called she was told "it's not our problem you bought the animal as is. Our beloved ferret (hayven just died lastnight) DO NOT BUY ANIMALS FROM THUS STORE! To the people who have gotten an animal here and have ad problems I am begging you to REPORT this store and have them shut down for good

I bought a chinchilla here and a week after I bought her she died… She was horribly underfed. You could feel her bones. When I brought her home, she would only sleep in her food dish and it was quite obvious she was mistreated. I find it horrifying that someone could abuse such a sweet and young animal and i hope this place gets shut down. Animals should be treated with proper care. As a business, you should not take on the responsibility of caring for multiple animals if you do not have an intention of doing so. Educate yourself before giving your money to these people. The don't deserve the profit.

Would give 0* if I could. October 21st 2022 I bought an 7 week old female ferret my husband and I figured they sold me a sick ferret but we loved and cared for her anyways.well today we woke up to her passed away poor baby didn't have a chance. Do NOT recommend this place st all!

Bought my son a ferret from them in July was told her was only 10 weeks he is actually over 2 years and he bites badly to the point I had to buy bite proof gloves just to be able to feed or change him I have owned ferrets many times in my life and I I’ve never dealt with one this aggressive and mean

Do not buy a chinchilla here or trust the advice they give about buying one. He sold me a Guinea pig cage which is not suitable for them because of the plastic and not big enough. They sold me a broken cage with none of the extras supposed to have (water bottle, food, food bowl etc). He told me to come back and he would give me some free chinchilla sand which took over 3 weeks to get. I went back 2-3 times when he said he had it and then I got there and said he didn’t. Chinchillas cannot have dried fruits they only eat pellets and hay. I tried telling the owner the food they sold was unsafe but he didn’t care. Do proper research before buying. I have given my chinchilla a great home since learning how to properly care for him. Very sketchy place would not recommend

If you come here I hope you like birds.
Because they are unavoidable - birds are too loud and smell pretty gross. Maybe call it bird kingdom or have one section of birds. Prices were great but my ears are still ringing.

No exchange or return, not even if your pet died because their product didn't work. Not to mention you can find just about anything in their store cheaper, elsewhere. For many reasons, just don't shop here. Or their little branch in the flea market "central pet"

The people working there are very nice. However, the animals are kept in very poor condition. The cages are extremely dirty. Some of the large African Grey parrots are kept together in extremely small cages meant for one much smaller bird. I felt very sorry for the animals.

The guy sells wild never handled birds at full price will not take them back upselling me the whole time

Bought my chinchilla at this location for $400 within 2 week see them for sale at $225 at same location. I messaged them and they Said for sure come and see them the following day, I went and he said oh no I don’t have any, go check out the flee market… which isn’t open during week days. I showed the man his messages to me that he sent and he said that it wasn’t him, so I left the store, went outside and called the number and he answered…. So he lied about product and messages that were sent. Also I have been trying for TWO weeks to get sand for my chinchilla but he keeps saying it’s coming it’s coming well it’s been almost three weeks now and since I got my chinchilla from him my chinchilla is use to the sand he used and my chinchilla won’t use dust. And this is the only location that sells this sand. Very frustrating and not good customer service. Also during the week I wouldn’t bother trying to call as he doesn’t answer his phone.

I love this place! Small little independent pet store. I get all my birds and accessories there. Great service.

Recently got our beautiful ringneck parrot from their Oshawa location. Daniella who ran the cash was nice however. I have to say our buddy seems traumatized. His wings were horribly clipped and when asked how old the bird was we were not provided accurate information. Nor does the little guy have a band to identify his age. We are working to give our bird a happy home and nourishment and vet care but.why are some birds banded and some aren't?

Bought my budgie from here, staff was very friendly and kind! Be sure to check out all the other cool animals they have! They even have a macaw!

We had bought a Pineapple Conure we love her so much she is very healthy alot of energy, most of all my best part in my day is in the morning when she wakes up she wants a kiss, soon we plan to buy Sun Conure as well

The store is clean & bright, the gentleman who owns it is friendly & knowledgable. They carry everything for your furry or scalie friend. I went in to get prey for my snake he carries both live & pre killed.

Went here for the first time today and I probably won't be back. The store was nice enough and the prices weren't bad but the man working there followed me and my husband around from the moment we got in the door looking over shelves at us standing super close it made my entire visit uncomfortable and awkward every time we would stop to look at something he would start talking over us trying to talk to each other. We own three gerbils a hamster a bunny a hedgehog and fish we would have gladly spent a good amount of money here had we not felt so uncomfortable. I suggest you give your customers space to shop.

