Horrible experience, very disappointed, the food wasn't good, very overrated place and watery pizza, the waitress with the short brown hair was rude, we just finished and literally after 2 min she came with the bill although we didn't ask for! Totally waste of money

Delicious Italian pizza fresh salads and very friendly service. Unfortunately the facility is no longer maintained. Many light bulbs are broken and the highlight, the red ceiling lights, have partially failed and were not cleaned. That's too bad. The dessert appeared to be a ready-made mix. If you like fresh pizza, this is the place for you.

We went for dinner around 5: 00 before the jays game. The restaurant atmosphere was very welcoming, it was fairly empty except for a few tables. The staff were super nice but a little slow.

The calamari and arancini were served cold, in cold sauce. The taste was decent but felt like it was sitting out for too long.

The pizza itself was ok. Not what I would expect from a pizzeria that’s for sure. The top was a little greasy and the dough wasn’t fully cooked through. We had the diavolo pizza which wasn’t too spicy, the hot oil was a nice touch on the table. They have homemade dips available, they were very good actually.

For dessert my wife got the “Gran Biscotto di Nutella”. First off, what Nutella? There wasn’t any in there, it was just a plain old chocolate chip cookie, and most definitely wasn’t “Gran” nor 1/4 pound as the menu says. We assumed it would be served hot since it should be stuffed with Nutella. But it wasn’t. It was served cold. The gelato was ok (thought it would’ve been nice to have a scoop of ice cream on a warm cookie). Best part of the meal for me at least was the Tiramisu. It was a large portion, and actually tasted really good.

Overall, not what I would’ve expected from a pizzeria, most definitely a disappointment. Also not worth spending $160, rather of gotten pizzaiolo.

Great pizza that was reasonably priced. Atmosphere is nice and cool with the perfect amount of volume. I recommend this place and will be going back.

Incredible gluten free crust! Caution! The menu clearly marks cross contamination WILL happen, so eat at your own risk. The dough is cooked in the same wood fired oven but the result is delicious!

I ordered the duck confit pizza 10/10 recommend! I appreciate their effort to making something gluten free and delicious. The nature of the wood fire oven does not make it 100% gluten free, but for some it will be a great option!

There was a lot of seating, so many pizza options, and fun drinks. The service was so friendly and helpful.

Got the Buffalo mozzarella pizza, arugula salad, and tirasmisu to takeaway. The food was nice but overpriced, especially the salad. It was more like a small side salad than an actual main. It was crazy small, and it felt like a total rip-off. Tiramisu was tasty, but I would prefer to pay a small bit more and get a full cake. No cutlery/napkins provided (presumed they'd be inside. Luckily, we had some at the hotel). They didn't seem to happy we asked for a glass of water while we waited for the order.

I ordered a pizza delivery from the restaurant. The delivery never came and the staff was not able to account for the missing delivery.

Good size pizza, not too expensive, great service and very considerate with all my food allergies.

Delicious Neapolitan pizzas with that wood fired flavour. One of my favourite pizza places in Toronto. They've recently added deep dish pizza which is also very good. I do miss the big dish/loafs of bread they used to sell.

The best GF DF pizza I've had. I ordered the vegetariana pizza. The chef spent a year perfecting the GF crust and now it's famous world wide. The DF cheese is also made in house. As soon as you taste it you'll understand why it's famous. The crust has a perfect neopolitan style dough chewiness to it and the flavour is delightful. The cheese is creamy and melts. You'd never know it's GF DF. The sauce is also very flavourful. I'm so impressed. Pi Co gluten free is great but I think Libretto ranks #1. The chili oil dipping space really helps tie the flavours together as well. What a delicious treat. It's nice to know that a restaurant has perfected allergen free pizza. Thank you chef Rocco!

Really great atmosphere it was nice to see all the Covid precautions that barely slowed us down. The pizza was delicious!

