Flashback to diners of the past! PJ’s has old decor, is small and reminds me of the great diners we’d go to during road trips when I was young! Food was amazing, prices are good, the staff was very friendly! Great place for a good traditional breakfast!

We tried PJs for the first time two weeks ago and have since been back twice.
It was a blast to walk in and see an old diner-style counter and spin stools, bringing back nostalgic memories. Despite being a small spot, it gets quite busy. The restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch and closes at 2 pm.
Depending on your order, the plates usually come with generous portions. The staff appeared attentive and pleasant to interact with. The bathrooms are located at the back of the restaurant, down a flight of stairs.
Personally, my favorite dish here is the French toast.
Our only concern was that the bacon was extremely crispy. My son brought it up to the waitress, but she dismissed it, suggesting it might have been a bad batch.
Here are a few additional details:
- soda are not refillable.
- They don't offer V8 or any tomato juice.
- The pie is not homemade, but definitely worth trying.
- It gets quite busy during lunchtime, but it's worth a visit!
Overall, our experience at PJs is that it's a piece of Durham's history. The food is usually good, the staff is friendly, and it's a great place to reconnect with old friends.

10/10 - it's delicious, prices were a steal for the quality and amount of food, and the service was amazing.
Jen was super friendly and quick with a fresh pot of coffee, and the meals. Stop here if you have an hour in the morning, it's well worth it!

Great breakfast at this Whitby location! The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The restaurant was very clean and the service excellent. Highly recommended!

Went into this place for breakfast for the first timeand am quite happy I did! I ordered the lumberjack special (peameal bacon, regular bacon, sausage, eggs and french toast) everything was perfectly cooked and the service was excellent my only issue is the orange juice tasted. Indescribably strange lol but overall would definitely recommend

Come here with my boyfriend every now and then.i always enjoy my food and am met with outstanding service.potato's are nicely seasoned and their eggs benny is delicious

Best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had at any breakfast restaurant. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and a great little diner feel. Every time I’ve been to PJ’s it’s been so delicious and I love their home fries the way they make them and sometimes I get well done for their crispier version. Definitely recommend trying them out if you haven’t already. Hurry what are you waiting for:)
