Fantastic Shawarma, grilled like a panini so it comes out hot! Love the garlic sauce they use and the chicken shawarma is nice and juicy without being too dry. Will come back again 100%
I live not too far from here and I pop in often for the Chicken Salad. It is extremely fresh and delicious. The flavours just pop. The prices are so reasonable by todays standards. This place is totally a winner. Do not let the gas station location deter you. Food is absolutely amazing!
Shawarma craving!? Quick, grab and go! Delicious and Lebanese Authentic! Chef is extremely friendly, loves what he does. Definitely recommend stopping by. He will lighten up the mood and fill your craving.
I recently tried some samosas from this place and unfortunately had a terrible experience. I was assured that I was getting the "fresh ones" from the back, but it seems like they were anything but fresh. I ended up spending the entire night vomiting and feeling incredibly sick. The next day, my body was in so much pain that I had to stay in bed all day.
When I called to let the restaurant know what had happened, I was shocked by their response. Instead of apologizing or offering any real solution, the person on the phone simply offered me four free samosas the next time I come in. As if I would ever want to eat there again after what happened.
Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food made me incredibly sick, and their customer service was extremely disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to eat.
Heard great things! Was excited to try as I am shawarma addict. The chicken was so dry and flavorless it was chalky in texture and the lettuce tasted old. Owner was lovely, but sadly can't rate them on personality! So disappointing.
My local neighborhood go to! The food has always been amazing. The staff, so friendly and it's conveniently located just blocks from my home. Win win win. Win. ️
Side note*** their beef samosa's are perfect for a quick on the go snack.or to curve that late night craving. ️
I'd say it's a hidden gem. Really delicious food, the owner is really friendly. This is our go to spot for shawarma dinners and salads. 100% give it a try.
I was working in the area today and decided to check this place out after work. When I saw that it was in a gas station I already knew that the food was going to be bomb! I had the mixed shawarma wrap, it was about $10.16 after tax. The wrap was massive and had tons of meat. The sauces they put on it had the perfect amount of flavor and the hot sauce was really good! The employees are very nice as well. This place is a little hidden gem. Must try! I'll be back for more!
Priced well and taste well as well! Chicken shawarma plate is very flavorful with fatless chicken, rice, garlic sauce, pita and salad. I would recommend this place.
A hidden gem of a Lebanese restaurant. We love Lebanese and this place is authentic. Dishes are fresh and flavorful with just the right balance of spices. The tahini and garlic sauces are the perfect complement. Staff are friendly and helpful
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The food is always delicious and fresh and the service is so pleasant. One of my favorite restaurants and the only place that satisfies my Lebanese food cravings. Just love everything about it!
Pros: Huge portions, like lots of salad lots of rice and chicken.
Cons: kind of bland, chicken seemed marinated jn hot sauce which gave it a tangy/vinegary flavor that I think is a distinct aquired taste, but it wasnt bad exactly just different than other Eastern places.
If your looking for lots of food for a low price than this is an okay go to, I probably won't be returning simply because I wasn't a fan of this particular flavor.
The food here is great and the service is good as well. We tried this out for the first time today and we were impressed. We had the shawarma plate as well as the falafel and would happily order them again. We ordered pickup by calling them direct and got transferred - I assumed from the gas station counter to the kitchen. The food was ready in less than ten minutes. I had to pick it up from the kitchen and take it across to the gas station counter to pay.
This place is litteraly the best place to go to if you want your food made in less than 10 minutes. Me and my family have been going for the past 5 years and quality of the food is just staying the exact same. One of the people who work there khalil, is litteraly one of the nicest person I have ever met. Him and my family are close and we can always count on him to make great food. Some of the things we get are the Shwarama's (because those are amazing), french fries with chicken stripes (very big portions and comes with plum sauce on the side and it is so good), fatoush salad (best salad I have ever eaten) and sometimes the rice, chicken and salad platter which is so good. Again I would recommend this place if you don't have much time to get food and you need something quick. Alos the prices aren't too bad either
You wouldn’t think that a Shawarma place inside a gas station convenience store would be worth writing about, but here I am. I was shocked. Plus he has been there 15 years! The shawarma pita slightly grilled is great. Large Shawarma Salad to go please. The chips he throws in there and his secret sauce pull it all together. Great lunch in the go spot.
Delicious smoky baba ghanouj has me hooked. I also love their cauliflower (which is SO good it doesn't need tomato). I order them with either chicken shawarma or tawook and have enough for 2+ meals
This place is actually a little takeout sandwich shop that is part of Pioneer gas station. They make Shawarma and some other Mediterranean food. The prices are on the cheap side and the food isn't bad. Not the best Shawarma in Hamilton, but not the worst and the price is good. If you stop in here for gas I would recommend trying out their Shawarma while you're here.
Chicken was grey and old tasting. The corner pieces of the chicken were hard like they’ve been sitting there a while. Rice was bland and tasteless. No flavour. White sauce which is the best part, tasted very vinegary instead of creamy and garlicky. Won’t be eating here again. Also it was very dirty inside food everywhere.
Convenient, delicious, and fresh meat. Overall, great lebanese restaurant with a great chef. The gas station is open 24/7, which is a perk. Additionally, the restaurant closes late, which gives you the opportunity after work to grab your self a delicious meal. Try, and I am sure your review will be no different than that of my own.
This place is the best! If I am in the area I will always go here. There chicken shawarma is amazing it tastes so good you want more. Service is always friendly
On a good day, this place is a 5 star but, unfortunately, more than half the time I go, the chicken ends up being pretty dry. Veggies are always fresh and the white sauce is delicious, but a shawarma with dry meat is a sad shawarma.
What is colloquially known in our circles as “Gas Station Shawarma” has become one of my favourite, go to places for a quick sandwich. They have a great deal, three sandwiches for 18.99 and that was more than enough to share. They toast the sandwiches so they are crispy and the chicken has the right flavour and the ingredients are fresh.
I have had their chicken and rice before, and I wasn’t as much a fan. Just didn’t hit the right notes but that wasn’t “shawarma”. However, I got poutine shawarma and that was still really tasty, as well as the falafels. I would personally give this a 4.5 if I could, just because it hasn’t been near perfect.
By far the BEST Middle Eastern take out in the city. The fattoush salad is better than any served in upscale restaurants Hamilton. The food is always fresh.
