I will first say I ordered takeout and the food was very good but I had two issues, there was a hair in my fish oil which I initially ignored, then also found a bug in my beef stew. I understand these things can happen in a kitchen so I don’t want to be scathing as the food was otherwise very good and the service was great as well. Will take a break from ordering but hope to return eventually.
I've had the pleasure of dining at Pho Quinn Vietnamese Restaurant several times now, and each visit has been a delightful experience. I've tried everything from the Pho soup to the Bun and Rice plate, and I must say, the food is consistently delicious. But what really stands out for me are the Nem Nuong rolls - they are simply the best I've had in a long time. The combination of flavors and textures in these rolls is truly amazing. The service is also top-notch, with a friendly and helpful staff who ensure that you have a great dining experience. I highly recommend Pho Quinn Vietnamese Restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine that never disappoints.
Not bad for the price, hot soup for pho and the meat and noodles are fresh. If you don’t like raw bean spouts, you can ask them to bring you cooked ones.
The restaurant is clean and they bring chopsticks and spoon in a bucket of hot water. Staff service was decent.
Been a regular at this restaurant for years now and it stays a go to. Service is good and food always comes out fast and hot. Now I typically always order a vermicelli bowl but I have a suspicion they are putting less and less noddles in my bowl each time. Side eye. Nonetheless still a great Vietnamese restaurant to check out.
First time trying, the pho is very good, broth is not overly salty with good flavour. The 3 bean drink was ok, but not sweet enough. The pho is the star though, and would highly recommend.
I like their Pho and the rice noodles (without soup). They both taste great! I tried both take out and dine in, the Pho definitely tastes better if you eat in. And the rice noodles (without soup) were still GOOD when I ate them at home. Good Vietnamese food, will definitely go again.
I got the rare beef and beef balls pho and the broth was disappointing. There wasn't any taste to the broth the only good thing about the bowl was the amount of toppings they gave. I also ordered the avocado milkshake it also had little taste to it. Every dish came out picture perfect until you taste it.
This is one of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants, I've come here too many times. The lemongrass pork chops is chefs kiss.the meals feel healthy and balanced as well.
New Year's Eve 2022. Ordered chicken pho and pork spring rolls. Friend ordered bun with spring roll and sausage on a bed of rice noodles. Everything was hot and delicious. Service was prompt and courteous. Pho Quinn never disappoints - a great neighborhood restaurant!
Could not even finish my food because it was so bland and ruined my appetite. Would not recommend this place for your pho fix. Definitely not authentic Vietnamese, heard them speaking Chinese to each other.
First thing first, if you are looking for a conventional Canadian Pho, this is not the place for you. For someone who has been Hanoi, had the authentic pho bo there, you will probably find them pretty alright and the taste is spot on.
Pho bo is originally from North Vietnam, the beef broth was made of beef bones, lemon grass, cinnamon, shallot and various spices. The ingredients were still boiled (boiled under very low heat) to make a clear broth. The colour of the broth should be light and clear, fragrant is more important and profound than the taste. That's what we looking for and that's what we have here.
The bun bo hue here is also very authentic. You can definitely taste the shrimp paste in the soup and a piece of pork trotter as topping is also a must in bun bo hue. The flavour, the toppings and the soup has ticked all the boxes for what it is, there are not many places could do such authentic Vietnam noodles soup in Markham.
I know some might say the soup here is lack of flavours compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Markham, but are those the authentic pho, probably not. The Pho here is not too heavy, not too strong in flavour but morish and enjoyable.
Spring rolls were crispy and used the right pastry to wrap. Gotta say there are so many Chinese-nised spring rolls here in Markham's Vietnamese restaurants, thankfully they are not one of them.
Dishes here seem authentic and they even have the bamboo shoot and duck noodles soup in the menu, which is not usually seen in Vietnamese shop over here. I had it once in Hanoi and I love it but the fermented bamboo shoot smell is not everyone's cup of tea, I will probably try it next time around.
All in all, the dishes here are authentic and delicious, but may not be the one that the Canadians liked and had for decades.
