Phenomenal! Peanut butter broccoli & Bao burger is a " I'll get 2x of those, please! "

We were here over the holidays and really enjoyed the atmosphere, the quality of food and the excellent service.

Planta is easily my top fave in the city, I regularly go to and order from each location as well as recommend them yto friends and visitors. Some of my go to dishes are the sushi, crispy rice, bao slider, bang bang broccoli, and brownie dessert.

The Yorkville location has some great items not at Queen including the lumaconi pasta, which is delicious. My one criticism though is that the two times I have ordered via takeout it always comes with large penne pasta shells, instead of lumaconi like they serve in house. Wondering if there is a reason for this? It’s a bit disappointing as I love lumaconi pasta and replacing it with the larger wider noodle changes the texture of the whole dish. The sauce and cashew mozzarella are still amazing.

Edit: adding a 5th star because I got the lumaconi pasta noodles in takeaway finally! Love it, thank you!

Overall I love this place and am happy it puts Toronto on the map for creative and great tasting plant based menus!

Warm and exemplar service from Isaac today! The bang bang broccoli was lightly deep fried, not greasy or sickly at all. Broccoli never tasted so good. Bao nicely done, brussell sprouts a little too spicy but otherwise excellent sauces over everything.

The plant based burger and truffle fries was excellent. No lack of flavour and nice texture. Staff and environment was great also. Only negative is that it's pricy but on par with other vegan restaurants.

Such a lovely spot to grab dinner with friends we shared a bunch of appetizers and it was delicious. I noticed that if we didn’t ask for tap water, they didn’t refill our cups with water or leave the water at the table, which I found a tad odd. But overall the staff were quite friendly and helpful. I’m obsessed with the fried mushroom so delicious the dumplings were quite tasty, but the fries were quite basic with the perfect level of crunch.

The food was average in my opinion. Varied options for the non-meat folks. The overall restaurant appears to be aged. For example the seats all had splitting in the leather around the edge. Light switch on the wall needed a cleaning for something that was very visible in the dinning room.

Highly recommend the lunch deal with starters, main, & scrumptious cookie. The carnivores I travel with had zero complains.

This restaurant was definitely a unique food experience, in a good way.

All items were vegan and/or plant based so they mostly had distinct flavours that you don’t taste in the regular version of the dish.

I liked the guac with plant based chips the most.

I ordered a pasta dish and the almond based sauce was not for my flavour buds but good to try.

Good vibe, extensive menu and accommodating for many dietary restrictions. Queso fundido and dumplings were great. The bao slider was good but there were only 2 tiny pieces of mushroom inside; it definitely could have used more filling. Some of the prices aren't worth it for the quantity of food that you get.

Great experience at Planta — Shakshuka was surprisingly so delicious and the dumplings were great!

Amazing! The pasta and pizza were both delicious (recommended by our awesome waiter Josh) we were there celebrating our engagement and thoroughly the ambiance, music, service, and the food! Would highly recommend to non-vegans as well. So so tasty

Oof. Being vegan is no feat when you have amazing restaurants like planta. An amazing experience. Delicious food, with outstanding service. Our server, Darcy was fantastic. She was extremely attentive, gave awesome recommendations and was super polite and followed all appropriate health and safety protocols. Great beer, amazing food and outstanding service. The best vegan meal I’ve had in a long time! One of our apps came out 5 mins late and they didn’t even charge us for it. Great service, drinks, and food!

I absolutely loved the atmosphere and interior of this place! Our server was very attentive and checked in on us the right amount of time.

I had the planta burger which was amazing. As I bit into the burger, I knew it was plant based by the taste. However, the taste was still exceptional and the texture mimicked better texture of meat very closely. I enjoyed it and the almond parmesan truffle fries!

I ordered the “Rise & Shine” (a cold pressed juice) …. It had an overwhelming taste of carrot and ginger. I still enjoyed it but had to sip it a bit slower than usual since those two flavours were a bit overpowering for my palate. Still enjoyed it and it definitely woke me up!

The 4 star I give is bcs of him overall.
I ask for recommendation and he suggested for fetucinni pasta If I am not mistaken, turns out me and my husband didn't like it bcs tye taste of Coconut Oil is way too Strong. (Please don't order if you don't big fan of Coconut Oil!)
We didn't ask him anything, but he offered if we don't really like it we can change anything, and they didn't charge for pasta.
In the end we ordered Udon Truffle as replacement, its better, but still there is coconut oil inside. But anyway, is soooo much better than the first one.

Anyway, me and my husband ordered:
-Broccoli Fried with Peanut Sauce (5.5 / 10)
-French Fries Truffle (9.5 / 10)
-Dumpling (5 / 10)
-Udon Truffle (6.5 / 10)
In the end we pay 85$ with tips.

