Pho My Tan Ky Restaurant

I’m on a mission to try every pho place in Niagara. Pho My Tan Ky was all around extremely disapointing. Lets start with the service. I had to ask for water twice and when we finally got it, they didn’t bring us cups? We asked for chili oil and were given less than a 1oz takeout container of it. We had to ask for more chili oil at least 3 times. Normally, places have a decent amount of it already on the table, ready to use. No rare beef only well-done. The meat was clumped together and not cut or separated with too much ginger. Overall this was a 4.8/10 and we will not be returning.

The food is pretty good (however the quality of the broth is getting worse, not nearly as much colagen) but the sevice is dismal. I was ordering from them at least once a week but they refuse to give extra chili oil with my order. No option for it on door dash and "special instructions" are greyed out. When I call, they tell me they don't have enough? Make more.
It's a tiny expense to keep a steady customer happy but I guess that's too much to ask of these folks.
I'll take my business elsewhere.

Delicious soup, best pho around in my opinion. Generous portions of meat, consistently delicious broth, perfect noodle texture, lots of Thai basil and bean sprouts. Would recommend over and over again

Hue style soup was not as good as I had other places in London or Nflds but pho was phodelishsous! Would definitely go back for that and the avocado shake and taro bubble tea! Service was also top notch!

Food is delicious and the place is clean. Friendly staff as well. We definitely recommend the place.

The food is delicious. There is a lot of beef in the special beef noodle dish, which is the most beef among all the Vietnamese restaurants I have ever eaten.

This was my first visit, and I thoroughly loved it; the food and service were both fantastic!

Food - First off, the protions was very satisfying. Especially for the price! I enjoyed my com tam and my friend enjoyed her pho. It was tasty and filled me up. It wasn't anything crazy or amazing, however it was well done.

Service - The staff was friendly, professional, and hardworking. Can't ask for more.

Ambiance - Plenty of seating, clean, and bright. There isn't a lot of deco, but you can see some sprinkled about. It is also located near a lot of tourist attractions in Niagara.

Overall, I would recommend for anyone lookiny to affordable standard viet food.

On the way back from U. S.to Toronto, stopped at this place for a quick pho fix, it’s so good! Good service and very reasonable price. (opinions from people who had tried most of the pho places from GTA.) I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the Niagara Fall area.

Parking was good, many spots. I always tried pho, but I tried different dishes this time. It was amazing like always.

We've been ordering from this location for years and always appreciated the fair value of portion: price. However, the recent price increases (paid $18 for shrimp fried rice takeout) seems like a bit of a reach and will sadly impact the frequency that I can justify ordering from here going forward: (

As an avid GTA pho enthusiast, I can honestly say I approve of this restaurant and will definitely return next time I'm in the area. Ordered an extra large pho tai and a fried spring roll. The fried spring roll wrap was different than the traditional ones I've had. It was light crispy similar in texture to a papadum, and not overly oily. The pho soup was very hot, and I could very much pick out the star anise flavour in the soup. They also include a small container of satay which was a pleasant surprise. The satay has a hint of sweetness which was very unique.

Came here with my family as the first pho restaurant we went to was overpacked.and I don't regret it! We ordered spring rolls and pho. Soup was made from good broth (didn't taste watered down) and spring rolls were crispy and tasty. Friendly and efficient staff. Spacious and clean space. Next time I'm back in Niagara I will come back to try other dishes!

It was very tasty pho soup. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. I also ordered Vietnamese beef.not bad) if you take their bread similar to a French baguette (of course, this is not a French baguette, but they have the same shape), then you can make a cool sandwich.
As soon as I am in the area, I will definitely visit them again.

We had the fresh spring rolls with shrimp (asked for no pork in them), and the vermicelli bowls with fried spring rolls. Everything was really good and what we were expecting from a Vietnamese restaurant: all the toppings we would expect, nice fresh herbs, good peanut sauce for the fresh rolls, and the deep fried rolls were really yummy. The service was fast and very nice (they were very patient with our active toddler).

Food was great, well priced. A little harder to accommodate certain food sensitivites/allergies due to the style of cuisine, but they tried very hard and came up with something which still tasted good.