One last thing, if they would give us a bigger plate of herbs and bean sprouts, it would be miraculous.
Food amazed me and my friend. We went here after shopping yesterday, and ordered two kinds of vermicelli to share. End up ordered additional soup and fried spring rolls. Would definitely come again!
The food is ok, except the mango salad which has very little mango strips, most are just lettuce. Will not order again. The coconut water is exceptionally good and fresh. The pho is ok but the L portion is not as big as others.
Portions are tiny compared to neighboring pho paces in Markham, the employees seemed disinterested with engaging with customers and the taste of the food overall was just meh. We won't be buying pho from here again.
Haven’t been here in a while, but the pho was bland and didn’t have much flavour to it. Service was terrible. This one waiter had such a bad attitude and gave me the bill before I even asked for it. No one was waiting for a table. Terrible and will not return.
Decided to give Pho Quinn a try to curb our Vietnamese craving. Did it succeed? Absolutely. Everything that we ordered was pretty much spot on. The pho broth was nice and subtle, not too overpowering with any fake beef broth flavouring and not too salty. If you like your broth on the saltier side then you won’t like it but I love it the way it is. Rating: 4.3 out of 5
The fried spring roll was delicious and one of the best I’ve ever tasted at a restaurant. Had some quality ingredients like carrots, pork, woods ear and vermicelli. It was fried perfectly. The rolls with Vietnamese sausage was nice and fresh. Rating: 4.2 out of 5
The Bun Bo Hue tasted exactly the way it should taste. Good flavours and good amount of noodles. Rating: 4.1 out of 5
The pho broth was way too salty (probably to hide the lack of flavour there). The tendon was served as massive chunks. It is not a place to go for good pho. HOWEVER the drinks are nice and the other food on the menu look great! Can't wait to come back and try something else.
Bad service bad food. Waiters and waitresses simply just ignore you. Took forever to order food and took a long time to ask for the bill. Ordered pad Thai and a pho, and they brought two phos. Told them and they looked at the order in the system and replaced the extra pho with the pad Thai. The pad Thai was very bad. All I taste is a sweet tomato sauce, no where close to a good pad Thai. The pho was better but not enough soup. Overall very bad experience and won’t be returning here.
Great food at a low price. Fast service once you flag their attention. My favourite is the curry chicken vermicelli soup. The deep fried spring rolls are a must-try!
I ordered the vermicelli with grilled pork, spring roll, and Vietnamese sausage (D02) two times and I really liked the portions they give for the price, lots of meat and vermicelli. It was a tasty and quick meal as my order was ready within 10 minutes and staff was also very friendly when I called.
Not only do they offer fresh and flavourful meals but they also make sure you have an awesome experience w their friendly service
The noodles in the soup were rly soft while the pepper chicken was super crispy and tasty my fav tho, the vermicelli was densely packed and a great option if you’re trying to beat the heat?
The restaurant is spaciousness, good place for gathering. Many varieties of Vietnamese foods, they all are quite yummy so far I tried. And the drinks are pretty good too.
Terrible service and food.ordered B02 beef noodle soup and there was only 5 tiny thin slices of beef about size of a large postage stamp.the beef was overcooked and tough, even though I ordered rare.when it came to paying he took my cash and didn't bring back any change and automatically assumed I'm tipping him 20%, but I don't care it was worth more than 20% to get out of that resturaunt as fast as possible.
I was really impressed with this place, excellent food selection, really well made menu with pictures of almost all the options. Cook and waitress go over and beyond to explain and make sure you know what you are ordering. Might just be my new favorite pho.
I feel at home when I eat here, the owner is very friendly and food is delicious fresh and great taste. I am a food lover and this is always my first choice.
The best pho in the area, we came in around 8: 30pm (last minute) they didn't mind they just didn't want to rush us. Very friendly staff to say the least.
Recommend this if you're around and want some good noodles for good pricing!