Tiny filthy cages, hardly any toys for the birds he has. Terrible perches for their feet. Cotton toys are bad for birds, he didn’t even put in research, if he did he would have known of bird safe chew toys. That toy was so frayed I’m sure the birds have some stuck in their crop somewhere, but so long as someone drops money they’re not his problem anymore. Blockages are expensive. They literally have bird safe chew toys like yucca wood and untreated sea grass. His birds were having strange droppings, and appeared to have dirty bottoms so I asked the owner if they’ve ever been to the vet. He acted like he had zero idea what I was talking about, and said that they’re 39 dollars they don’t need vets and that he feeds them. Like great, anyone can feed a bird. Thanks for admitting that it’s all about money. Unethical. His birds don’t look healthy. If you’re selling birds to people, they need to have some sort of vet clearance. Especially because he has a baby sitting thing where he will hold your bird for a few days. If your birds that you sell haven’t been to a vet, the people you babysit for could have their birds end up sick. It doesn’t matter if they’re in different cages, air borne illness and cross contamination when he cleans can happen. He had a whole food dish sitting on the floor where anything could have been kicked into it. Couldnt even keep it up high. If he’s that lazy he probably doesn’t even prevent cross contamination between cages. The cages are filthy, and they have cotton rope toys which they chew on and it causes a crop impaction but again he apparently doesn’t believe in vets so he probably doesn’t know that cotton toys are bad. He should put yucca bird kebabs as a toy, it’s way safer and they can actually digest the material. Having owned birds for a long time, I expected better. I don’t care if that’s how he makes a living, the birds are in bad shape. At least pet smart knows enough to ensure their birds are vetted, and has a guarantee to treat your bird if it’s sick during the first month. Plenty of better places to go, including the shelter or a breeder (so long as you can see that the birds are well cared for). Its not enough to change the cage paper and feed them, you also need to provide proper enrichment so you’re selling birds that aren’t stressed out. You also need to make sure you prevent as best you can illnesses in the birds that people pay for. To me, they are living creatures and deserve to be respected. I don’t care about their price tag, he treats them like a commodity instead of living breathing creatures with feelings. It’s easier to exploit birds I guess.

Good selection of birds but we had purchased a pineapple conure a month ago it has been DNA tested and we were told they would phone with the results which wouldn't take long to come back. We have not heard anything about what the result was they have not been in contact.

It's a small place, with good selection of birds, fish and some reptiles. The reason for 4 stars is only because the owner was rushing us a bit before closing.

Their ad said $299 for a cockatiel but it was double the price and the birds were scared out of their mind don't shop here unless you like high prices

Months ago. I decided to call before traveling here because i was interested in shopping for aqua supplies. I had never received a answer the person spoke to loudly saying were open and hung up. Today 04/26/2021 i call and someone was more polite this time. When i arrived i asked to see the aquarium related products and was shown with no issues. I left with some aqua products and plan on returning * i did notice bunny abuse * such as no bottom because there was a bucket for them to all currl up in instead of a matt. I didn't notice any sick fish today.update. May 19 2021. Owner was being very rude and rushy. Also when picking fish he will ruthlessly pick all of them instead of the one i picked out.you lost a customer permanently.nothing but difficulties here and very clear animal neglect. Employee breaking covid rules. Let customer in while breaking own rule about one customer * previously. Owner Told me i had only five minutes and argued instead of serving. And wouldnt let me shop downstairs and was lieing.other products. I noticed a dead fish, was likely floating for hours. And also noticed sick fish the. Barb

Bought a beautiful Conure for company of my Conure (recently lost his budgie friend). Told "hand raised". I already have a hand raised Conure and definitely know the difference. This poor baby is terrified and it has taken weeks to get her relaxed to even be touched!
Her wings are SO badly clipped it will take a moulting season for her to fly hopefully! The salesmen was clueless to birds care, food. Horrible place

Visited today and was sad to see the person working there encouraging another couple to buy a water bottle, small cage and kibble with fruit for a baby bunny they were purchasing. Bunnies are complex and require alfalfa hay (when babies) and do best with water bowls and space to run around. The man working there was trying to convince us to buy the weird kibble too. The animals being sold didn’t have proper cages/aquariums. The bunnies were kept in a cage with a wire bottom with nothing soft or entertaining for them. It looked like one had conjunctivitis too. There was a lone scared conure hiding behind a toy in another cage. We left to visit a Pet Valu for better quality products. If you plan on purchasing a new pet, please do research OUTSIDE of this store.

Good selection on overall stock.
If your a reptile owner, you'd be excited to see they sell live rodents for feeds. But at the expense of your wallet as they over charge 3x as much. $2.25 adult mouse or 22.99 for 12 adult mice at a store in Toronto. Here your paying 4.50 each. So 5 for $25 for 12 for 25$

Should re-evaluate your pricing.

Great new store. Lots of variety from pet food, toys, enclosures, cages. Every time I go in there always keep on stocking shelves with more products. Friendly place to go and see what they have. I was surprised to see they have 2 levels in the store. Cant wait to see when the fish arrive as they have lots of fish tanks. Also have a good variety of birds. Cant wait to go back again.

Excellent experience last week here getting our cockatiel. There are some gorgeous birds in store and the staff are ready to talk about all of them before you make a decision. We were set up with a cage, food, water dish, and toys for him, they also gave us some treats for free which was really nice.

Great Pet shop for getting birds, rabbits and reptiles. They have a wide range of selection for food and toys as well. Staff is knowledgeable and the product prices are decent too. I'll surely recommend visiting this shop for once.
