Had the BBH, fried spring rolls and took home a pork belly Banh mi. This place is legit. If you want Viet food and are in the area check out this place out.
For a Tuesday night during a rain storm this place was BUSY at dinner time. Lots of take out orders and groups of people coming and going.
We were seated fairly quickly, and were given tea right away. Write down your order on the paper provided. The waitress we got either spoke limited English, didn't want to do her job, or didn't want to answer my question. There was no Mango bubble tea available because they said there was no tapioca. So I asked if I could have the drink without tapioca. And she just kept pushing the Mango Smoothie without answering or seeming to understand my question - which I did eventually get ($6.00)
It did take a while for the food to come out. My friend got her order first and waited maybe less than ten minutes before mine came out.
Food was excellent. Good portion! Great flavor.
Signs say there is a one hour seating limit - I think this is for when it is REALLY BUSY. Pretty sure we were there longer than one hour - friend said staff were giving us kinda the side eye, even though there was no one waiting to be seated.
10% off if you pay cash which is nice.
Overall I would come back again.
Service may not be phenomenal but that's just me. Food is still great.
Had high hopes for this restaurant because of the good ratings, but left a bit disappointed
We got the house special pho, bo bun hue, shrimp rice paper rolls, and an iced coffee. The house special pho lacked depth of flavour and the broth tasted very surface-level. The meat pieces were also small. The shrimp rice paper rolls were filled with just rice noodles, lettuce, and a bit of shrimp. No herbs or interesting vegetables so it tasted very plain, even with the dipping sauce (which mostly just tasted like hoisin). The bo bun hue was not bad, probably the best thing we ordered. The iced coffee was probably 80% ice and 20% coffee and was finished in like 3 sips.
Service was a bit slow but the restaurant was quite busy so it was understandable. There was a default 10% tip and they do not split bills for groups bigger than 4 people. There is a 10% cash discount.
Washroom was clean and looked recently renovated.
Overall, food was not super great and we will probably not be coming back.
I had a disappointing experience with the $18.00 plate of food. The presentation was unappetizing, the beef lacked proper searing and had a grey color. Additionally, there were minimal noodles. When I raised my concerns, they brought extra noodles without sauce, leaving the dish dry. I wouldn't recommend this place, there are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto who have better service and quality food for a better price at that!
Tasty, hot and fast. However, MSG In the broth was very strong like someone else said. I tasted something off and my viet friend said there is too much MSG. Other food was good. There is no real server/service other than taking orders and bringing food.
Amazing! We made the trip for the brisket curry pho and it was well worth it. There was a generous portion of beef in both bowls, and the flavour was fantastic. I also ordered a side of grilled pork chop, which was also delicious! My husband ordered some veg spring rolls filled with potato bits and veg (?) that were bland, so wouldn't recommend those. Will be happy to return, even though it's quite a hike for us!
Don't forget to sign in when you arrive! The wait wasn't too bad, but we had to line up for at least 15min.
Small and dingy place. Food is nothing special. Owner is VERY RUDE. I gave her a 1 star because there’s no option to rate her at a negative 10. My first and last time. I DO NOT recommend this place. RUN! Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants.
Food's good, but service is mediocre. They don't tell you that tips are already included (around 18%), so you might accidentally end up paying double tips, which is what happened to us (totaling around 30%!). Not very honest.
This place is excellent! The dishes are really rich in flavour and high quality meats. Overall affordable and clean, with quick and efficient service. We have been a few times for lunch dates, and will definitely go again!
We went for dinner around 6 on a Wednesday and got a table for 3 right away. I ordered the $18.99 curry brisket pho, which was pretty good. The food took a while to come compared to other pho places I've been to. The portion size was large, and they gave a lot of brisket. It had a nice blend of Vietnamese curry and pho flavour. The brisket wasn't much different than the beef that most other pho have. Some pieces were a bit dry, but still better than a lot of places I've been. Overall, it's a decent Vietnamese restaurant.
The best spot to fill your pho craving! Rare beef spicy pho is my go-to order here. The noodles, the meat, the broth, everything is perfect. The kimchi fries are also really good. Around lunch/dinner time there is usually a bit of a wait, but it is well worth it and the service is amazing. Love seeing a full house in a restaurant where they really care about the quality of the food that is served, as well as their hospitality. I am a long time customer and will continue to come here often.
The food is really good and i loved it, but very spicy. The servers are very hard to get their attention even if you could be doing the most movement in front of them. The restaurant can fit alot of people and is a good environment overall. Tasty candies at the paying resister table
This place got me hooked and craving for Vietnamese food. Had the P1-House Special Noodle soup and B3A- Vermicelli with Grilled chicken and fried spring roll. They were really good and hearty. The portions are rlly big. We just ordered a medium of P1 and it was good for 2 persons. Perfect for winter!
The location is good, very accessible and easy to find.