It's way too expensive I believe, but yep, nice experience.

Bianca pizza was delicious, eggplant lasagna was also great.
Best part of the night was the chocolate brownie.
Kind of expensive but understandable since you're paying for the location and decor.
Would go back for another special night.

I use to Love this place, but I recently placed an order for me to pick up. I felt like I was eating buffet food from low end Chinese restaurant. Pizza was not even warmed up and the food was ready in 10 min. I should of know. I feel that the food was prepared hours before and was just sitting there ready to be put in a microwave and served. Not my favourite way to spend $218.00

Food is unbelievably delicious, I’m not a vegetarian or vegan, and I’m very critic of burgers, but the Planta Burger is absolutely insane! Besides the food, service is also top notch! 5 stars with no hesitation!

Planta is a fantastic restaurant for delicious dishes and a great date night atmosphere. The kimchi is authentic and every dish is a taste sensation! The bang bang broccoli, Japanese sweet potato, lettuce wraps and mushroom gluten free pizza are especially good. And I'm not a vegetarian! Also, the service is perfect. I highly recommend Planta in Yorkville!

Great service great food. Upon arrival the girl on the front desk was very friendly- we were offered a table right in the middle which we wanted it changed- again the 2nd table we found was very close to the front door and yet again they were more than happy to change it to the back room. Our server was Alexa who was very attentive and friendly. Loved the drinks and loved the food. Definitely will recommend.

Soooo freaking good. Yes quite expensive but the portions for pastas and pizzas are huge. I loved the lasagna and carbonara special last night. Great atmosphere as well. Is a bit hot and music is a little loud but not enough to take away from the experience. I love that everything is vegan. Oh, and the wine was amazing. Friendly service and the whole restaurant was clean. Dying to go again.

Everything started out well, with good service and tasty food. But when we tried to get the check, it was a struggle. Our server spent an inordinate amount of time chatting with another table, passed in front of us several times ignoring my raised hand. I asked another server, who said I had to ask our server. I asked the host and she said the same. It took over half an hour. I left a 5% tip, against my better judgment!

We visited this gem tonight. So nice having a menu where everything is vegan. The menu is quite diverse, with likely something for everyone.

We had the burger w/ fries and the loaded nachos. I cannot have any spicy food at all and had to send them back because they were so spicy. I felt bad because my tolerance is much lower than others. I ended up choosing the Bianca pizza (pictured) without the hot sauce which was amazing.

The service here is unreal. They know when to fill your water, are quick to fix any issues and the food came out super fast. Our server was top-notch and kept apologizing for the spicy nachos, even when it wasn't her fault at all. She was super nice and friendly to help with picking a different option before promptly bringing it out when it was ready. Everyone we dealt with was so friendly and professional.

The washrooms are super clean and very nice. The inside of the restaurant is exceptional, nicely decorated and also very clean.

Next time we're back in Toronto, we'll definitely be back to this Planta.

I go here on dates some times. The menu changes season to season, I remember I once had these mushroom calamari appetizer that was to die for, but that is no longer available. However, the food is always good although always pricey as well. It is nice to have an upscale place vegans or those interested in eating a plant-based diet can eat at. Highly recommend for date nights!

Planta is a cozy where you can enjoy tasty food and time with your friends.
It looks also very cute so I would recommend it for a date ;)

I cannot approp[riately rate the food as I enjoy meat as much as most but my Vegan daughter loved it so 5/5!

I love this place. It never disappoints. By far my favourite vegan restaurant in Toronto. I do wish they weren’t so afraid of seasoning the food but still very good. A little extra salt and pepper never hurt nobody. The decor inside is stunning. And the effort to maintain social distancing with guests is evident. The tables are very spaced out and staff have their masks secured (even over their noses). I feel safe dining here. Can’t say the same for other restaurants in the down setting.

Beautiful decor, pretty good food. Recommend the queso dip for an app and the young coconut for dessert. Crab cakes were not as flavourful as I would have hoped. Good for a light meal. Service was quite slow— we asked for the desert menu from two people before finally receivig one after 10 minutes.

Cute seating area and decor but food is a hit or miss based on what you pick. However their brunch menues on Sunday are definitely great for vegans and non vegans alike. Very flavorful and fulfilling. And super healthy!

If I could give this place a zero I most certainly would. The food was terrible the service at best was mediocre. Our server recommended the daily special to us which was a celeriac wellington designed to be shared. She told us that people had been raving about it all night and insisted it was "amazing", it was awful. It was simply just a piece of celeriac with not even a hint of seasoning wrapped in puff pastry. The scalloped potatoes that accompanied it were equally ghastly. After recommending this dish to us our server just simply disappeared for the rest of the night. I could not even address my grievances with her on her recommendation. She gave us no indication that she was done for the evening, not a single word just simply disappeared. You would think the worst part was that this dish cost $70.00! But that was not the worst part, the worst part was when I got home and was ill for several hours after. Would definitely not recommend planta and will definitely not be returning. Not one to write reviews, especially bad reviews but this experience left a literal bad taste in my mouth.

