Very clean and well maintained gym. Broken equipment is fixed within a reasonable time. Staff are diligent in filling spray bottles and paper towels, and putting away equipment. Machines are updated and the layout is tweaked periodically to improve the flow and experience. Gymgoers are typically friendly, nonjudgmental and accommodating.

When I come in I am greeted by a friendly smile and a warm hello from the staff. They make each visit special and they are lovely to deal with which makes me want to keep coming back. The gym has great equipment and it is affordable but the people who are there to greet me is really what makes me want to come back and recommend it to some of my friends who now go there as well.

Overall this is a great gym. The facilities are very clean. There is a large selection of equipment. The staff is very friendly and always there to help. I am a black card member and bring a friend once in a while, the tanning beds and total body booth are always clean. The trainer there is Very knowledgeable and helped me after a long hiatus from the gym. The classes are actually very good and if you want to sweat and not have to plan a workout, Its a great option that I have taken advantage of. Overall this is a great location. I am hoping that they will be adding more of the popular pieces of equipment in the near future.they did however upgrade all the equipment which is amazing.

I canceled my membership and still got annual charge and they told me I wont get charged and still I ended up get charged $44. Poor service.

Been going here for 5 years on and off seen a great deal of improvements in The Last 5 Years being the last 3 years have been great there. Clean especially for the size of the location a lot of ellipticals and treadmills available all the time and for the price your paying you do get a great selection of equipment to get you started on your path to getting into the shape you want to be. Management it's a bunch of great people the employees are very knowledgeable and work hard. Great deal for the location and price and the informed crew.

I hate that there are only 4 bars and you always have to wait 15-30 minutes to use one. Second there are no full length mirrors in the change room making it really hard to take progress pictures. They really need to put on im the change every major gym I been to GoodLife, lifetime, movdi all have singular dressing rooms and full length mirrors in all of them please do better! Planet fitness

Decent place. A lot of single equipment that is adjustable weight especially cable fly for chest so you have to wait a while for your turn.

Smaller gym compared to other locations

I've been working out at this gym for a few years, and things have been good. Lately, I had some concerns about the condition of the gym, including garbage cans and cleaning stations, but the management seem to have addressed this concern in a very timely manner, so I'm a happy Planet Fitness member now.

As a fitness enthusiast I didn't liked it because they don't have some of the essentials of a gym, no free squat, no barbell bench press, also gets crowded and it's impossible to have a good workout when it's like that, only good thing is that is 24/hrs

Although this location can be quite crowded and busy most days of the week, it's incredibly chill here. They have a crowd meter that you can look up on their site or on the app, as well, which is really nice. They have touchless check-in so you open your QR code on your phone through the app and scan it upon entering the establishment. You can just work out and do your own thing and not talk to anyone.

They have day lockers, small ones outside of the locker rooms, and some inside the locker rooms that are larger. I've only been to this location a handful of times, but it's been a pleasure so far. I actually asked a worker for help with a machine my last visit, and they were super professional and patient with me (this is a milestone since I have severe social anxiety). The workers seem really approachable which is nice, especially for a gym newbie like me.

I wish they had more locations around so this one wouldn't be as busy, but it is what it is. Hoping more locations pop about so I have variety (I have the black card). 10/10 would definitely recommend. Just keep an eye out on the crowd meter if you don't want to workout side by side people. Masks are optional, and most people don't wear one (just a heads up). I wear one for the most part except when doing cardio, it's a bit difficult to wear during that time.

The staff was really friendly, it was clean.
They had a good amount of cardio machine which I like.

First time there and it's okay but seems cramped with all the equipment right next to each other as their obviously trying to use every but of space to fit in as much equipment as possible to please their members.

Locker and washrooms space is congested compare to other planet fitness locations I visited. Could be more cleaner in washrooms and locker floors

Considering the price you really can't go wrong. It is a Planet Fitness so that being said you know what to expect. The staff will take care of you here if any problems arise. As far as the equipment, due to the new construction it's somewhat limited relative to the way it was before but nevertheless still a great place to work out if you're in the area. Recommended.

I’m going to add to the numerous complaints about attitude and rude staff. It’s very uncomfortable to ask questions or ask for help.

I've been trying to cancel my membership for years because I don't live in Toronto. They require you to go to the exact gym in person even if you've moved and during a pandemic. They've collected well over a thousand dollars from me in what seems like an incredibly nefarious and deeply unethical policy. They should be investigated for fraud.

This is a great gym for the price of membership and especially if you upgrade to the Black Card and want to make use of bringing a friend to train with you or their massage beds and tanning booths. My only complaint is sometimes there are groups of teenagers/young adults, I see clearly not wiping their equipment after use which just shows so much disrespect. It’s hard enough for the staff as it is these days, they shouldn’t have to deal with it. Perhaps a stronger introduction/orientation when people sign up for memberships or a friendly reminder when you sign in to please remember to wipe things down?

