Kimchi stew is not like before.
Kimchi stew has less meat and tastes worse than before.
I hope it maintains consistent taste.
This is my third visit. ㅠㅠ I’m thinking about going again.

After a long renovation, Piggy Island is back and running!

The space is very beautiful, although I must say that I wish the tables were a bit bigger because my family and I were a little squished. We ordered a lot of food for the grill and for the side dishes - as such, we had to eat fast at times to make space for more dishes to come. I was very happy with the service because the servers were attentive, and were constantly coming by to replace our grills.

I highly recommend this place for Korean BBQ! If you like Soju, order the Hallasan in Mandarin flavour, it will go well with any food you order.

Speaking of food, the menu at Piggy's Island is a veritable smorgasbord of deliciousness. The pork belly is so tender, it practically melts in your mouth like a K-pop idol's heart when they see their crush. The beef rib steak is so flavorful, it'll make you want to do the "Gangnam Style" dance right there in your seat.

This is the first visit for us after the renovation. We were used to visit Miss Piggy. The AAA grade short rib is excellent quality. We are surprised that they had upgraded with the hybrid gas/charcoal grill. This grill with charcoal can vastly enhance the favour of the meat. The side dishes are also in very good quality. We will visit more times in the future!

Came back after dining at Piggy’s before the fire. Vibes are not the same, restaurant has a weird layout and vibe (is it a bar, a restaurant?).

Prices have gone up while quantities don’t seem to match prior. Banchan seemed limited, and less selection than the old restaurant. What was once a great Korean spot seems to have lost its allure. With its location, there are far more better choices around. Disappointed as I was waiting for the reopen of this restaurant for a while now.

I've waited many years for Piggy's to reopen their doors and I'm not disappointed. They have an entirely new look that caters to an island theme. Very picturesque. The food quality is amazing! In this economy too? Wow. My expectations have been exceeded.

Generous portions and quality of the meat is better than other kbbq chains in GTA.
Servers took a good care of us by constantly changing the grill.

Usually in other kbbq I have to ask the server to change the grill.

I came here with my co-workers for a small holiday dinner. The atmosphere was fun and it was significantly cleaner compared to other KBBQ restaurant in the area. We ordered beef tartar (soy), pork belly, pork collar and pork ribs. The first thing I check are side dishes when I go to any Korean restaurant and I must say it was very good. Nothing seemed old or too salty. The quality of the meat was very good. If you know your meat, you can tell they are picky with their meat choices. I highly recommend beef tartar because it's nothing like other places. They added a thinly fried potato that creates many textures as you eat it. Cold noodles at the end are the perfect finale. I must say you do pay a bit more than other places but for the cleanliness and the quality, I'd choose this place over others.

I don't know if it was because I went for a late lunch when it wasn't busy, but the service was top notch! I ordered kimchi stew, tteokgalbi and soybean paste stew. The price was good and I enjoyed all three very deliciously. The side dishes were nothing special, but overall I was satisfied.

Great service and great food! It was amazing experience and I would 100% recommend to anyone craving for Korean BBQ!

Came here at 5: 45 pm on a Friday and no line up yet.first time coming here after going to Daldongnae every Friday for the past 2 years but I noticed Daldongnaes quality has been going down hill and the service there is garbage.

I decided to come here and IT ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The 14 day wet aged pork collar was to die for. The ingredients here you can tell is a lot higher quality than Daldongnae. The quality here is 1000% better and I love how they have the charcoal grill and the charcoal they use is from Korea. I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH I am coming back every week for sure. It is so delicious.

The prices are basically the same at Daldongnae but the service you get here is MUCH better and the quality of food is so much better.

Piggy's is by far our most favourite korean restaurant in Toronto. We arrived 20 minutes before their opening time and we were allowed in to escape from the snowy weather. Food was excellent as usual. Service was great. Staff were awesome. We made reservation for Christmas Day rightaway. This is definitely the place I take my family to on special occassions.

Great service. Pork belly was really good, beef was ok. Kimchi fried rice was lacking flavour. Sides were great. Glad they reopened