The burger was tasty but quite small, the fries were okay at first but the more I ate, the less I liked them. The broccoli was a disappointment. Overall, it was an okay restaurant in a decent area with nice decor, but the service was subpar (waited almost 35-40 mins to get our bill) and it was super crowded and overpriced in my opinion.

One of the best vegan restaurants in all of Toronto. The dining experience is extremely consistent from food to service. We've come to love the noodles and their famous planta burgers. Keep up the great work!

Been here twice now, the food is good for a vegan place, but the last time we went the service was so slow and made so many mistakes. Why bring only two people only one drink then make us wait 15 minutes for the other person's drink? Why do we have to chase you down for a refill? We didn't bother ordering a thrid drink because we waited so long for the second. Same thing with food, this is tapas place so you expect to be ordering a bunch of small plates over the course of the meal. That's tough when your server is never around. Usually I don't care bout this stuff but man this was bad for suck a nice restaurant.

Uber eats: i paid 37$ for this tiny mushroom dish! Too much expensive.
But still 5 stars cause the food is vegan and yummy

We had the truffle fries and the celariac Wellington. The Wellington itself was an interesting idea, on reflection was a bit too big - it could have been less celeriac and I found the pastry to be a little soft and lacking the crunch. The potato side (aside from the carb with more carb) was dense and lacking the creaminess you might expect from scallop potatoes. The fries and "aioli" were good but the truffley powder was lacking in, well, truffle. I was hoping when I came here to have something so yummy I didn't notice the vegetarianism; the food was good but it couldn't be called great without the the appendage "for a vegan version" and that is a shame. Whilst here try the skin contact wines. I bought a glass of the Pinot Grigio and upgraded to a bottle - delicious!

So delicious and light. I come here when I'm feeling guilty about the way I have been eating. The food years so nourishing and makes you feel energized and uplifted. I specially love the atmosphere. The service is also great!

Planta is my favourite restaurant in Toronto, hands down. The food, atmosphere, and service always make for a memorable evening. When I have visitors from out of town, date night, celebrate something special, or just want to chill and eat comfort food- Planta is always my go to. Try the coconut ceviche and the Italian Job pizza:).

Service was great. Food was good but tiny portions for what you’re paying for vegan dishes. And $21 for an Old fashioned? For real? I’ll probably go again though those fried tofu things were tight

My girlfriend and I have been here twice and we love it. What made me want to leave a review was the incredible service we got on our last visit. We brought a friend who is a beautiful soul but definitely out of place at Planta, and our server was just so incredible with him. I can't remember her name, but we cajoled her into having her picture taken with us and we'll post it here. Her compassion, wit, and conscientiousness made our visit to Planta the kind of experience that reminds you that the world is a beautiful place. If you're a customer and you get her, you're in for a treat. If you're management and you're reading this, you should probably give her a raise. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

I am not a vegan but went there for my sisters birthday party and was very pleased with the food and atmosphere on a Saturday night. I would give it 4 stars but I didn't like the beer.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE from Lauren O. She was so pleasant and came around to our table at the perfect times. We were celebrating a birthday and she did an amazing job of making my boyfriend feel special. The food was amazing, burger was perfect along with the truffle fry app and tacos. Atmosphere is perfect, music volume perfect. Can’t say enough great things! Will be back and bringing friends. Never thought plant-based food could taste like that! I had to do a double take on the crabcakes, because they tasted amazing!

Decadent, lovingly prepared vegan brunch. Planta is next level everything. Pretty sure every single staff member stopped by the table to wish Eden well for her 21st birthday and our server Marissa was beyond exceptional!

It was such a special 3-generation girl’s brunch having her grandmother there with us. We enjoyed the nachos, the banana bread, the Kim chew spring rolls, the cauliflower bites, the avocado toast and the Crab cakes bene. Dessert was the chocolate terrarium. So much food but it was all divine and we loved every bite!

We can understand why Eden loves working here and wanted to come here for her birthday - the people and the food make it an absolute gem in the city. #plantatoronto @ Planta Toronto

This place is fantastic! I tried 3 different dishes, 4 different cocktails, 2 of their deserts and a warm Pistachio Rose Mylk to finish. Everything was just delicious! Not everyday do you get a chance to get your mind blown away by good food, if you are contemplating going here, please don't hesitate! Highly recommended!