Got the marinara which was pretty good! The staff recommended getting 1 pizza per person, which felt like the right portion while still leaving room for some dessert.

Good service and good food for sure, but a bit pricey to my liking. I guess it’s right in downtown finance district so price reflects that.

Pizza was ah-mazing. Perfect pepperoni pizza. Perfect char on the crust. The sauce was delicious. Vegan cheese looked authentic and tasted great.

Amazing service and amazing food. The server and amanager were amazing at maintaining COVID-19 safety and a good atmosphere. They knew the menu well and knew great options to recommend. The place has great thin crust pizza and New York style pizza. I can't recommend this place enough.

Really enjoy the food and environment here - before pandemic, I used to come here often for lunch with colleagues as my office is close by. This time around I come with family for dinner, food is great as I remember - pizzas are delicious - thin and tasty, cooked just right, particularly love the fungi pizza, must try! Also recommend calamari as appetizer. Staff are all nice and friendly, especially our server MJ who’s very attentive and sweet! Will definitely come back again.

Fantastic place. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great tasting pizza (the fungi white pizza is excellent), great drinks (I recommend the Rose Rosse per te - a bit like a less-strong negroni). Desserts were excellent.

Definitely one of my go-to places when back in Toronto!

Very chill atmosphere with the ability to accommodate small or big groups. Awesome to see such friendly service and the ability sit outside even in the fall. I had the 16 inch pizza, as well as the focaccia and the calamari to start. Delicious and fresh! Highly recommend if you are craving some yummy pizza

Amazing pizza! Love this place. Visited today with my family and had a lovely meal. I had the Nduja pizza. It was absolutely perfect. The crust, sauce and toppings were amazing. My wife is gluten free and had their GF crust and it was also really impressive. Will definitely visit again. BTW: their beers were very nice too!

I can sense the pandemic has negatively affected the restaurant industry, especially service and food quality. Normally we having positive experiences at Libretto but this time it was not consistent. We brought out of town guests raving about the food but this time impressions fell short of expectations. Starting with positives, check in was smooth and the host was accommodating when we requested outdoor seating. The negatives: Beer came 10 mins before our wine arrived. You cant cheers alone! Beer was delivered with a warm glass. Isnt a cold glass standard? Calamari was dry and inedible - perhaps not fresh. Two of our pizzas were soggy and undercooked. Maybe a bad day? We’re going to stick with the Ossington location.

I come here often, a friend of mine really loves it because of the proximity to Union Station for commuters. The food is great. I really enjoy the arancini, meatballs, calamari, pizza, and tiramisu. Didn’t love the cookie. Prices are reasonable for downtown Toronto.

This is one of the best pizzas i’ve had in my life (also tried the arancini & tiramisu and both were very good)

We had the Funghi and 'nduja pizza and they were honestly the best pizza we ever had. The sauce on the 'nduja was so delicious! Would highly recommend!

Wonderful experience! Great staff that follow Covid Procedures and the pizza is absolutely incredible, very tasty and gourmet! Definitely plan to go back! Great for a date night with a S. O.or friends!

I must say it’s outstanding. It’s the best compared to any pizza in Montréal that’s for sure. I grew up making pizza in NY and NYC. It’s really difficult to find a good place. The Neapolitan isn’t as delicate you can find in Napoli but it’s pretty darn close. The service is fantastic. Very friendly staff.

All the staff and waiters were so friendly, amazing, and welcoming, and the pizza tasted amazing and fresh (obviously went for the margherita).

Fresh, tasty, fast service, favourite pizza place.only downside is they seem to have changed the menu and ingredients/ how the dishes are made compared to pre pandemic. Not sure if it’s just this location or all of them

This is an amazing restaurant.
The inside felt fresh and new with interesting plant-themed decor.
My meal was impeccable. The pizza is amazing and crisp without being too thin. They use the best ingredients. I also had the calamari, which was perfectly crisp and had a good texture.

