The vermicelli bun is very good here. I come here often Nd thr guy at the front remembers my order and is always very nice and efficient. They have a beer selection here which is nice too but expect some brands may not be in stock. Easy to find parking in the area, but do not park.in front of this restaurant directly as the city will ticket you.
Prices for Pho have definitely gone up, but still pretty affordable. Generous portion sizes, pretty tasty pho broth, service was pretty good as well. All around, pretty good.
Disgusting lack of food safety. Pho has now been ruined for me after the traumatizing experience of finding a larvae in my veggie soup. I was half way through my soup and picking out dirty lettuce bits, when something felt weird in mouth. I pulled my fork back out and realized it was some kind of worm, I was instantly violently sick and puked up everything I had eaten.
For food to be prepared improperly, not cleaned, or the kitchen to be so unclean that an entire bug was missed and the food itself was dirty is unacceptable. And with the amount of negative reviews - unaddressed by the owners, it clearly shows they don’t care. I’ve filed a formal complaint against Pho Bo Ga 2 to Ottawa Public Health. Looks like the last complaint-based inspection in June 2023 didn’t inspire the restaurant to make necessary changes.
At some point, you should not be allowed to reopen the same restaurant - or any restaurant under a different name. You’re clearly not qualified or don’t care about people’s health.
Contact me to discuss further although I doubt this will even be read by the restaurant.
The server here didn’t care about their costumers at all. I waited here for a long time, during this time, nobody come to serve me and I waited for my food for a long time. With a very bad attitude! Finished! Fighting town! The costumes were written in Chinese, and the length of time was long enough for people to listen to the costumes, and the service attitude was different.
Les serveurs ici ne se soucient pas du tout de leurs clients. J'ai attendu longtemps ici, pendant ce temps, personne n'est venu me servir, j'ai attendu longtemps pour ma nourriture. Mauvaise attitude!
The employees here have no interest in their customers at all. I waited here for a long time and no one served me during that time. I was waiting for my food. A bad attitude! ! !
Good broth, decent meat piece sizes. Priced now on the high end, flavourless beef, and old mint leaves. Not the best pho I’ve ever tasted but one of the better ones on Somerset. Their spring rolls are tasty but extremely oily (would not recommend).
At first the waitress seated us at an uncleaned table, she only took one plate and left the rest. We were standing there waiting for her to finish it up. After 2 mins of standing, I asked to move to another table. We got two pho and one fish cake. Never ever in my life had pho served with no bean sprout. The moment she put down the side veggie I was shocked by how little the basil leaves were for two people and there’s no bean sprouts. Also, this’s my first time observing fish cake served with peanut sauce. Tbh this combination resulted in a weird taste that I would never wanna try it again. They got my pho order wrong, they gave me rare beef when I requested no rare. They took it back, cooked it and gave it to me again. For people who dont know, the meat in beef pho comes from different places of the beef. So when I said no rare it meant I didn’t want that type of meat. Thus, they completely messed up my order. That taste was average, neither bad nor good. Not to mention how greasy utensils were. When we asked for the bill, the waitress just looked up the menu and did the calculation on her phone. That seemed unprofessional for a restaurant I guess… On my way out, I got quite confused with the price but because we didn’t have the receipt so we were clueless. I looked it up online and wow $17 for a small pho soup is very expensive eh. Anyway, after doing my own calculations I still didn’t know how that server got the bill. I dont know how long you guys have been opened but there are lots of things needed to be worked on. Otherwise I don’t recommend this place.
Was my fav pho bo ga on uber eat but Ill never ever go back there again. The food is now water down including the sriracha. Tonight they not only gave me the wrong order but instead of apologizing they became defensive. Extremely unprofessional
The staff was really sweet and accommodating but the food just wasn't very good. I ordered the vermicelli for take out and there was no sauce or seasoning, super bland.
The food is no longer good, the cleanliness of the site leaves much to be desired and the lady who serves the customers is very rude, I think I will never return. I do not recommend it
This used to be my favourite Vietnamese/pho restaurant in the city but I went to order online and it's $27.99 for an extra large rare beef. It was $13 a year ago and if you go in, cash only. Huh? Total rip. There are lots of great places that aren't so greedy
Horrible service, the girl at the front has really bad attitude. Ignoring customers while we were talking to her, and giving customers attitude for no reason.
Pho soup was bland and hoisin sauce was grainy; the color and taste was completely off. No lime or bean sprouts. Waited 20 minutes to pay with only one customer in front. Incompetent and non friendly staff. There are so many better Pho restaurants in Chinatown. Do not go to this one!
