Pho Metro

We tried the beef and chicken based phos, a chicken and spring roll vermicelli, and fresh rice rolls. The pho broth tastes bland and lacks dimension. The meat in all the dishes was very dry. There is also not much meat in the pho, and a lot of noodle compared to other restaurants. The staff were friendly.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the pho and vermicelli as much as other nearby pho & vietnamese restaurants.

Note that there is a cash discount.

Taste was good but I wish they gave more meat in the bowls of pho. We also got the lemongrass chicken vermicelli and there was a lot of meat on it! Will come again!

Good pho as expected and the rice is not bad. Prices have been going up but pretty common everywhere now anyways.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here but WOW, they still keep the same quality! The prices and portion still the same as before! I still love the taste and atmosphere, It’s unbeatable! I highly recommend trying this place, you’ll definitely love it!

The noodles here is always delicious and hits the spot. Whether you want to dine in our take out, the service here is always top notch. I’ve also gotten take out from this restaurant and the food is always packed well too. You will always be greeted by a kind and friendly gentleman that welcomes you like family!

So pricey. Don’t pay extra for bad service.

It was my first time at this location, and I thought it was fantastic! The owner was extremely friendly and personable to each customer that came in. The restaurant also has infection prevention and control policies, which made me feel quite safe.

A very good Bun Bo Hue with a delicate broth, not too spicy, not too sour and not too much fermented shrimp paste. The vietnamese sausage is excellent, no pork blood though.

Cafe sua da was also good

First off the place is very clean, all tables are sanitized and you’ll need proof of vaccination to dine in. Staff are ultra enthusiastic and friendly. Dishes cost $17 on average. We ordered P1 and X16 and they were fantastic. I should add that you might find the portions a bit smaller than other pho places, but it should be enough for most.

Went for an early dinner with my husband. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. You need to show your vaccination certificate to eat there. This is posted right on the door. We didn’t have a problem with that. In fact, it made us feel better that they were protecting their staff and customers by doing this.

I had the lemongrass pork and vermicelli with spring roll and my husband had the beef brisket pho soup. Both were delicious. Portions were large. We did not leave hungry that’s for sure!

We were in and out in less than an hour with out feeling the least bit rushed. We’ll be back even though it’s farther than some of the other Vietnamese restaurants for us.

It was a bit pricey compared to other places especially for the amount of food we got. We ordered a few large bowls of pho and everyone at dinner thought it was a small.

They asked for vaccine passport even though the mandates have been lifted! I walked tight out I wouldn't spend my money on a restaurant that discriminates against people.

THEY ASK FOR VACCINE PASSPORT EVEN THOUGH THE MANDATES HAVE BEEN LIFTED! Don't spend money on people who support discrimination.

Very disappointed that Pho Metro still wants to see my vaccination records which is my personal health information to serve me food even tho the government mandates have been lifted. I’ll look into whether this breaks any rules or bylaw, if so, I’ll make sure this is reported.

I want to start by saying that I always enjoy the food and service here. Considering there was a thunderstorm today and it caused a rush at the restaurant. I understand that I would have to wait a while. I ordered at 7: 20 p.m. For takeout and received my order at 8: 15 p.m. (I didn't phone in to make an order. I came in and waited in my car till the order was ready). This is still alright because I understand the situation. However, when I got home and sipped my soursop smoothie is was very watered down. It hardly had any flavor or Soursop. For a $6 smoothie I wasn't expecting water slush.

Restaurant is clean and comfortable. Food is good. Viet Ice coffee is one of the best in Toronto. Only problem is dish portion too small (according to price). Overall I give 4.5

Great place for Pho Markham! Super friendly staff! Pho bowls are very flavourful and prices are very reasonable. We’ll be back!

The food is always good and the service is quick. Joe, the host and cashier guy, is the best. He makes every customer feel welcome.

Pho Metro is by far one of the best pho restaurants I’ve been to. From the incredible staff who are always welcoming and hospitable to the delicious food, I would highly recommend to everyone! Keep up the great work!

Ordered the Bun Rleu (Vietnamese ham, pork and crab meatballs served with thin rice vermicelli in tomato broth). The crab meatballs look more like cakes rather than meatballs and the portion of this bowl is small but good for me. Service is good as you will get a big welcome the moment you step into the restaurant.

Cravings satisfied- they do a darn good job with all their pho. Ordered three different ones and they all hit the spot - can’t go wrong

Went there for takeout for the first time this week and I was impressed. I have never had pho before and really enjoyed the meal. I also got an appetizer as I wasn't sure how large the portion was for pho. It wasn't needed as the pho portion was huge but was very delicious! I will be going back for sure and looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Disappointed with the food quality and and the fact that the food is being served in plastic bowls and take out containers. Also was charged different price than what was in the menu. Not the pho experience I was hoping for! If you are are looking for authentic pho go somewhere else.