I've been going to this gem for almost 2yrs. Today I had horrible service. Bring someone who speaks Cantonese. I love how they stare at you while you try to enjoy a meal. Laughing at me. Not cool. Food is great otherwise. This is my last visit. You lost a good customer.
I had pho there. They were stingy with bean sprouts gave us one basil with 2 leafs on it for a large size pho. There were chunks of fat attached to their beef briskets. The food was not fresh.
Not to mention the waitresses and waiters were rude. I will not return to the restaurant, it was such an unpleasant experience.
The food and service was great! I can only eat gluten free food. The owner was really really nice and accommodating to my dietary restrictions. They would bring me the ingredients to verify that there was no wheat ingredients included in the food. The food was soooooo good!
I used to eat here by myself and it is one of my favourite pho spots! This photo was from April 2020 when I ordered takeout for my family. They were very kind and food was delicious. The pad Thai wasn’t my favourite but I am not picky, I still finished the entire container. Overall, I enjoyed everything!
Found 2 hairs in our food. The rare beef has cartilage and fatty pieces. They did not give us cutlery or the bean sprout side dishes, had to ask twice. Broth soup is pretty good however.
Well run pho eatery. Food came within 2 minutes of ordering. Good portions and great prices. Pho was not overly salty (huge plus for me as lots of places like to hide poor quality soup with salt). Very tidy and clean, I would even recommend to come here for dates. I had a pho spot before coming and they closed down, I'm grateful for this restaurant as it has now become my new go to. Edit: spelling
Such an amazing place. The staff are always awesome and friendly. Even during this hard times they accommodate people in a very friendly manner. Of course the food is at a super quality every single time. The only pho place we love.
Great! A friend introduced to me. The food is great, the service is great. Highly recommended. Ask them how traditional viet ways to eat these food and they may offer you another condiments to bring out flavour of their food even more. Totally will keep coming back.
I ordered here for the first time recently and I will be back. Very nice lay out and awesome staff. The food is excellent we ordered a couple of appetizers, soups and vermicelli noodle mixed items. Prices are very reasonable for Vietnamese food. The place gives you a good vibe overall.
Have dinned there few times. The place is clean. The food is about average as typical Vietnamese restaurants in town. However the service is lacking. The service persons are not friendly. They basically taking order, bringing food without any smile. Not recommended to come.
Good service, food was pretty decent. Ordered the traditional Pho Dac Biet, Bun Bo Hue, Nem Nuong Cuon (fresh salad rolls with grilled sausage & shakes all around. Fresh fruit shakes were delicious, my 3 bean shake was good but my serving was only 3/4 full with ice. Flavour was great, just wish I had a bit more. Pho was pretty big, not sure if they had different sizes but mine was massive! Pretty good, LOTS of noodles, lots of tendon & decent broth. Bun Bo Hue was nice & spicy but missing the full bodied broth. Filled with cuts of meats & actually contained pork hocks! Not alot of restaurants include this which is essential in this dish. No blood cubes but it didn't take away from the flavour.
The spot is wonderful and spacious, the menu was enchanting and the prices were very fair.rapidly, efficient service and very affable waiters. I recommend this place.
Delicious and tasty noodle soup! Yummy but may not worth the extra dollar ordering a Large (L) as size wise it's merely a Medium (M) in other Pho places.
Service is very quick here, and the seating is comfortable. I ordered the spring rolls, which were perfectly crispy and packed with filling, as a starter. My entree was the bun rieu, which had a very flavourful, sweet broth (thanks to the tomatoes) and plenty of goodies (tofu, meatball-like thing, ham/fish cake? - sorry I clearly had no idea what I was eating, but everything was great!). I also ordered the iced Vietnamese coffee, which was a predictably good caffeine boost, not quite as strong as I've had at other places. They use the new Square terminal for credit card payments - so hip and sleek!
Food was good and we got the order in minutes. Only drawback is food is at room temperature and they get entire order at once which makes it even more cold.
Food was at room temperature upon arrival and the chicken was very dry and tough. Asked the server who was nice enough to attempt to see what he could do but upper management decided to tell me theres nothing they can do. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
