Pino's Get Fresh

We bought 2 pizzas new year's eve. 1 was burnt and hard. The other one the cheese was burnt on top. It was the worst pizza I ever had. Very disappointed.

The absolute best place to get meat and pastries. Very well laid out store and the friendliest of staff.

The best meats in town and NO rotten fruit and veggie ALWAYS fresh. Clean store, great staff and the bakery is WOW good forgot the fresh donuts!

Massively overpriced, I get it local owner but double price for almost everything is too far

I feel conflict leaving this review but Pino's needs to fix this fast. Bought $200 + worth of fresh meat; Striploins on sale, back ribs on sale and sausages to take home. Bought one of their large ice blocks and put them all into a large igloo cooler. Once I got home 5 hrs later with the AC on. All fresh meat went into the freezer except one package of striploins. I BBQ'd the Striploins the next night and they were starting to go bad, smelly. That was August 26th, that package was packed the night before. I just defrosted the Back Ribs and they are also on the verge of going bad, getting smelly. I've been in the meat business for 30 yrs so I know the difference. Sad because I like the people and the atmosphere there.

Driving through on our way to Ottawa. Picked up a few things for the road. Great choices. Hot ready made food. Fresh salads and veggies. Friendly service. Also a Starbucks in the store.

Great Chicken. Way better than you know who! Always stop in on way to camp. Even have powdered GatorAid! Nice store.

Always stop here when visiting the Soo. Eat in for pizza and sausages and then get hot sausages for later.

Alright for bakery, but they order that in, except the buns, breads i guess but even that's lacking yeast or something, The aroma is alright though. The meat dept.needs a real butcher, everything I've tried is cut wrong, tough, Pizza your better off making it at home. This place is costly, but great for wide range of veggie's, some fruit that's not too bad. Cashiers are nice though!

I was nearly in the ER of covid because they do not make their employees or their customers wear masks or sanitize. We all have a right to our opinions but nobody deserves to die. Shame on you, Pinos. It is your job to follow the guidelines and regulations put in place. Immune compromised people's lives matter.

Can always find great prices on meat, fresh produce and an excellent staff to point you in the right direction and take care of you!

Recently tried the cream puff and wow is it ever exceedingly sweet! Do they taste test their own baked goods to see if they've added too much sugar? If you’re looking for real cream, you’ll also be disappointed because it is edible oil. I was really disappointed; I had high hopes for Pino’s.

When I go into Pino's, it's because I need something specific which the store has. Pino's store made sausages can't be beat, as well as some of the other meat department offerings. The store is relatively new, spacious, with many grocery store amenities present day consumers have come to expect from a grocery store. Starbucks, pizza oven, hot meal ideas, store made donuts, and beer and wine sections.
I do not typically discuss downsides, but one I must mention regarding Pino's, is the general overall price of the groceries. I found, when compared to other major stores in the Soo (Metro, Food Basics), every day staples cost more. From fresh produce, to cereals to dairy, Pino's is expensive. Especially now as grocery costs have skyrocketed due to COVID (another entirely different disappointing discussion), people are watching how money is spent.
Pino's does have quality, I will give the store that, but at what cost?
The staff I dealt with were pleasant, and accommodating, the store is stocked well with lots of variety. It's a nice atmosphere, modern. Pino's is worth the look for those one offs, but for everyday shopping, check those prices.

Love this store especially for my meat purchases. Lots of fresh goodies and a great selection. Can often get quite a deal as well. A little disappointed how congested the front door gets with the hot food counter and deli both right in front. Any customers making purchases at both counters will cause it to get very crowded some days.

Read all the great reviews online and figured mid as well try it out! You get what you pay for. Pretty Sad pizza taste as good as the cardboard box it came in just go to Little Caesar's!

Ordered a pizza yesterday and paid for four toppings: extra cheese, bacon, jalapenos and onions. My pizza was 3/4 onion above and below the cheese, I think I saw four pieces of bacon on it and way too many jalapenos. Yes i ordered a pizza with these things but I was hoping I'd get more than a crumb of the bacon man. Put some effort in.

Former employee here: Mr. Pino used to take expired packaged deli meat and give it to us to ‘sell’ with the new cuts after removing the green parts. If you ever see a ‘sale’ in the deli – don’t buy it. It’s likely expired. As for any store vacuum packed cheese, we would simply remove the stickers once it had reached the expiry date and put a new label on it. If we found mold, we were instructed to cut it off and re-vacuum pack it. One time he showed up with an expired box of chicken from the meat room, told us to bread it and serve it in the hot case. It smelled so bad I nearly gagged and threw it out once he had left because it was going to make someone sick. Mr. Pino also used to walk by and throw out any of our coffee drinks (not reimbursing us) that weren’t purchased at the in-store Starbucks, because according to him “we are a Starbucks store! ”

The owner is a piece of trash who sells rotten food because he's too stingy to throw it out when he can make a sale off of it. Also, he employs basically none of his employees as full-time, because why shell out for benefits, am I right? Oh, and remember when he engaged in price-gouging with toilet paper at the beginning of the pandemic? I'm not willing to support local if it means lining someone as vile as Pino's pockets with more money he doesn't deserve.