Twice I tried to cancel my subscription to Planet Fitness by mail during the pandemic. Why by mail? Because you can't cancel by phone or email, and the gym was closed so I couldn't in person. Imagine my irritation when I found out they were still billing me despite twice cancelling by mail.

This is a scam, and they try to make leaving as difficult as possible. They were incredibly unprofessional when I tried to get the cancellation done by phone, and did not make any attempt to come to a reasonable compromise.

They wasted my time, and they wasted my money.

Avoid them at all cost. Go to a more reputable gym.

Don't understand why a non judgemental gym wants people to show proof of vaccine I just canceled my membership because of such discrimination.

Its ok that have good machines to work out, but because you pay 15 dollar a month you get the worse customer service? Horrible.they need training how to work with people specially in covid times.

Initially, I enjoyed the gym and the staff at this location. During the pandemic, I cancelled my gym membership. I corresponded with somebody over email and received a confirmation of my cancellation back in January.

I got my account charged this month. I reached out to the store to figure out what is happening with my account and the staff member told me to come in and speak to the manager. I tried to reach out online, but they told me to contact my home store.

This is extremely unprofessional business tactic. Considering that the pandemic is still ongoing and that I've moved residences twice since I cancelled the account, this is terribly inconvenient. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism and abusive business tactic in the other gyms I've enrolled in.

Not great customer service! The guy peter wasn’t responding to our questions. He was having a bad attitude towards us.

Worst customer service over the phone and also at the gym. The staff named Peter at the gym was not responding to my questions and I felt very much offended!

The staffs are so rude. They do not care costumers.

This company is nothing but unprofessional, condoning bullying customers, and judging customers.
One thing I get out of this horrible experience with this business is an ice-breaker with colleagues in meetings. They always get a kick out of how horrendous this place is. I also tell my schoolmates, friends, and family about this terrible place. They always have a good chuckle too. My network definitely knows what this business really is.of course I've been sharing some of their greatest pics with my people too. Sometimes I laugh at this a little bit myself too.

The people who work here at night shifts the are very arrogant.doesn't know how to talk to people and communicate very repulsive.

I've been going there for 5 years and its like a 2nd home. I'm a boxer so I only go there to hut weights but I certainly miss it right now

They’re charging people for their fees who haven’t been to the gym since the start of the pandemic weather you’ve swiped in or not. They won’t cancel you over the phone or online, you either have to go down there (during a pandemic) or write a snail mail letter (in 2020). This gym wasn’t that great before and it’s certainly not worth the hassle now. Person on the phone was ZERO help. See ya all at GoodLife

Perfect for you if you are into gym rats not caring about social distancing or wearing a mask when passing beside you.
You might even catch someone coughing on you if you’re lucky like me.

All the other locations in Toronto are open except this one. No email updates from the club. No one answer the phone either.

I was expecting to get my own disinfectant spray bottle so I don't have to touch the spray bottle everyone touches. Very unhygienic!

You get what you pay for a no frills gym with too many bikes and treadmills and not enough free weights and stretching space. The classes are uninspiring but overall a great gym for the basics.

This gym is so clean and the staff are excellent! Variety of machines available and newly renovated with fair monthly prices:) only con is that I miss the big windows and higher ceilings in the old space

It's decent for the price but the new renovated place some workout areas are way smaller. You can't work there at certain time of the day. And I wish the locker area was bigger, they had more lockers especially in peek rush hours. And there's way too much cardio machines.

A totally fine gym, but good luck cancelling your membership! I managed to get through their convoluted system and "request" that my membership be cancelled, but they still charged me. Their website only has a form to fill out with automated responses and a noreply email, no other contact info, and this galleria location in particular doesn't answer their phone - their system tells you "no one is available to take your call" and hangs up. I can't go in person - I moved, which is why I cancelled my membership. Soooo. I guess you're a member for life?

This branch of plane fitness is quite large and spacious. The staff is friendly and is open almost 24/7. It was located in a mall which is undergoing redevelopment. Apart from this the location, ease of getting to the Gym (has a separate entrance), size and the staff are really good. Recommended!

It's a pretty good gym for the price. Sometimes it gets stupid busy which can be challenging and patrons aren't very good at cleaning the equipment after themselves. But again, for the price it's worth it.

It also helps to have an idea of what you are doing as there are no trainers and the classes seem uninteresting.

Agreed with one of the reviewers. People that run this place are horrible. Staff uses profanity towards customers. They tell customers that their business is not welcomed. On top of that, they say their customers got no life because they work out there.

If you wonder what the cancellation policy is, you will have to spend some time filling in the information on the website before they will show you what you are signing up for. To simplify your life I share here their membership agreement as photos.