Note: the screenshot of the menu is from QR code! Side note, the soursop smoothie was just a slushy with 0 flavor. The avocado one was much better.

The man at working the front counter is very friendly and talkative. We were hoping the food would be as wonderful as he was, unfortunately it wasn't. The Soup just tasted completely off, and everything is served in plastic, plastic bowls and spoons. The owner or manager can respond all they want to this complaint from customers with a fort knox defense, but I never, never in my life been seated inside a Pho restaurant where I have had my meal served to me in a plastic bowl. With so many Asian people living around the area I was expecting something a lot better, way better. I will never be coming back to this restaurant under any circumstances.

This place has surprisingly great vegan and vegetarian options. The Bún Bò Huế is my favorite from here the broth is flavorful and spicy the basil noodles and faux beef and ham make for a refreshing dining experience that is both not to heavy but very filling. Customer service is also excellent I have never dined in here (I discovered this place during covid) but the gentleman at the desk is kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place to all pho lovers, vegan, veg, or meat eaters!

Friendly and efficient service, and the staff really treats their customers well. I heard/saw the front end staff address no less than 4 customers on a first name basis and they always seemed so happy. It’s clear there’s a reason why they seem to have so many regulars. When I went to pay my bill, I was treated to a complimentary ice coffee. You guys are awesome!

The food was alright/good. However there was A Lot more rice in the dishes then the menu indicates online. The ratio of rice to other ingredients seemed quite uneven. Overall the food tasted fine, but for the price I would've preferred more ingredients other than rice. We will probably give them another shot in the future. I'd recommend you try them out though and see for yourself!

Edit: we got take out. So I don't take this as a comment on service in the restaurant or it's staff. From our interaction they all seemed super nice.

My new favorite Vietnamese Place.

From outside it didn't look great and I was doubting going in there. But I am glad I did.

The service was amazing. 5 Star. The guy at the counter was very friendly and was very welcoming. It was kind of service that makes you wanna go back to the restaurant.

The food was excellent and price was good too. Even though they got my order wrong but when I brought it to their attention, they were very friendly and accommodating and fix it with a smile and friendly attitude.

I ordered chicken stake with rice. The chicken was cooked very good. Just by looking at the chicken I was impress because it looked like cooked well. Off course it tasted good too.

Th tea served also had very nice aroma.

Also, very nice environment inside and very hygienic.

My only issue is that they served in paper plates with plastic cutlery. I understand this is due to covid. It was a bit annoying cutting chicken with plastic knife on a paper plate. Usually I would have taken out points for this inconvenience but due to good quality of food and excellent service I will ignore it as temporary inconvenience.

I will surely be going back here for some good Vietnamese food.

My family has been going to pho metro for the past 2 years and we love it. Joe is super nice and remembers all our names even when we call for take out.he gives the kids freezies during the summer.we love it here because its not overly salty like other pho restaurants and the portions are good and it is clean.compared to other pho restaurants they have the friendliest environment.

I've been eating here for years. If you have time to read reviews, just go try it.

Personal recommendation? The Pho is great, but I get Pad Thai or Spring Rolls more often. All great

Tried this place for the first time recently. The use of disposable bowls/cutlery made me feel more comfortable dining in. Great service, great food, will definitely be back.

Service: A+! The staff at the front (owner? If not, he deserves to be the owner) was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Love the atmosphere he created.

Food: Ordered a vermicelli bowl and regular pho. Portions were perfect and the flavouring was great. The flavour of the cooked meats were good. I drank all the pho soup, which I seldom do. No complaints here, just praises!

Added bonus: The staff member mentioned above drew a really cute cartoon at the front! Good jokes too that my partner and I laughed at after we left the restaurant (staff dude, if you're reading this, it's the candy and wrapper joke).

We will definitely be returning. Can't wait 'till you open the restaurant for in-person dining!

Authentic Vietnamese food with lots of variety, some dishes you can't find at other restaurants.
Bun bo Hue and Pho are both amazing. We tried Hu tieu My Tho as well and it tasted just like home.
I order here every week and will come back more.

The staff at this location are consistently some of the friendliest and most enjoyable staff! They have worked so hard during COVID and I’m very happy to see them back open and continuing to provide to their community. The whole family are amazingly hard working and deserve much more than a rest, but maybe some community recognition! All the best Pho Metro family and staff!