The service was great, arancini and Pizza is awesome. Tiramisu was amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

2021 Edit: Picked up COVID pizza and was just as good as the original. I was late and hostess had a second pizza made because she would rather remake then send a customer home with a colder pizza. Very appreciated.

Some of the best pizza I've had. The dough stood out to me as the crust of the pizza was even enjoyable to eat. A little expensive but worth an occasional visit.

We arrived at around 12: 40 pm and this place was bustling with lots of people. We had to wait about 30 minutes before we got seated for 8 people. When the waiter came to pour our water, two of our cups had chilli flakes in them. She promptly removed the cups and gave us new ones. After we placed our orders, it came out fairly quickly. I ordered the mushroom pizza, it was quite delicious although the crust was fairly chewy. Overall it was delicious!

One of the best pizzas in the city! The menu is simple but delicious. Even the Margarita is incredible, Libretto definitely knows what’s up. The only reason I took off one star was because our wine came after we were finished our appetizer. However they were very busy and that’s the how it is in this industry sometimes. All in all, awesome dinner and we’ll be back!

So first off, the pizza is amazing. We had tried 4 different pizzas (and one duplicate), and all of them had a wonderful meddley of flavor, with a perfectly toasted crust. The calamari was amazing, although of arancini was a bit underwhelming.

The interior had a.great modern feel to it, with enough space that any group is well spaced from the next group.

Highly recommended!

First time trying Neapolitan-style pizza, it was interesting and tastes pretty good. I can definitely see the quality put into the pizza. It has a unique sauce and cheese combination and the sausage with it was a perfect combo. The only concern I had was with the waitress, it seemed like she did not know anything about the pizzas when we asked her which one she recommended and she just pointed out the most expensive ones.

Attended here yesterday with a large group of colleagues to celebrate the holiday season and as I've never been to Pizzeria Libretto, I was honestly blown away by their customer service. From the moment I arrived to the moment I sat with my group, the hostess, manager and particularly our server, Derek were personable, friendly, and conscientious throughout. Derek was patient especially as new arrivals came in sporadically and great about explaining the prix fixe menu. He was also incredibly considerate in supplying me with hot water to help with my progressive laryngitis (my fault though - I can't help that I like talking, lol!) The restaurant gives you this fabulous, I believe home made bread to start, with olive oil and chillis for additional flavour. The pizzas all looked great but I got the featured pizza which I believe was the Nduja Sausage which was delicious and for dessert, the Black Forest Budina which is similar to the idea of Black Forest pudding. The Budina was smooth and sweet though not overly. Definitely whetted my chocolate quotient for the day, lol! I would most definitely, absolutely come back here and highly recommend it to others to try. Bon appetit!

A colleague of mine went in person yesterday Dec 17th to make a lunch reservation to celebrate my birthday and apparently your systems were down so the person took the reservation name and told my colleague she will mark down the reservation for lunch today Dec 18th at 12.30.
So we show up on time for our reservation at 12.30 and the person at the front tells us there is no such reservation and does not even bother to find out who my colleague spoke to make the reservation. All she said was she was off yesterday and cannot help us. That was very unprofessional and not to mention rude. This was my first time at this restaurant and to celebrate my birthday and was looking forward to my first dining experience at Libretto 155 Univetsity. I left with a very bad first impression. I will most likely never visit this restaurant again. You need to hire people who know how to be courteous to customers and not brush them off.

Unless your craving for an authentic margarita and are not super hungry I would go elsewhere. Fine pizza and quality ingredients. Lacks topping choices for the pizzas. The decor is cold.

I visited 3 times. Italian friend recommend me here. I also definitely recommend if you want to eat delicious pizza in down town. They have various kind of pizza and it’s really yummy. In addition, the service was great whenever I went there.

Went to Pizzeria Libretto during weekdaylunch time. First things for sure, make a reservation, because they were packed the entire lunch time. Luckily, we made reservations. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and told us about the menu and how it works.

