Always fast service and delicious pho special. They specifically mark which spring rolls, apps and dishes (pho is always) are gluten free. Clean washrooms. Ample parking lot.
I ordered the house special. My dish wasn’t served with lime/lemon and some one came in after ordering the same and was served with lime/ lemon. When I asked the waiter for sate sauce he acted like I was annoying him.
First time here and I must say I was a bit disappointed considering they had fairly good reviews.the food was ok, nothing great or different from other places. I had a Pho with rare beef, well done beef, tripe, tendon and meatballs. The broth wasn't anything special and they really cheap out on the other ingredients. I got 1 piece if tripe, 1 small piece of tendon and 1 meat ball. They shouldn't say "meatballs" which is plural if there's only 1. The fresh tools had more noodle then shrimp. They charge $10 and looks like they use 1 shrimp cut in pieces to stead it out on the roll. Needless to say i was very disappointed and will never come here again. I paid almost $50 for mediocre food. Way over priced for the quality and quantity. There is l better Pho places which are better in that area.
Ordered three bowls of Pho and have only one small dish of vegetable, which was really not enough. Asking one more dish of vegetable and the server asked for charging more money for the vegetable. I hope this can be improved.
Our family loves this place! We go there once in 3 months and never get disappointed. All meals are tasty, good portions, served quickly. And the young servers are nice, polite and smiling. It is also clean. 5/5!
They don't answer the phone so ordering is impossible. I had to drive over to place order. And they told me the phones 'are down'. I ask how are all these orders ready for pick up then. He said, we'll I don't know. Hate it when people just lie about stuff. Don't care how good the food is, or is not, I won't order or eat at this chain again. And.let's be honest, I'm sure they don't care.
One of my fave spots for Pho in the city. The staff is always friendly and attentive, restaurant is clean, and they have a very extensive menu so there’s something for everyone.
Convenient location, but the food itself wasn't as good as other places we've been to. Idk, my partner and myself did not find it good, meat looked frozen? Or just the broth wasn't hot enough to cook it further, taste was bit underwhelming, under seasoned or something. Service was ok, nothing special nor bad. I'd visit again to give another try when I am in the area, but our first visit wasn't impressed with the overall food quality.
Been coming here for years. They used to be really good but seems after COVID they went downhill. Prices went up even though I sure they were busier during COVID due to the take out services. And the service got worse. I moved a bit further but still come cuz food is good. They close at 9: 30 and I got there at 8: 50. Just wanted Pho soup. They said they weren’t serving anymore cuz they needed to clean up. I mean I just wanted soup. Doesn’t take long to make and I would be out before 9: 30 for sure. So basically they just wanted to be out the door by 9: 30 so they could go home. Just seemed lazy to me. Never going back again. Over priced and poor service.
This is my home address. I eat here about 10 times per month. The broth arrives hot, the bowl is full of meaty ingredients and not just a heavy amount of noodles (which it also does). Try the deep fried banana dessert. The ONLY reason this isn't my number 1 is because the other place is open 24hours. I love the service at Pho House.they are prompt and super friendly. Highly recommended but remember that it's MY place and I don't need a roommate, thank you
I came to this location for first time. Unfortunately was bad experience. Food was ok but not the same as other location and girl was a bit rude looked like not paying attention and kind of ignoring.
Been here recently for take out and the service was extremely fast. Friendly staff and all Covid protocols were followed. Food was hot and great portion for the amount it cost. Definitely coming back. This is my new go to place for Vietnamese food. Would absolutely recommend
I want to report something seriously unprofessional behaviour about your restaurant. Kindly please leave me your contact details so that I can discuss further for the same. I don’t want to disclose it here as it gonna affect your restaurant. Thank you.
Here’s an honest review of my visit to PHO HOUSE located at 5230 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON. My girlfriend and I visited for lunch on January 4th, 2022 just before Ontario shuts down dine-in and I wanted to share my lunch experience with you below:
Location/ Business amenities: 1 out of 1 star This restaurant is very easy to get too considering it’s close proximity to Kipling station and Dundas street. The only catch is it shares the parking lot with other notable businesses including a Shoppers Drug Mart. It can get a little busy during rush hour however let’s not lose sight of the fact that parking is free and the restaurant is easily accessible. They also offer a 10% off on take-out for orders above $25 before taxes. In cash!:) This is if the restaurant is busy and you aren’t feeling the wait. This restaurant is also listed on major apps including UBER EATS.
Staffing: 1 out of 1 star Upon entry you’re instantly greeted by a head host. They give you plenty of dining options including dine-in.take-out, delivery or pick up later in the evening. We opted for dine-in as the restaurant had few guests and this will be our last chance before shutdowns. Plus we were craving fresh Pho.
Service: 1 out of 1 star From the moment we sat down and ordered our drinks we waited very little for our food. The service was great and well paced. The table had all of our condiments and eating utensils. Tables were clean and sanitized as staff cleans after every guest leaves.
Food: 1 out of 1 star The food arrived hot and fresh. We ordered the Cripsy Chicken Spring rolls for appetizers, Pho House Special Rice Noodle Soup as our main and shared a delicious Sweet & Sour Chicken with steamed rice. The food was very well presented and tasted fresh. Everything was perfectly prepared and we were also able to take it home for leftovers.
Wow factor: Half a star This is where it gets tricky to review a restaurant based on the atmosphere and experience based on everything going on but the business could use a little bit of love and an upgrade to the overall decorum and furniture. It was a bit cold with CP24 playing in the background. There is music but still doesn’t capture the cozy dining experience. This is why I give it half a star. No doubt this business has faced challenges with the pandemic and I’m hoping the local community tastes and experiences this wonderful food so the business continues to thrive and stay afloat.
