Wonderful Library, Wonderful resources, Overall great library.
Only problem is the areas, there are 3 zones, each getting more quiet… it’s too bad that the quietest zone (the silent room) has teenagers sitting outside of it yelling laughing, playing music and disrupting…
I am a teen too I understand how it feels to be around your friends but I come here to study to be able to get into university. Just wished the staff would direct them to the proper area.

Trespassing people off public for not breaking the law? Library staff should renew there cards and read The Canadian Charter Of Rights and Freedoms. Blows me away that people still think that we live in 1940 Germany

I love that they have their own arts and crafts section. Lots of computers. Lots of meeting rooms. A gaming area.

Its a shame that library staff doesn't know the constitution, that security guard thinks he is something, stop acting thought, you don't own the library, we don't need to pay those guys salary.

If you're looking for a place to study, don't go here after 2pm. While the second floor is supposed to be the "study" area, its more like an area for kids to hang out and fool around. They are loud, disruptive, disrespectful and inconsiderate of others around them. The staff are nice, but their excuse is, "we encourage the youth to come here. " I understand how important it is for the youth, but in a library? At least ask them to go down to the main floor where they have their "teen" section where the couches are. When people go to the library, they go for the quiet space. People are there trying to read or study for an exam. They have 3 "group" rooms on the main floor where I was suggested to go, but those rooms are only for groups and they are first come, first serve. I'm a Pickering resident and have been my whole life, but I have resorted going to a different library. The Pickering library needs a soundproof room for people who are dedicated to studying. If you're looking for a quieter space, go to the Ajax library.

Apparently the library thinks their policy Is law and that they can remove you and trespass you and put hands on you for filming in a public building. This library opened themselves up for a civil lawsuit and I hope they learn we have rights in this country
