Philthy Philly's Cheesesteak and Poutinerie

Very overpriced for the portions that you get. The taste is what you'd expect for fast food but at this price you might as well to eat at a restaurant and get more food

The only reason I'm eating 5 stars is for the employee that made my food tonight. I was 12: 30 am, he was most likely tired, as well. It's 12: 30 am. He grabbed my poutine wrong and ended up dumping it on the counter. No big deal, right? He ended up turning around to his employer? Manager? Someone clearly of a higher standing (this male employee seemed new) and told her he had dumped it and was met with a death glare and an aggressive "make another one". It actually hurt MY feelings. Accidents happen!
I really hope they're a lot more gentle with their employees than what I saw tonight. And if the gentleman that was working tonight sees this, you're doing amazing. Keep up the good work

What a huge disappointment, the portions are much smaller than before, I use to come here quite often but now it seems like this new owner is trying to cut corners to save money, I think corporate should look into this location before it'll loose most of it's customers. I will not be coming to this location anymore.

New owners are stingy used to be bomb guy scammed me more then once and doesn’t even let you collect points or redeem rewards nice lies I reported this company to corporate look at all the 1 star reviews that are new I’m not the only one

Either they sent me a smaller size by accident or their portions are being cut in half. Loyal customer who will be switching locations

Just stopped in for lunch, food was fantastic and fast! The staff were amazing and so very friendly! Definitely coming back!

This place used to be amazing. I think ownership changed because everytime I come here it's worse than before. I just keep hoping it's a one off and I'll get good food again, but I have to stop trying now. Portion size is down, gravy is like water and meat is often not a good texture/taste and fatty. Very disappointing.

Smit was LEGENDARY! My bf and I came in for the first time and he was so patient and guided us through the menu and options very patiently. Food was made fresh and delicious! Def gonna be coming back!

I want management to take a look at the width of your receipt paper - 3 inches wide. Now look at your receipt paper compared to (what is supposed to be) a 6 inch sandwich in the photo attached to this angry review.
This is how my delivery order showed up to my house - 4 inches of bread with a pinch of meat and drop of sauce.

Didn't like it as much as the Aurora location. One thing I definitely did not like was my sandwich cut in half after it was wrapped. All the aluminum foil was inside my sandwich, which is harmful and just bad. Not to mention the desserts are definitely not the price listed and way too overpriced.

Quick service, reasonable pricing. Cheesesteak sub and one patty burger were great. It was nice to have up to three-patty option for burgers.

Yummy. Good gravy. Lovely lady working there. Very patient when I told her I’ve never been there before and may need a few mins to look.

One day I may, I say may order something different but I love the Philly cheese steak sandwich, This is the 3rd Philthy Philly's location I have been to in the GTA and this one is awesome.

Found "Philthy Philly's" a year ago, and now rather their steak sandwiches once a week.

BEST Steak Sandwich I have eaten anywhere!

Need to have negative ratings. This was my go to and it has gone straight downhill in the last year. Sandwiches always seem to be dipped in water. So soggy you can't even pick it up without it falling apart. Don't try and bite into the sogginess unless you want to be sick. Who knows why it's so wet. I've seen how these were made in the past and have no clue how they are getting the bun so full of liquid without it literally being placed on a counter that was just wiped down. Pretty sad but I guess the owners are living off the name and quality that they used to have until they go out of business.

Did not really enjoy it. Portion was on the small side. Not a lot of flavour. Probably won't be back

I went on Tuesday and got 3 $6 specials. Not a bad amount of food for the price but not a great deal either. The poutine was pretty good. The sandwich meh. The steak filling tasted okay but really disappointing bread for a sandwich place.

The ingredients are fresh, well cooked, many options and combinations for a reasonable price, fast to deliver and the staff are really nice guys.
You will have no problems to park.

I would give this a negative rating if I could. I remember when the Davis location opened, the food was incredible and the portions were huge, even if the price was on the higher end, I was willing to pay it.