Been going here for years now with my wife Lilly, funny thing is we have a Pho store around the corner from us but still drive or take out from Bur Oak! I'm not the easiest guy to please but Joe manages everytime to get that order on point the portions are good, vegetables are fresh even during the covid take out. I can't wait to visit and dine in again. Pho has been my main go to but the vermicelli and rice are also the best in town! Keep up the great work guys

My parents have lived in this neighborhood forever, so I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try the place. First of all, the service, like everyone else on here shares, was phenomenal. The guy at the front was super friendly, and after our conversation about scary movies, my husband and I wanted to be his friends lol. I am vegetarian and appreciated the special veggie section in the menu, as it can be hard to find veggie dishes at Pho. The guy even called over his sister, who is also vegetarian and works in the kitchen, to offer her suggestions. The food ended up being very tasty, and the faux chicken was one of the best mock meats I’ve ever had. Definitely will come back soon!

The Vietnamese ice coffee here is insanely flavourful and had more kick than a double espresso.

Ordered takeout, X2 and P7. The service was amazing. They were so friendly, you could tell they really appreciate their customers. The food was delicious and quantity was great! The pho was very clear, and they gave a lot of noodles and meat. The rice was so good and flavourful too! I highly recommend this place. Pricing is good for what you get.

Love the fresh spring rolls here, the grilled meat is seasoned perfectly and it was so delicious. Pricing is very reasonable and service is quite quick!

Excellent pho and rice dish experience. Staff are always attentive and cheerful. Reaspnsble prices with a 10% cash discount. Overall a wonderful meal experience.

Gotta say it's good to find a place like home. Bun Rieu and Bun Bo Hue is on point. Very home style and super authentic. Plus the coffee hits the spot just right.

This place has THE BEST Vietnamese coffee ever. Depending on how sweet you like it, you can ask them for less condensed milk. I love it because it's pretty much the only restaurant with coffee that actually wakes me up.

Their noodles are the a little on the small size but their broth is perfect - flavorful. However, I would like to see a little more meat in it.

Their rice paper rolls are absolutely to die for - especially the one with beef! Absolute heaven.

There's a rice dish - C1 (I forgot the name of the dish), but it's got chicken, pork, beef, a bit of pig skin, and a sunny side up egg:) - definitely VERY very, very, good!

On a side note, they've also opened a store in Hong Kong because of how delicious their noodles are!

Always good to go to pho Metro. You feel right at home because of all the friendly staff. I mean super friendly staff. Everyone of them is super nice and their food is also very good.

This place has sustained my low budget as a high school student. I recommend the P1 pho, it's the best one in my opinion.

Food is good quality, love the broth. However, the hospitality makes this place shine. It could get pretty busy during lunch time but you will always feel taken care of.

When we visit relatives in Markham we always go there for lunch. The pho is never a disappointment! Great spot for a quick lunch that fills your belly.

The place was very clean and staff was very friendly and professional. Pho was not oily and good amount of meet. Spring rolls were fantastic!

We live nearby and this is the restaurant we will go to when we want pho other than the one located at the other street. Food is yummy and really friendly staff.

I went to the front to go pay in cash, after hearing distinctly one of the owner’s telling 2 customers that it was 10% off for paying in cash. When I asked if there was a 10% cash, he told me no.

So I decided to pay with my credit card seeing that I get 1.5% back and didn’t want to carry coins/keep some cash on me. He begins to shame me for using my credit card, telling me I want to hurt his small business. He keeps going - telling me how much it hurts his business, as well as all the fees he has to pay when the customer uses card. I tell him its more convenient for me. He doesn’t stop - gives me attitude telling me its more convenient for me, but not for him.

Not sure why he was so insistent on shaming me for using a credit card, as if it’s the customers obligation to help his “small business”, when there was no benefit for me to use cash. Otherwise - I thought the food and people were great up until that point. Won’t be coming back - what a shame for his “small business”.

The guy who answers the phone is so smooth. I feel like I have to match his smoothness. "I feel ya man, let me supasize dat springroll". I'm pretty full now.

Always love pho metro. Quick service, friendly staff and the place is clean and family friendly for small kids. Kids get to draw on their menu papers. The Scarborough location is great too & has a take-out section.

Been coming here for sometime now. Great service every time and food is always consistent. They are really good with substitutions (diet restrictions) and the food still tastes fantastic!

I ordered a grilled pork chop rice. It came with 2 pieces of pork chop, 1 of them was 95% bone! How can they serve this part of the meat to the costumer!? I felt like being rob to get this pork chop to be honest.

The other dish I had ordered is the spring roll. This is one of the worst I ate in Toronto.the skin is so thick for spring roll, and the stuffed was so little for Vietnam spring roll.

Also, I don’t feel comfortable to eat there as the floor, seat, cup, and utensil etc were not very clean.

For the service, four people had served me, 2 waitresses were not very polite.but 2 waiters are friendly and helpful.hmm, I guess this 1 star is for these two waiters.

I really dunno why the rating of this restaurant is so high!? Totally bad experience for me, never come back.