In my opinion the place it’s clean, the customer service could be better for sure.
Usually after 4pm it’s busy, I’ll try to go at 6am from now so I can use all the equipment that I need. The price is good, and about the pizza and the free beagle: nobody it’s forcing you to eat it, eats who wants it.

Not clean, the staff is rude, not friendly and seem like they don't want to help u. I know is cheap but not worth it.crowded it all the time! I just went 2 months

Pretty good gym for the $$. They closed on Nov. 7th to move to the new gym within the same building.i thought it will take at least 1 week for them to move; however, it was a very nice when i got an email on Monday Nov. 11th saying they were open!
The new gym looks great and it has new equipment. What else you can ask for the money we pay?

Really good equipment, very low price ($10/month) and surprisingly not that busy. Also, they just renovated the gym, it looks really modern

Great costumer service when called in. The location is closing for construction on Nov 7 th at 10pm and will open again on Nov 11th with a better bigger space. Cheers. Can't wait to CHK out this location soon.

Called in (Dupont location) to cancel my fitness plan with them. The person who spoke with me on the phone wasnt very helpful and rude. How is this people work at a fitness club with no telephone etiquette. I requested to cancel this awhile ago but memberships payment still deducting from my bank account. Told me to write a written letter for cancellation or go in person. Their system is very bad. They dont have any other easy way of cancelling the membership coz they want you to keep making a payment even though memberships hasn't been used for almost a year now. They're very good at making you sign up for memberships but once you ask to cancel it they are not happy and not helpful at all. Very disappointed at this location and their system.

This was my first membership for a gym, this place is great, but ultimately I outgrew the culture

Twice I came here and they said it was closed? For pipe maintenance or something like that and It was disappointing

Cancelling my membership was super easy, I did it because I switched to a gym with more free weights but as a rookie this place is great

Closing down for construction after saying they would be open during construction. They put up a sign saying they will close November 7 until further notice and you can use other locations. Both other locations are over an hour away on transit? Disappointed.

Its cheap but it gets really busy. There arent enough free weights or benchs during the busy periods. Also wish there was more room for stretching.

I wish they had more massage and relaxation options like a sauna room or something. But its a decent gym, lots of workout equipment. Nice staff

I'm very disappointed I've been a member of this gym before it even opened in Canada I lost my tag on my keys and I happen to go to a different location and when they searched up my name and it didn't pop up so I called literally 50 times and not one person at this location could pick up very disappointed

Very reasonable gym. Some staff never even say hello but some are very friendly. The best way to get attention of sraff busy wz their phone is to walk in fast as if sneaking in. I wish they had a yoga class. Machines are great.

Good equipment and prices thats it!
Only time it's not busy is 3am and you are fighting to get a Smith machine and dumbells any other time. Members sitting on machines watching Instagram and Facebook. The worst gym I ever been to. TO MANY MEMBERS I think there are over 15000 members. NO RECOMMENDED!

I do not recommend Planet Fitness. The gym is huge and there are lots of equipment, however, most of them are treadmills and elliptical machines. There are a few types of equipment for bodybuilding and they are very competitive since all men usually have very similar daily training. Also, the gym loves to spread out the message that they are "judgement free" but nobody can wear a tank top if they want to, not to mention that there is a very loud alarm that rings when someone does something that the gym doesn't agree with, putting the person in a VERY embarrassing situation since every single person at the gym stops to see who and what the person did, also, Planet Fitness` employees use their own judgement to decide what is correct and what is not. Another thing that is simply unbelievable: there isn't even a scale so that people can know how their weight loss progress is going.

In short, Planet Fitness wants to be "politically correct" to show people that the gym is modern and open-minded but hasn't realized that it behaves close to a dictatorship.

If you are looking for a place to workout where you can get positive atmosphere and helpful staff, the join this gym.

Was hesitant rejoining, but things have calmed down and improved at this location significantly. It used to be so packed all the time it was impossible to work out. It really isn't like that much anymore. Staff is helpful and kind. Fairly clean. Working machines. Vibe is good.

Still a bit unhappy about the judgement free ideal when there is clear judgement towards bodybuilders, but I've never in my life heard the lunk alarm go off. So, if you're getting back in the game, just getting into it, or just want a workout, this is a great place to begin.

Cheap but so busy at evenings, better time for workout after 10: 00 pm (for people who works at day time)

For the price you pay monthly, it worth it. The staff is very friendly and smiling all the time. However, there is a lack of equipments that you could find in competitors, and women washrooms are always kind of messy.

Friendly staff and nice environment. You can tell ppl mind their own workout, no judgement. The only thing I don't like is when those light dumbbells go missing and u can't find them: (or when theres no space to do your own workout. For the price I'm paying it's definitely worth it!

Have been going here for the past 5 years. Staff is friendly. People here are cool. Think of this as a more beginner gym. If you're looking to bulk, better to consider others. Good for starters.
