First time going to planet fitness and I understand why I never bothered before lol I bought the black card membership mainly because it’s so cheap, has tanning beds, massage chairs, and it’s open 24 hours. Iv been a member with la fitness for over a decade and before la fitness it was good life. These gyms compared to planet fitness is night and day. Was really disappointed walking in there and looking around seeing the type of machines they have and how small it is. Hardly any mirrors anywhere or free weights, etc. Just bad equipment. Went to go get a sip of water (1 water fountain), and it doesn’t even work? Wow. I’ll just use these gyms for tanning and massaging and stick with my la fitness membership for training.

Very clean, new gym. The tanning boots and massage bed areas are extremely nice and stylish, better than a salon.

Showers are clean and separate stalls, good for privacy.

But for someone who is a regular to weight train, this gym does not have a single squat rack with barbell. The closest they have are the smith machines. I was sadly disappointed when I noticed this flaw, but for all other machines they work just fine.

Good gym for the price.

This specific location has a ton of cardio equipment, you are never unable to get one. Lots of space in the gym with different work out areas so you can easily focus on specific areas. The gym is always being cleaned by staff, whether they are scrubbing machines or vacuuming, and they are friendly while doing it - you don't feel like you're in their way. There are multiple tanning rooms and they have the BEST hydro beds! I have never enjoyed going to a gym as much as this one and with the Black Card I can bring my daughter along without paying another membership fee. The best perk for me, especially since she doesn't go regularly. Seriously consider this gym and this location!

Terrible first experience. I was unaware of their no bags on the floor policy. Walked in with my bag past the front desk, where I wasn't stopped by the customer service rep. Proceeded to the treadmill and placed my bag on the floor, and began to change my shoes and remove my sweaters. Still, no one came to speak to me. Ran for 20 minutes and planned on moving to the free weights. This is when I am approached by a staff member who politely, at first, informed me of the no bag policy. I tried to reason with the gentleman that I have no lock and do not want to interrupt my workout to go out into the cold to grab a lock. He suggested I leave it at the front table. I told him that won't happen as we are in downtown Oshawa and anyone can walk put with it. I tried again to meet in the middle and asked him to place it behind the counter this one time where it would be safe and make sure to bring a lock next time as this was my first time at the gym. He was adamant that he would not put it behind the counter and began to present an attitude. So, I fired back the attitude to which he said, "I'll just cancel your membership. " Thankfully, the manager was a much nicer gentleman to speak with. Although I still don't feel like I was worked with or valued as a member who pays their fees, I will return to the gym. It has a decent setup. However, it does feel very crowded. That is my rant. 3 stars for the lousy employee.

Warm and friendly team. Super clean and well maintained facility. Planet Fitness has really helped to bring life back to this plaza. A+

Do not join planet fitness, especially this location. The general manager is very condescending and has no sense of customer service. Canceling my membership should not have been this hard.

Been with GoodLife and later fit4less for almost 6 years and joined PF a month back.

Everything is nice so far, love it, a welcoming place, good quality equipments, very clean and always have paper towel and wiping detergent.

1. But please fix the bottle water dispenser it's broken for almost a month.
2. The place usually hotter for typical gym environment I used to, I think gyms are usually set to few degrees lower than usual comfort, may be they change when more people have similar oppinion.
3. Some machine are not bolted making me little concerned, may it's just me it's fine.
4. We may have to think of something like curtains or vinyl for open glass windows, while we walk in to summer heat. As those windows face West and mirrors reflect pretty good amount of sunlight. Again may it's just me, idk if people prefer to work our under sunlight.

First time coming here. Staff is super friendly and helpful. All the machines are very good quality very smooth. The black card is worth the hydro massage alone! Highly recommend to anyone! Thank you.

So far I've had great experiences with the staff and the equipment.
The one thing that concerns me is that this place is 24/7. I'd suggest putting a little more security in here for after hours. Possibly like the ones they have at fit 4 less, where only members can access through the 2nd set of doors with your membership.

Super clean, staff are always friendly. Good selection of equipment or ability to work around some exercises that need more of it. Great for a cost effective gym

The only thing missing are mirrors in the change room!

A great gym with a lot of equipment and majority cardio based. The membership prices are inexpensive and reasonable. Change rooms are equipped with ample showers and private changing rooms. Lockers are available if you bring your own lock. Black card membership gives access to hydromassage, massage chairs.

Beautiful new facility. Staff is kind and helpful, if you have a question just ask. Non judgmental environment. Many machines and spa areas. Training courses to come in future. I definitely recommend checking it out, you won't be disappointed.

Staff are great but most of the equipment I’ve tried (elliptical and treadmills) have FAULTY FANS, which severely impacts the length of a workout when you can’t get some air! Basic stuff guys on new equipment.
Owners need to address this.
Otherwise the experience has been positive so far.

Feb 28-2023: water dispenser had been trickling out previously for se real weeks with a dirty filter alert light on that needed changing, but today it’s out of service completely? No ac on. Way too hot in here and stinks badly of sweat. Internet is down and can’t scan for check-in today? This place is going downhill FAST!

Great gym. All new machines. Well staffed. 24/7 hours (even though it currently says otherwise on their website for some reason). Good value if you go more than a few times a month. I like that there are lockers outside the change room that you can see while working out for added piece of mind that no one is stealing your stuff. Very happy this opened.

Very clean and lots of equipment. The staff that is there when I go, later at night, are so friendly and approachable. I've never stepped foot into a gym before starting here and now I'm actually looking forward to going each time. Kudos to the staff! Keep up the great work.

I wish there was a room to follow an aerobics instructor or other cardio workouts, and maybe a sauna and hottubs.

Great to see planet fitness opening up in Oshawa, finally. Location is mostly empty compared to planet fitness in Scarborough or Markham. Easier to find empty smith's machine or bench for workout. Overall great vibe and fun environment. Staff is friendly as well.

Stopped in on PFs Grand Opening. I wanted to scope out the gym so that I could have info for my patients that are interested in working out. Stef gave me a great tour and I will gladly recommend PF Oshawa. Was also good to see Deke looking fit.

I recently applied to Planet Fitness as I moved from Scarborough to Oshawa.

I love how friendly the staff are, how clean the gym is everytime I come as it is a brand new gym, and I love the equipment! Gosh I love how half of the equipment can count how many reps you do and how long can you do your sets!

Will recommend applying for this gym whoever lives near by! Not to mention its a 24/7 gym!

Steph is an amazing personal trainer with expert de-escalation skills.
During a class, a person was trying to interrupt, and she was able to de-escalate the situation perfectly. I would highly recommend signing up for any classes at this gym

Very nice gym. Clean (because it is new) hopefully it will always be clean. Staff are very friendly and nice. Lots of equipment. I think it is really worth it for the price paid. I joined because of price and open 24 hours.

The facility is very clean and very welcoming. The staff is very friendly to speak with. My husband and I love coming to this because it's so close to home and not only is the gym open 24/7, but the showers and the black card spa area are open as well.

It is a nice gym, lots of equipment to choose from. I just hope that they will maintain the cleanliness of the place. The staffs are helpful and friendly too.