Overall we enjoyed our last lunch out for some time. All of the condos in the surrounding area are lucky to have this restaurant close and if you’re feeling some Pho no doubt you have to give this place a try. We are very happy with our restaurant choice and hope to visit again soon. With that I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Great pho restaurant One of my favourite Pho place in Etobicoke. Have been multiple times and my experience is always delightful. Staffs friendly. 10/10 pho place.
Excellent Thai restaurant. Friendly, courteous staff. Plenty of tables. Great to either dine in or take out. So glad to have this place in the neighborhood.
I came to eat here last night and ordered the pho noodle soup medium size bowl. The portion size was alot. There was more noodles in this bowl compared to the other pho restaurants I have visited. The Phillips TV closer to the front door was a bit yellow tint on the screen. The plant by the front door needed to be watered it was very brown.
At random came to the house. The place looks bright, spacious and clean. I ordered spring chicken and veggies roll and Tom Yum soup. The rolls were ok, but I can't say the same about soup (so disappointed! The service was good. 3 out of 5 for the soup. Sorry
Pho House is amazing place to enjoy Pho and other Vietnamese food. Delicious food and friendly services. Absolutely come back again with my families and friends. Wonderful restaurant!
I ordered shrimp and chicken Tom yum and got 1 shrimp in my soup. They also charged me more money for a side order I didn't ask for and Uber authorized the extra charge. Uber isn't refunding my money. They are fighting me on it. The food was alright if you like heartburn.
First time dining out in person since COVID first hit and not only was the food amazing (I recommend the chicken basil thai noodles), but I felt completely safe for anyone who is still hesitant to dine in! So glad to have went today:)
Liberal servings and portions of meat. Prices are average. Lots of seating and friendly staff. This is my go-to place when I'm traveling through Kipling station.
The Pho House is a spacious restaurant, quite big especially for a Vietnamese Restaurant. GPS could be off in terms of telling you the exact direction. It kept telling me to go a certain way but it's a big plaza that you intersects both big roads.
I ordered a Large Pho Special that contains all the ingredients from rare beef, cooked beef, beef balls, tripe, brisket, etc. However, I was a bit disappointed of the lack or relatively small portion of beef provided in this bowl. This is a Large Bowl but yet there are like 2 or 3 sliced tripes, the portion of the meat provided are very little as compared to other Pho restaurants. And I am always reasonable and if I have to say it's small portion, it's really small portion. There are lots of broth and noodles but not enough meat, the meat to broth to noodles didn't match. Otherwise, the flavour of the broth is good, it tastes good and excellent service.
This is one of my go-to places when I want something fast, good, and cheap, but not a fast-food restaurant. I've never had a bad experience here, but I don't know how it compares to other pho restaurants because I've only been to a couple.
Very modern and cozy place. I have tried many if their dishes and they are all very tasty. Huge portions as well, so very good value for your money. We frequent it very often.
First time trying Pho and won't be my last. The servers were very nice and accommodating as we came just before closing. The food came fast and was delicious. A great experience and will definitely be coming back.
I don't often write reviews something is worthwhile to say, in this case I feel it to be necessary. Ordered some pho for takeout on a Tuesday night. Utensils, we're left out asked for chili paste, that was not in the bag and didn't fill my hoisen sauce. When I called back to let them know the feedback they simply said sorry and immediately hung up. They obviously don't want my business or care about good service. However, the meal was actually ok.
Really great pho! I highly recommend this place. The broth was not too salty and the noodles were very fine. Also, be sure to check out their coffee! Excellent environment close to Kipling station.
Nice place, flavor is good. The palce is spacious and clean. Service is fast and courteous, prices are right. Free parking and take out is also fast. They would really help more with some pictures.
I think I'm starting to see a trend. If a pho place doesn't have Vietnamese in its name, and instead have an English word in it, it's almost always just okay. This place fits the bill pretty well. Server and service was probably the high point for this place. Friendly servers and fast service. However the broth is not strong enough, kind of feel like it's watered down and it's missing something. As a result, it is hard for the rice noodle to grab onto the broth and flavour. It is really just okay. If you are craving pho and there are no other better option in the neighborhood, this is an okay option.
Do you like hair in your food? I don't, stay away! Ordered my food and it had a long black hair in it, they remade the dish and it also had a hair in it.
Great for a quick bite on a cold day next to the Kipling subway. Very clean, and the staff is on point. Their price is right. Great service overall. Looking forward to my next visit!
Went here for the first time to grab lunch and it was delicious. Had chicken pad thai and shrimp rolls, the portions were very generous. Will definitely be returning.
Very nice family run restaurant. The bowls of pho are very large compared to the old pho places I been to in the past. Tripe, muscle, tendons and traditional ingredients are all used. This is real Vietnamese cooking.
The dining area is quite modern and clean. The place was full and the service was very prompt and friendly. The only complaint was the the seating between the chair and the table was a tad tight. Maybe that's a sign that I getting too fat.
This place was bright, good lighting, clean. We got our faster than anything that I’ve ever seen, albeit it wasn’t busy at the time that we got there. The food was amazing we ordered the pho with chicken and rice noodle soup. The broth was savoury wasn’t too salty and the serving size was more than what we expected. The chicken fried was amazing with a generous amount of chicken. Overall I would highly recommend this place. This was my 4th time coming and trust me my 5th time will be coming soon!