Their lunch menu is awesome. For $16, you get 3 courses. But I must say, for dessert, do not get biscotti. Get bundi instead. Biscotti were just awful. They should definitely take it off the menu unless they want to serve it with cappuccino.

The environment was lit. Lots of professionals hovering over the food. Pizza itself was awesome. Did taste quite authentic, but take it with a grain of salt cuz I actually have never had a pizza in Italy. So can't say for sure if they nailed the authencity.

I'll definitely go back. Best place to go with your coworkers or with your friends working in downtown.

While the food here is good, I'm afraid I need to give them 1 star because of the terrible service my friends and I received when we were here for dinner a few weeks ago.

The waitstaff mixed up my pizza (a vegan cheese mushroom pizza) with my friend's pizza (a vegan cheese, gluten free crust, mushroom pizza). The crust of the gluten free pizza was a lighter colour than the others, so we thought something might be off. We checked with THREE waitstaff, who all said that the orders were correct. Our waiter was quite condescending and even told us that "it's impossible" for the pizzas to get switched. It was only after we ate half of our pizzas and my gluten-intolerant friend was dizzy and throwing up in the washroom, that a Manager was brought to us. At no point did any waitstaff apologize for the mix up.

The Manager looked at our pizzas and promptly said that mine was the gluten free one and my friend's pizza was the regular one - the opposite of what the three staff previously said. While we appreciated the Manager's apology and the food charges being removed from our bills, the regular pizza caused my gluten intolerant friend to be in the bathroom all night.: (

The lack of training in the wait staff with regards to recognizing / respecting the dietary restrictions of their customers and being familiar with their foods unfortunately ruined our evening. With that in mind, I can NOT recommend this Pizzeria Libretto location, especially if you're gluten intolerant.

I frequent this place a lot. Great spot, great ambiance, super informative people, great service. Even on a busy night we only had to wait around 10 mins for a table for two at the University Ave location. Highly recommend their bread and chili oil. Also their Pizza Rosa - Nduja Sausage is my absolute favorite.

While not a 3 star Michelin, we were pretty happy with our experience. The duck confit pizza was some of the best slices we have ever had. The apps were creative and delicious, especially the beet salad! Our waitress katrina, like the hurricane, knew everything about the menu, down to the suppliers of their cheese. Definitely recommend.

We were sitting outside and had an amazing view over the financial district. I had a pizza margarita with extra mozzarella. It was so delicious! The staff is very friendly.

My friend's and I ordered a Pasta, a Pizza and Tiramisu for dessert.
The pasta was delicious, fresh and the sauce was made very well.
The dough of the pizza as well was extremely fresh and soft and all of the ingredients used were up to quality standards as after eating it fulfilled my appetite and did not give me a feeling of being overfull.
I would definitely visit again soon.

Good selection of pizzas as expected. Good very soft premeal bread. Found the chili oil to be bit on the mild side. Prix fixe menu was simple but satisfying. Good quality food with great service.

Flavours were good but the crust was soggy which made it difficult to eat. If the crust was better this would be a 5 star review as the service was excellent and the drinks were tasty.

We wanted pizza for dinner and somewhere nearby. Pizzeria Libretto was close and came recommended. Fantastic meal. We were seized with indecision by the menu, but opted for beet salad (first class), diavola pizza (tasty) and prosciutto di parma.pizza (a real hit). The thin crust on the pizza made for a perfect balance between base and toppings. Service was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. An inducement to come back the next time we are in Toronto. Can't wait.

Good service, nice patio, active scene and food was good, delivered quickly - great for a business lunch. Just remember to get there before noon in the summer on a sunny day!

Get the Rocco's Salad - it is amazing, please don't ever take it off your menu! Lunch specials are also so good. Pizza is great, lots of options and they've accommodated me tweaking toppings. And it's consistent across the city, all locations!