However, today I ordered 30 dollars worth of food and I got the soggy, tiny mess you see in the photos I took. The buns were soggy and it genuinely looks like the sandwiches were thrown into the foil and tossed into a bag. Not to mention they were stone cold. I could literally count the pieces of lettuce and other toppings. The service was atrocious and its very clear that the teenagers working there are doing so without any supervision. The restaurant is filthy (no pun intended) and when I called to ask why the sandwiches were in such a state I was told that the portion sizes went down but prices have went up. As a restaurant owner myself I am appalled at the experience with the Davis location, sacrificing quantity and quality, but still raising prices and the employees admit it willingly, it's amazing they still have business.

Don't ever get food from here, it's not worth the cost and the taste is mediocre at best. I will be telling anybody who asks me, to never step foot in this establishment.ever.

I find this location the best out all them.staff and food is always delicious. Although, I just witnessed tonight the very hard working young female employee make a dozen orders all on her own while the other employee (male) was off in La la land…

Delicious Cheesesteak! But not full after a $13 plus tax meal. So get ready to spend $16+ if you trying to be full for lunch or dinner. Will come again but not often.

The fries are soggy and gross. The customer service is terrible. Not a single person greetted me and no one would help me with the menu as it was my fist time visiting the franchise.

I had a couple cheesesteak sandwiches and the breakfast poutine with the egg on it, very good all of it.

I tried their $5 deal. It was a very small and just didn’t looks proper. In the picture you will see I put a small cracker for size reference. I was disappointed with the sandwich and don’t think I’ll be coming back

Best place to get poutine in the area, nothing will ever come close. Sandwiches are top notch and you definitely need the kicked up horsey sauce on anything you order it's so so so good.

When I want to treat myself this is my go to!

As soon as my son and I walked in we were greeted by almost all, if not all of the staff by very friendly hi's and hello's. I had been there before but it's been a while and they were very helpful with explaining everything with the menu. Out of the blue one of the staff came out and offered my 3 year old son a purple popsicle and he was so excited for it! From asking what toppings we wanted, to being greeted in and out of the store, In such a small time I had such a great experience! And then their was the food! So delicious! Could not stop eating it and will definitely be back for more.

Food here is always delicious and the service here is phenomenal. Obviously expect a small wait when it's busy, but it's very much worth it. Their cheesesteaks are quite good, but their pulled pork sandwich and poutine are also amazing.

I absolutely enjoyed their food and customer service, fantastic area nearby to my home. The employees are always very kind. Will come back again.

Uber driver delivered half of our order. Called filthy phillys to tell them that we didn't get the entire order. They immediately offered a free pick up of the same order.
Went there and NOT only they gave me the remaining of my order for free but:

Upgraded my poutine's size.
Gave me extra gravy.
Gave me a delicious chocolate slice.

Mind you guys, when this happens; it is not the restaurant's problem given that they handed over the food to the driver, usually a restaurant would tell you, call uber and solve this with them, instead the team at Newmarket's philty filly did this lovely gesture and for sure retained us as customers!

I have a small sandwich and fries plus a cook.
In 3 hours time I was feeling sick. I was taken to the hospital because of the extreme stomach pain and vomiting. I was told I had food poisoning. Never again will pick up food at this location.

Had a very enjoyable first experience! Talked to the owner at length he was very personable and very helpful explaining the extensive menu. We had a three cheese, cheese steak was awesome! All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner even gave us a free poutine to try! Will definitely be making this a regular stop!

Yummy goodness. They have a veggie burger option which was a pleasant surprise, and it's really good too.nice selection of sauces. Love this place!

Food is good, great choices but seriously out of touch at the Davis location. I order through skip once a week usually for me and my son. One Cheesesteak and chili cheese fries and one Big Eh with a poutine. Probably 8 or 10 times since Christmas. Not a napkin or a fork has ever been found in our delivery order, Really? I order us delivery from several places every week and never has this happened even once from anywhere else. Never get anything but what is on the bill

Hands down the best cheesesteaks I've found in canada, everything is cooked authentically and it's hard to stop eating once you start!

The poutine portions are huge with a large variety of options to choose from. The cheese steak and burgers are nice and made with fresh ingredients. The staff are always so friendly and I love that the young man on the grill sometimes sings and is clearly having a good time. Great value for the price. I'll definitely be back again and again!

