Pickering Casino Resort

Bring extra blankets and also an ice bath - I'll start by saying all of the staff I dealt with were friendly; however when I dropping $300 a night for a hotel room at "resort" I expect more attention to detail. Our room fluctuated from 15 to 24.5 degrees in temperature with no ability for us to control it. After many phone calls and 6 visits from maintenance within 8 hours they thought it was resolved. We woke up in the middle of the night to sub 15 degrees and could almost see our breathe in the room. We had to change hotel rooms literally in the middle of the night. Their only compensation was lots of apologies and $100 rebate. I sorry but that's insufficient to alter my perception. Comp me 1 night stay minimum and offer me a discount to come back and show me that your "resort" is worth visiting again. Thanks to Chris in maintnece for trying, but shame on upper management who has made sure I don't return.

The managers of the roulette game are extremely awful. When you are playing, especially the live roulette game, they come and stand behind you and check how much you won or lost, which is not like this in any casino. They even cut the casino power once and restarted the devices. Every time they come, they make a noise with a device or throw a ball out of their hand. If I didn't have to, I wouldn't give even one star.

Great experience, but to nit pick cleaners could do a better job cleaning toilet and floor around it. But honestly with saying that I have zero problems staying here again.

Went for a concert.but power failure wrecked the evening.the place looked very busy for a Thursday night.am looking forward to the rescheduled show

High end establishment. Polite and efficient staff. Safe environment with a pleasant atmosphere for your entertainment enjoyment.

Went there for a concert and visited the Casino which was right there. Didn't need to walk far, everything was indoors so it was great! Loved the way it looks and it's so convenient!

The casino it’s self is alright nothing to crazy. They don’t have a Craps or a poker table. The place is small compared to woodbine casino

We came with a party of 20 people to have a good time. They refused to serve us alchole. They kicked one of the girls out for being too intoxicated (even tho she was cold stone sober). Their logic was ridiculously flaued and prejudice.

All the Cash machines where out of service.

There are 2 cashier stations but 1 only seems to be open and when you go to change money or cash in there always seems to be at least one person that is standing at the window forever and there is nobody else that will open up to take care of the rest of the people waiting. I stood waiting last weekend for 15 minutes along with 4-5 other people because 2 windows had people that were standing there and nothing was happening, finally giving up and walking away. This happens a lot. They need to change this to give better service.

Not a fan at all of this casino. Furnished inside with cold, modern materials. It looks as if it was just slapped into a spare warehouse. Most of the staff were nice but the few dealers on the table games that I encountered were just absurdly bad and should definitely require more training. Played black jack and the dealer tried to take 2 bets in a span of 15 minutes when the dealer actually pushed with the players. I left 30 minutes upon entering.

This place the slots are spose pay out 85% but it's not true bec they have it a different setup take 85% pay out 15% the ontario gambling commer should check out this place they are scaming people

No excitement what so ever, no comps, no incentive to return, sorry I understand times have changed and that's why I gave them 3* and not less, staff is not trained, half don't speak English well, (not their fault) but it does make communication difficult!

Fun casino. Richard in guest services was fantastic. Very friendly. Buffet was good. Nice variety of food. Will be amazing when the entertainment arena and hotel is complete.

The facility is beautiful but still not fully developed, a great addition to Pickering and Durham region!
Restaurants are really expensive so maybe eat before you go.
The Stadium room is really fun. Would be nice if they had some poker in the casino and if the table games had some lower minimum bets, all tables have a minimum of $50/ hand which to me is waaaaay too high!

Need more bill changing machine, most of them not working, have to look for the few, and there out of service, bad casino

The place was great inside. Just alot of walking to actually get to the slots etc Dont care for underground parking, But all on all will definitely be a good place when everything is build and done. Everyone was friendly and having fun

Good buffet (a bit expensive) love the machines and tables but Friday it was sooooo hot in there we didn't stay long. Too uncomfortable. Was cooler outside than in

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon. All ATM machines, ticket validation machines and all ticket readers on the all machine were down. Had to stand in a 15 minute line to redeem my ticket to cash. Not a good first impression. Won't be back.

Huge. Staff was friendly but all seemed stressed. Including the one who outwardly complained about having to have to pick up after customers.

You would be naive to think you'd go to a casino to win, most of us know that. But at least, a casino can once in a blue moon give something to make our evening last longer, after all, we'd only come back and spend that money there again! Things have gone from bad to worse, just like it was at Ajax casino when it was sold.
Having said that, the employees are wonderful people, many times I go to the casino to chat with them. Whether it's the cleaners, servers, security, technicians. People of all kinds of background, people we knew from Ajax & new people we met recently. These good people are the only bright spot in the casino.

Waste of money to build this place. Beware in the parking garage, so badly designed its an accident waiting to happen. Most table games were closed only electronic tables available and about 25% of the slots were out of order. Cash out units were mostly out of order so you have to goto the 1 window open at the cage. Layout is OK and decor is nothing special. Sounded like they had 3 or 4 different music stations playing so just a muddled mess of music. Overall, bleh. I would recommend Niagara or Rama instead of this place any day

For a new Casino Resort it's just simply bad. It's a gambling hall and not even a casino. Nothing to do here but gamble with the regular odds stacked even worse than most casinos. First time here and will be last. Decor is industrial and just plain simple. Not much spent hon this place. My advice.don't come

Was expecting something grander with all the hype.most of it is closed down, not open due to Covid and construction.hopefully will be wowed when completed

Back after lockdown, bit livelier but not a "resort" destination.

My wife and i went to the newly opened buffet at Pickering resort. It was $35 per person. It was just ok.i would not go back. The causal dinning is a better choice. There were not too many options to choose from. I guest it is part of growing pain for a newly open dinning. The food overall is not up to par with the price (Mandarin or 168 sushi prices for week days is $32 and their selections are much) Comparing to casino Rama's buffet.this place fall way short. They should take some notes from Rama's buffet. I gave it 2 stars because of the services.

Loved the free coffee tea and soft drinks, especially cups of soft ice for me to chew on Machines were plentiful and modern. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Pickering deals excitement. I wish I got her name but the dealer we had was just amazing and lots of fun. I will definitely be going back

Great place to go have fun…keep a limit on spending it’s a rabbit hole…you will always end up spending more than gaining…

Casino wasn't too busy but I found the games were all the same.nothing exciting and the food choices in the restaurant weren't too good either

I went to the casual restaurant on Saturday night May 28th to be exact. I had the pea and mint soup and it was very delicious! I also had some dietary restrictions and the kitchen was very responsive and helpful with this request! Such a nice environment, I had a great experience and I will be coming back again!

The pickering casino buffet have just opened about a month ago and the desert selection is great. I would visit again for the fresh cream of broccoli soup and the slow roast beef.
