People BEWARE! Got a call from these guys today about sending a service person to inspect my furnace and duct work (For Free). I don't have ducts in my house. How did they get my phone number, name, and address? I deal with Reliance. Remember, nothing is free these days. Also, I am in St. Thomas.

They cold call you and try to make it sound like everyone is scheduled for a "free" "safety inspection" (like it is a gov't thing or something).

Ask some questions, and you discover it is a duct cleaning service. They will come in to "inspect" your ducts, then tell you how dirty they are and how your health is at risk.

They will overcharge you to basically stick a vacuum hose into the duct system and suck out some dust. Now your "safe" - pay us big.

Getting your ducts cleaned should be YOUR choice and YOU can choose a reputable company (not this one). SCAM

Drove from out of town to purchase a remote. The girls behind the desk were so helpful. It made the drive worth it to experience such pleasant young ladies.

Called here today. Have never dealt with these people. The salesperson was aggressive & wanted into our home for inspection & made it appear like they've been here before. Dire warnings about our safety if it wasn't done. SCAMMERS!

Received a cold telemarketing call from an agent who tried to sound like he knew me, offering free furnace and dryer inspection.
He claimed to be working with the city. I am on CRTC's do not call list and have no previous relationship with Platinum, so I should not be receiving their telemarketing calls.
The city is not working with this company. I called Platinum and spoke to a lady who was very unprofessional, interrupting me multiple times. When i asked to speak to a manager, she claimed to be the manager. I hung up and called back requesting to be placed on their internal Do Not Call list and filed a complaint with CRTC.

My old furnace was on its last legs, so I called these guys to come in and replace it. They were professional, courteous, and got the job done in no time. Thanks, guys!

I've had bad experiences with contractors in the past, but these guys restored my faith. They were professional, and reliable~ and did a fantastic job.

I've tried a few different air purifiers in the past, but this one takes the cake. It's powerful but quiet, and looks cool as heck with the LEDs, especially at night time. 10/10 would recommend.

To inspect our exterior vents.
It was just a scam to get into our house and try to sell us vent cleaning.
Why would we use a company from london (we live in amherstburg)
They quoted $599.00 we have a quote from a local reputable company for $330.00

The two men who maintained the system arrived on schedule. They gave us a full explanation and demonstrated what was coming out of our vents. I'm very happy we completed this task!

Scam company! "Free" ventilation assessment.couldn't answer any questions and when I called back to clarify for more details they hung up on me.

Edit: 4 months later I get a response for me to provide "additional feedback" when my review was in regards to the fact their company could not give ANY details or clarification and hung up when asked. Point proven.

Platinum Air Care came to fix my leaky furnace. He was friendly, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He got the problem pinned down and fixed in no time. Great work.

The high pressure sales person called today stating they were the company that did the safety inspections free of charge in my city’s area, and needed to set up the time for inspection. They knew my name, address, and phone number even though I’ve never used this company before. When I heard the red flags in the conversation and questioned why he was calling, he got quite defensive. He proclaimed his company’s BBB status, and told me I should “do my research. ” Sounds like I struck quite a nerve with their telephone solicitor’s feelings when I told him how disgusting he is to try to scam people. Yes the are a real company, but their reviews speak of shady business practices of this very thing, then high pressure selling overpriced items to homeowners once in their homes. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Annoying calls, told them repeatedly I am not interested in their service, but they keep calling.

Very impressed with this company. Had a no heat call, found out my furnace was very old and needed to upgrade. Gave me multiple options and was out within 24 hours to install a new one. Very happy with the process and how quick they are in responding to the needs of the community. Would most definitely recommend to everyone and anyone I can!

After reading some of the other reviews I’ve decided to add my review also of this company. Especially since I’m reading similar things about how this company works. I feel very disheartened knowing once again I feel this company has tried to take advantage of a senior. My mom who lives in Goderich was CALLED BY THIS COMPANY who she had no prior knowledge of to have her air ducts cleaned, she agreed but once they inspect they try to sell more and my mom ended up with an expensive air purifying system. She quickly changed her mind and they were good about letting her send it back but I feel that she should never have been put in this situation it caused her a lot of anxiety when she realized she shouldn’t have purchased it and she never even had called this company. Once again I feel they prey on seniors trying to sell unnecessary items.

Bought parts for our respiraid air purifier. They were awesome to deal with. Had everything we needed. Will use them again for our parts going forward.

Unfortunately, this review echoes many of the previous negative posts. This unprofessional business takes advantage of elderly people, and made an unsolicited sale of an extremely over-priced air cleaner to my mother-in-law, whose decision-making capacity is compromised due to her age. It seems exploitative and unethical to seek out an elderly person to sign a contract they are not capable of understanding.

In the 5 months since they entered her house during COVID and put this unnecessary item in, they have returned twice to service it (read: take more of her money for needless work). When we contacted them to cancel her account, they said they couldn’t do much since it has been a few months, but that she would be put on the “Do Not Contact” list. When we contacted them again asking for a refund, we were offered free service on the air cleaner for a year, disregarding our request to cancel her account and not go to her house again. Clearly, this is not their first rodeo, and they know how to skirt complaints. We have reported to the Better Business Bureau and Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