So u usually go there for soup spend about $70 3 times a week the last time I went was total nightmare. I ordered a fish dish they had at their menu it was a clay pot dish came with rice and soup I pointed it out to them because their is no English for it and the server said just write it down. ‍️‍️ Ok I’ll try I said the lady came out asked me if I’m getting that order and pointed to the menu, I said yes and said that it would take 30 min I said np. When the food arrived I got a soup with my fish in it. I asked why I got fish soup she said because I didn’t write all the words down from the menu. ‍️ I said I don’t even speak viet how am I suppose to know what I’m writing when the server told me to write it? I still got charged for the full meal and all I got was fish in water my bill was $70 never will k come there again they just lost a good customer

Very large variety of dishes to choose from - appetizers, pho, other noodles soup, dry vermicelli, broken rice, vegetarian options, drinks… the deep fried beancurd was good and I liked the pho too (soup was tasty and authentic, the ingredients were great too). Also appreciate that there provide various size options for a lot (not all) of their dishes which was good if we weren’t planning to eat a lot. They also provide hot tea for free! There was a lot of tables available for dine in.

I placed two spring rolls order online to be picked up after an hour. When I went to pick up the order after an hour, the restaurant did not have my order ready and was told to just sit and wait 15 minutes for the order to be ready and they’d call me. But 15 minutes wait turned into 30 minutes, then another 40 minutes. I had to literally ask/beg for the staff to check the order with the kitchen but she was not helpful and inattentive. The restaurant seemed to be very chaotic, poorly managed and there was lack of communication between back kitchen and front staff/waiters. The service was really bad and even if their food were “good”, it’s not worth a 40-minute wait (after pre-scheduling pick-up of just two orders of spring rolls an hour ahead). As I was standing by the order desk/counter I also observed some of the kitchen staff not wearing hair nets and some wear masks and others don’t, really seems chaotic like a chaotic kitchen reality show and unable to serve food timely. Will not come back here again as not worth the hassle even if food was good/ok - there are other good Vietnamese restaurants in Niagara Falls with good customer service.

A large selection on the menu, venue is spacious and clean. I like the option of different sizes for pho. Food is Vietnamese authentic, and fresh. (Look at the basil). Rice roll with sausage was delicious

One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants in the city. Their broth is very tasty. I also highly recommend the veal rib dish. It's absolutely amazing. And I don't typically order other ethnical food from such places but they have some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had.

We just went back for takeout following the various pandemic closures of their dining room and they were VERY busy. The quality of the food remains high.

Love the quality and variety of food. And the staff are excellent.

Food is not bad, but the service is incredibly ranked number 1 from the bottom as if you go to a Ukrainian restaurant as a Russian. They didn’t speak at all since we entered the restaurant, only nodding their heads even when serving. Incredibly unforgettable.

I went here last Thursday March 17th got no service inside, the girl didn’t greet us or given us any menus VERY Rude Customer Service. My 3 year old daughter, 13 year old niece, and myself got very bad food poisoning, spoke to the owner who played dumb together with his wife, and the same girl who served us who keep denying it was from their food. Please save yourself from getting sick and eat elsewhere, I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemies. If you did happen to eat here and got food poisoning please file a report with the Niagara restaurant food and health department.

I’ve ordered food from this restaurant many times - has it always been perfect? No. But the customer service was nice & I never found an issue big enough to not return. Prior to today, I would’ve recommended this restaurant.
After today? I most definitely would not. I ordered my food; through a food delivery service - I received the package that had been sealed and not tampered with. As I begin to eat my lunch, I stop and get immediately sick to my stomach. Inside my food container is a dead insect.
All of what I ordered is now in the garbage and I can truly say I’d NEVER eat from here again.

I have had pho, a rice noodle dish with beef and pad thai from here before. All have been well-presented, delicious and of great value. I particularly recommend the chicken pad thai! It's the best I've had so far in Niagara especially compared to Mai Thai which is supposed to be authentic thai but their pad thai is dry, too ketchupy tasting and over priced. Pho My Tan Ky nailed it with juicy, soft pad thai with lots of chicken. I even got to pick my level of spiciness.

Hands down best pho Ive ever tried in Ontario! (Ive tried pho at 95% pho restaurants in Toronto)
I would give 10/5 stars if i can!
I regret not taking pictures. I literally inhaled the whole bowl of pho the moment it come out because it smelled and tasted so good.