We usually go there weekly in order to support small business. We ordered a large order to be delivered, seven sandwiches as well as sided and drinks. The big eh was not peameal but undercooked strips of bacon, whichawhich were inedible, no peppers as ordered. We also ordered a poutine, onions rings and French fries. They sent two poutines instead, which disappointed our guests. Better off going in and seeing what you are getting.

The portions are huge, the gravy is perfect, the fries are crispy, the pulled pork has lots of flavor and the curds are plentiful. We also tried their Philly steak cheese sandwich and it was good. Great place, well definitely come back.

At first glance my sub looks like a mess.but its supposed to! Once you bite into it you understand why looks dont mater, move out the way all fast food joints, Philliy's knows exactly how it's supposed to taste, full of flavors.loads of meat. Every bite was awsome and just overflowing of real steak and bacon. The poutine options are incredible, and it's very hard for me to say this.but its equivalent if not better than Loui's back home in Quebec! This poutine was made with homemade fries, awsome flavors in sauce and tonnes of cheese and meat. So much food we could of fed two on one sub and poutine. Not even a Quebecer roots and they beat them at their national dish!

Would absolutely recommend trying out this place. Great atmosphere, delicious food, great customer service. I recommend this place.

The staff didn't have much control over hair, found buddies curly brown hair in my poutine which is initially good for the first layer but half way through its just soggy fries and cheese curds.also the odd hair.

The food is awesome. The gravy for the poutine is one of the best. Philly cheese steak is very flavorful and the owner makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend this place.

Food made me sick the next day, poutine was terrible, would not recommend was good when it first opened however no it seems nobody has cleaned the place since which may be a factor in why I got sick.

The poutine is the secret shame here. Relatively cheap and - dare I say - almost too much curds and gravy? If you're getting your fries anywhere else in town you're screwing up.

Best Cheese steaks and loaded poutines in the area. Not for the calorie counters. The buns are always fresh and they make the perfect cheesesteak. We've eaten here many times over the years since they've opened. Don't be fooled by the size of the shop, or the location. Just be prepared to order to go if its peak times as it does have limited seating. The staff are always prompt and friendly. It's definitely worth the visit.

Come from a famous restaurant family been in 105 countries and ate at the best spots. You know that a restaurant is well owned with pride when is clean the staff is amazing (grill guy Austin) everyone’s smiling and pleasant to the max. Then you get to food that is the top of the list taste and quantity. With a menu to kill for. I will return again and again. Five stars out of four cheers

I went there for the first time. Store was very clean and modern. Service is excellent. Fast and to the point. I bought the Philly Cheese steak it was really good. I would definitely go back. A little bit on the pricey side for a large sub.

Great food.worth the price and staff is amazing. The girl who serves us here.is always so upbeat and positive with a smile and exceptionally great customer service skills. Tuesday's deals are great and this is our guilty pleasure place for s fast delicious great priced meal.

Currently working in Barrie. Had Smoke's a bit ago and it was good. Well Smoke's ran out of fries and I found this place. Quite happy Smoke's ran out of fries. This place is spot on. 5/5.

When I first came here I check the restaurant is clean and the other things was, I couldn't eat meats because of the delicious reason, but the Cashier who was Austin helped me what to chose she was absolutely professional, before I wanted to tell my order she totally understood me that was smart, than one's I ordered my vegetable poutine the cook who was cook very delicious, and the prices is okay too, thank you guys.

Ordered a regular, cut-and-dry cheese steak, waited 15 minutes until someone who ordered after me got their meal. When I asked them how much longer the wait would be, it turned out my order had been entirely forgotten for no discernible reason. They of course whipped it up for me, so I'd be willing to give them a second chance, but I'm not impressed.

The cheese steak was mediocre. Kind of just tasted like meat on a bun.

Tried it for the first time today. All my co-workers go there. AMAZING. Will be going there again.

Felt something hard while eating my poutine, turns out it was an OPEN staple, i shared the meal with my brother, and he actually ate one, glad it was closed and he did not get hurt. Food is overpriced and gravy not that good anyway. Will never buy from this place again.
