Pho Challenge is a cute, little place with an automated service robot. The Robot is more of a gimmick for that little space. The food was good provided that depended on your choice of the menu. The fried fish and the mango salad that I tried weren't very impressive though my friends liked the Pho option. I will need to make an another visit to try the Pho sometimes. Parking is not convenient on the Pape Avenue. The free parking that I got was a sheer luck on the fast food premises that lie closeby.
I ordered from Pho Challenge when I was not feeling well and wanted some healthy, tasty soup. Pho Challenge did not disappoint! The veggie lemongrass noodle soup was so tasty, and the portions were so big. Also get the tofu fresh rolls, also very good. Overall, it was tasty, fast, reasonably priced, free delivery (in the neighbourhood) and the pho came with all the accompaniments. Would highly recommend!
This 5-star review goes to the little lady who helped me ring out my pickup order on a quiet Tuesday evening. She was extremely professional, respectful, competent, and sweet. The chicken vermicelli was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Was in the area and craving some hot pho to fight the cold weather. I was thoroughly impressed for my first time here!
I ordered their house special pho and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was incredibly flavourful and very clean, with a perfect balance of seasoning and ingredients.
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout my visit. I arrived just after the lunch rush, so it was relatively quiet and peaceful.
Overall, I had an excellent experience at Pho Challenge and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious pho in the East York area. The quality of the food, combined with the friendly staff, made it a five-star experience for me. I will definitely be back!
I order from Pho Challenge regularly, and it's usually alright (albeit overpriced, and they just keep raising the cost).
However, last night we ordered two rare beef noodle soups, and the beef was frozen when it arrived.
That is already horrifying enough on its own, but we made the mistake of eating it. Firstly, it cooled the broth down so much that it wasn't able to fully thaw and cook the beef.
Second, it tasted off. Like chemicals or just plain wrong.
I ended up getting sick and vomiting.
Steer clear of pho challenge, they aren't able to sell all their product so they stick it in the freezer for god knows how long, and serve it to you even if it's gone off.
Unless you want food poisoning, eat somewhere else.
The best pho place in Toronto, in my opinion. My boyfriend who is from BC agreed when I took him there when he came to Toronto to visit me back in October. It’s a family-owned business and your friendly neighborhood pho restaurant. The owners are great, friendly, chatty, and are always happy to help. I ordered online and told the lady I’d pay once I got there to save time on my way to work, and she didn’t have any issues. She even added utensils for me because I told her I’d pick it up on my way to work. I always order the seafood udon noodles and the fried calamari and they never disappoint. The mango salad is also great (reminds me of Thailand’s street food market).
If you are craving a delicious warm bowl of pho noodles this is the place to go. Flavour of the soup is just right not too much and won’t feel thirsty after. Restaurant is clean, service is friendly. Recommended!
Easily my favourite Pho place! Great service, very clean dining and washrooms and most importantly great food. I always get the veggie Pho soup with veggie broth and tofu. They also have a great mango salad with toasted coconut bits. Highly recommended.
I recently visited Pho Challenge restaurant in Toronto and I was thoroughly impressed with the food. I ordered the Chicken Pho, which was absolutely delicious. The broth was flavorful and aromatic, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The noodles were perfectly cooked as well, and there was a generous portion of fresh herbs and vegetables on the side.
I also tried the Chicken Vermicelli, which was equally tasty. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the vermicelli noodles were perfectly cooked. The dish came with a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs, as well as a savory sauce that tied everything together.
To top it off, I ordered the Mango Salad, which was a perfect complement to the other dishes. The mango was ripe and juicy, and the mix of herbs and vegetables provided a nice balance of flavors and textures.
Overall, I highly recommend Pho Challenge restaurant for their delicious food and excellent service. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, this is definitely a great place to check out.
We’ve been coming to Pho Challenge for a few years now, love their tasty food and fair prices. My kids’ favourite is the grilled chicken with rice and crispy spring rolls. We also love their wonton noodle soup and pork vermicelli.
Wonderful, aromatic, and rich Pho. It's not for me to say if it's authentic, but I can definitely say it's delicious! Portions were also incredible, and the price was very reasonable. 10/10 would recommend and try again