There's only two places to get sausage in Sault Ste. Marie. They are both Italian and they both start with a P, paesan. Not only does Pino's carry great quality meats but they have a wonderful hot foods section for when we want a quick pizza, chicken and potatoes. They also have some of the best baking in town at the bakery. On top of all that the place always looks clean and the employees always look happy to be there for the most part.

They have a lot of good quality food like other stores in the area especially there meats and sausage and bakery, my only complaint is there way to expensive especially when your a family of four or more like I am

Love pinos funny i always go there and Ben always helps me like today with strawberries 2 for $5 thought they sold out he showed me where they had more.

I drive across town specifically to get their chicken and wedges. I know the sausage is famous, but like the fried chicken even more.

Pino's is a very excellent place to buy groceries. They offer a wide selection of products, including deli food, fresh meats and fish, local wine and beer, fresh pizza, as well as many more. At the Deli, they offer hot meals and salads as well as fresh lunch meats. The store offers freshly made meats and fish. The Pizzeria offers very great quality pizzas, when they're made properly. All in all Pino's is a very great place to buy groceries and other food related products and I would recommend anyone to shop here.

Best fresh meat and produce in sault ste marie prices might be high here bit its worth the quality also have hot ready foods and starbucks when you walk in also sells alcohol best sausges in town!

Excellent customer service they are friendly and helpful from Management to staff and their meat is well taken care of their store made sausage and pork-chops stuffed with sausage are great

Very clean facility. Appealing visuals. Market reminiscent. Friendly staff great selection. Need meat for the BBQ? This is the place to shop!

Great grocery store. Hours are awesome. Staff is friendly! The owner is amazing doesn't announce the store is closing so customers don't have to rush if they are still shopping then so be it but makes me feel sad for the employees that probably just wanna go home at the end of their shift. Mr Pino is a kind hearted man.

Best grocery store in Soo! This was the only grocery store that treated my husband and I like human beings during the corona outbreak, meanwhile other stores like loblaws and bulk barn treated us like plague ridden rats. Pinos has very friendly staff and good pizza! Also a great beer section

The baked goods, fresh prepared food items are excellent. The grocery store is laid out well and easy to navigate. I enjoy shopping there because of the way it is laid out and kept clean.

Their radio plays the short cut edit of meat loaf's - anything for love.absolutely unacceptable.id do anything for groceries, but i wont go to pinos.

Amazing fresh cooked chicken and potatoes dinner deals, good pizza. Their meats are the best, sausages especially. They sell alcohol too. Clean store.

This is what we received today, around 4: 30 pick up. This is 7 pieces of chicken from their take out. I don't even want to give it any stars because it was totally disappointing. We ordered the 9 piece but 2 (also small) were taken out to be eaten. The thigh was not much bigger than an oreo cookie.

Same as usual good service and reasonable prices but with the boarder closed they may have delays in getting some products from the us

The very best meats at this grocery store! The produce section is amazing.everything looks like it is fresh out of the garden. Some items a little on the pricey side, but is offset by the high quality of meats and produce!

I love this store. Pino's has the best meat in town by far. They also have amazing donuts and great pizza. The store is always clean and the staff always friendly.

Incredible in house sausage. Always get same cashier, she's pretty incredible actually! People that shop their are super friendly. The place seems to make people genuinely happy. Even if you dont need to buy anything, you'll be in a better mood after you walk out of there.

A little pricey on some items but ya can't beat the taters in the deli. Best I've ever had. The chicken's pretty damn good as well

Sault Ste. Marie's best one stop shop for groceries, hot food, Starbucks, and hangouts in the foyer. Our only complaint is that the groceries tend to be more expensive than other places, but the atmosphere probably requires that.

Amazing staff, especially in the meat and floral department. The last place we stop en route to our camp on Lake Superior. Produce is incredibly fresh and creatively displayed. Their prepared food section is also impressive and delicious.

Good selection including ready-to-eat food and locally famous store brand sausages.

Service level not fantastic however.

We stopped to get groceries on way to cottage. My son suggested we shop there. Awesome store! Excellent meat and pastries. Nicest grocery store I've ever been in. If we weren't travelling stateside I would have went back to buy more sausages kielbasa and home made burgers to bring home.

Very nice place to shop for certain items. Other items can be a little more expensive. So just know your prices. Meat there is awesome.

I usually enjoy my shopping experience at Pinos tonight I was disappointed in the signage that indicated Canadian produce and in one case Ontario. But the individual produce had Texas labels. I expect better of Pinos
