Pho Vietnamese Delight

I came here to have dinner after work one evening. At the adjacent table, there were an Indian and a Middle Eastern person who ordered a lot of food and suddenly left without paying, essentially dining and dashing. I felt sorry for the restaurant, and it seemed like reporting it to the police wouldn’t be effective.

This is going to be biased because I am Vietnamese but the pho wasn't that good: the broth was missing the aroma and flavour you would expect from authentic pho. It was also pretty salty but eatable and there was something wrong with the noodles but I can't really point out what it was. One good thing I would say is that portion sizes are big (or perhaps I can't eat as much as I used to). Overall a so-so experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pho Vietnamese Delight, conveniently situated at 3555 Don Mills Rd unit 9, North York, ON M2H 3N3. Let me just say, this restaurant truly lives up to its name, providing a delightful Vietnamese culinary experience.

From the moment I entered, the staff greeted me with warmth and kindness, creating a welcoming atmosphere. As a first-time eater of Vietnamese cuisine, I wasn't sure what to expect, but Pho Vietnamese Delight surpassed all my expectations with their incredible food and efficient service.

For my meal, I opted for the 135 Lemongrass Chicken Noodle Soup, and I must say, it was a perfect choice. As someone who prefers non-spicy dishes, this soup hit the mark, as it carried a delightful lemongrass flavour without any overpowering heat. The balance of flavours was superb, and the generous portion left me feeling fully satisfied.

To complement my meal, I decided to quench my thirst with a refreshing watermelon juice. What impressed me most was that the restaurant made it from fresh watermelon, resulting in a vibrant and naturally sweet beverage. It was the ideal companion to the flavourful soup, enhancing my dining experience.

Food is good. Waiter ignored me for 30 mins before taking my order. Older waiter was more polite younger waiter ignored me and took my girlfriend's order and gave her her food 15 mins before mine. By the time, I received my food it was cold. Maybe if you want a higher tip next time don't ignore me and my girlfriend when we are attempting to order from the menu.

I always go there after work every now and then I would give a tip.but today I decided to not leave a tip. And the cashier asked me to leave a tip after I have already paid. Very disappointing.their utensils smell like it's been covered with bleach and alcohol. If you come to this location be prepared to leave a tip or you will get hassled. My recommendation is if you are asking for customers to leave tips then raise your prices. Just a thought. Jan 4,2023.

Came here for lunch and ouck the Hainanese Chicken off the lunch special. Was quite surprised that it looked like the picture. Great portion size for $10. I will definitely be back.

Inexpensive, great food offered in generous portions. Fast and friendly service.

The pho here is very salty. The man behind the counter didnt seem very friendly when i came to pick up my order.

Taste good the first time and just so - so the second time. I guess you don’t go too early, the food not that fresh. But if you go at around 2pm, the food is really good.

The food is great. They have a lunch special menu, in which each item is $8.99. I usually go for the Hoi Nam Chicken with rice or the Lemongrass Pork Chop with rice. They are delicious, and the portion is good. I have a big appetite and I never leave the place hungry.

The decor is nothing to write home about, but I don't care about that.

Definitely worth ordering their lunch specials as they are reasonably priced with a variety to choose from. Owner is pleasant. Definitely worth a visit.:)

Our favourite go to pho place! The owners are absalutly lovely and so kind! Always a warm welcome even though we are only picking up. Always ready in 15 min and always constantly good quality food!

This restaurant is one of the best. You get what your money worth portions are very good, quality of food tastes like home cooked chicken curry and special pho soup -affordable prices.superb customer service.

I had the Malaysian mutton curry - can’t help it, I have it 8/10 times that I eat there. It was delicious as always and the service was great. Didn’t have it this time but their Vietnamese pork spring rolls are amazing too! Must have! The portions are great! Good to have this restaurant just around the corner from me.

Clean establishment but not authentic. That's probably why the food tastes bland. The others are right for the most part.

The good part is that the portions are large. The large here is probably an XL from ward/steeles. They also don't skimp on the noodles so you're stuffed by the time you're done your bowl.worth a shot.

This spot never disappoints. They have great food for affordable rates, there are no long waits even when they are full.

I'm a pregnant. I ordered pho here because I really craved. After got the food and eating a spoonful of soup, I threw it all in the trash. The disgusting smell of meat and too salty soup almost made me vomit. The worst pho I've ever had.

I celebrated my PhD last night in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that it was a astonishing evening and the restaurant was unquestionably the reason for that fruitful event. The team helped in a pleasant manner, the cuisine was delicious and my friends were extremely cheerful. We shall surely return for more celebrations.thanks very much.

The house pho was delicious, generous portions, and great price!

But more to that: The Owner was extremely generous. When I was waiting for my order, there was a man that came in with his cards rejected by the machine and clearly in need. The Owner provided water, was ok with him taking a seat there to get refreshed, and was generous in offering him a free meal.

Fantastic and delightful food, I loved the vibes this spot has, and the workers were friendly. Will definitely visit here next time.

Cheap and tasty! I was here on a Sunday just before the noon hour. It wasn't overly busy, so getting seated was no problem, and ordering was quick. I order my usual Pho, which came quickly and was very tasty. The service was prompt, and the food was good, and was about $10 for a large bowl of Pho. The decor was pretty dated and the vinyl bench seating needed replacement, but other than that, it was very good.

Tasteless soup base, everything’s watered down (sauce, tea, etc). Only pho around the area though. Friendly staff

I mean.it is a lot like growing up under an emotionally distant and highly critical father: not great, but could be worse. Pho was bland, BUT the waiter single-handedly juggled all 8 tables all the while taking phone orders clinched between his shoulder and chin. Props to you big man

The short fat HK boy is a rude one. The beef is fatty (yellow colored fat), the soup is greasy, and the sauces are watered down. How can you mess up a Pho restaurant so bad!? !? They also demand tip like religion when there was no service. Do not eat here and give them any business.they deserve none.

Let's start with their pho. At first glance at their menu, it looks like they're on the more expensive side. However, when you receive your XL pho, it is really XL! It's larger than the average XL at other restaurants, it seems. There is cilantro (aka coriander) in their pho, so be sure to ask them to not include it if you don't like it. The soup base is very fragrant with a strong beef taste. I think they boil the bones extra long to achieve this taste. That said, if you like strong beef taste, then you need to try it. I liked it, but it's not my fave pho soup base in the city. Also, the cuts of brisket they serve need improvement.