They are wayyyyyy better than most pho restaurants in Toronto.
Everything is perfect: aroma, depth, flavour.
The broth is to die for. Most authentic pho broth ive ever tasted in canada. Such depth and super flavourful. The brisket meat has amazing texture and flavour.
The spring rolls and fresh rolls are pretty good as well.

For the quality and portion that they offer, the price is cheap! Ive paid way more for a pho bowl in Toronto that tasted not even half as good.

Very good Food. Everything we tried it was delicious. Now I know where I will eat every time I visit Niagara Falls. No crowd, free parking and the waiters were friendly.

Been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the GTA area and this one has the best taste. The beef is not only soft but has a lot of herb taste. Service is friendly and quick. Place is clean. Menu has a lot of different item. Will definitely come back and try other items.

Best pho in Canada so far. My Vietnamese wife and I have stopped by here twice in a week and we plan to get it tomorrow on our way home from our vacation. The soups are fantastic and the best we’ve had on this side of the world.

Got the Pho Dac Biet and Sour Sop Shake. Broth was really well done, comparable to homemade! The vegetables that came with the rice noodle soup was fresh and a great addition with the hot oil chilis. The shake was blended well and not too sweet, refreshing and a good way to end the experience!

Came here for the first time based on a friends suggestion. This place is dynamite! Food was excellent, portions were very fair and the prices were reasonable. Super tasty and was happy we came. I will be back soon to try other dishes. Yum.

Best pho place ever! I drive here from Toronto just to get the food and drinks here. The broth is so good and I love getting the 3 beans drink!

The best pho I've had, and my new go to place! The shrimp and pork fresh rolls are delicious, the pork is seasoned well and I love their peanut sauce for dipping. The chili oil they serve with their pho is great. Generous portions for a reasonable price.

Tasty food at reasonable price. Ordered numerous times from here and we always happy with our food.

I can say this is the best place to go for Vietnamese food. My friend and I have been here for over a year and never disappointed! Highly recommend

It was a treat to dine in, it's been awhile. I ordered the bun vermicelli with pork and spring roll. Everything was perfect. The vermicelli was slightly overdone but not enough to turn it back. And the fish sauce cocktail that accompanied the noodles was rich in flavor. Portions were generous too.
Finished with taro bubble tea. Enjoyed it all with pleasure.

Mediocre food! I wouldn't be surprised if they use powder for the pho broth. Not authentic vietnamese food or just a lack luster of passion by the chef this evening.

It’s the first time I am so angry for this restaurant and the delivery they did to my meal. I used DoorDash to deliver my meal. When the driver arrived, the whole package became a hot mess. The soup went out of the cup, and ran into other dishes. Everything is ruined. What I angry the most was how DoorDash driver and the people from this restaurant handled this when I called them. They both blamed to each other, and no one apologize for it. Please give me a reasonable explanation and a sincere apology.

The Vietnamese iced coffee is so good, everything ive had from here so far has been amazing i also like how the drinks come with a pokemon plastic lid seal

Amazing food and above all amazing staff and service. The two young ladies at the front are just so welcoming and go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy.

The food was SOO good! I got the raw beef, my husband got the chicken rice noodle soup. So good! And we couldn't believe how clean the place was! We'll be back for sure and we'll tell everyone about this.

My whole family loves this place. We love their soups, shrimp & pork veggie wraps, and their rice dishes with grilled meats are great as well. The owners and employees are always welcoming. Highly recommended!

Went hiking and super hungry afterwards, wasn't hoping to have a good meal at Niagara Falls but this place is really good! Big portion and good price.

Our family had an awesome time. Pho soup was so good. You can taste the flavors. One of the best. Hot pot was way too good. The lady who served us was very helpful and kind. She was even suggesting us not to buy more as we already ordered hotpot. Overall great food, great service. We will come again.

It is delicious! The portion is so big with a really affordable and reasonable price. This chicken pad thai is around $12 The sauce is so so good and with the perfect amount of sweetness! Staffs are extremely friendly as well, I truly recommend this place.

There is nothing make stand out over other restaurants. It is jist like any other Vietnamese Restaurant. No complaints though, the food is decent enough for a second visit. Don't be turned off due to this review, just been to too many restaurants.
