I’ve been a patient there for years now numerous times the staff made a mistake with the timings but this time when I went there 8 months pregnant they wrote me a letter and said I have to pay but I was going through financial hardship and asked to speak to the owner to say to let me get the letter I’ll pay for it which I would he was rude and said my partner should be paying and asked what I need it for I said my oDSP he stated “ you people don’t pay taxes here how us people eat off taxes that seemed discriminative n I said I pay taxes everywhere I shop he said “no you don’t the answer is no you can’t have the letter” I felt horrible crying through out the day he could’ve kindly said no why ask personal questions please if there’s anyone that could help me for the hardship this person caused.: , (I’m emotionally broken my partner has left me with 3 kids and pregnant

I have been a patient of Dr Jiwanis for years and I have never had any problems with her or any problems with any of the staff in this office. If there is something going on with some tests that Dr Jiwani had me do, she would call me right away, to make sure I knew what was going on or to even just check on me, to make sure I am doing OK. Out of all the doctors I have ever had over the years, Dr Jiwani has been the best and I would never ask to switch doctors ever.

I had an appointment today with Dr. Jiwani Almas via telephone. During the call, she seemed in a rush to get off the phone with me and when I asked her a question regarding my pregnancy she was very rude and made me feel stupid for asking such a question. I began to tell her that she needed to work on her tone, and not give attitude towards a patient, her reaction was to say that I was the one with attitude and that if I didn't like it to come in and speak with a manager and then hang up. Once I get in with my ON/GYN I am never going back.

Dr Pinella is by far the best doctor I’ve ever had but the experiences with the clinic are far from great. They’re disrespectful hang up on you constantly and now they are not allowing me to see another doctor because I went and seen a WALK-IN DOCTOR because my personal doctor was booked for over a month. They’re rude arrogant and make coming to the doctors office a terrible task. I’ve never had to deal with them as I’ve always booked online and had a phone appointment and before that my mom had booked my appointments. This type of behaviour for people who work at a front desk is unacceptable and disgusting it’s no wonder this clinic has terrible reviews. It’s not the doctors but the front staff. I couldn’t praise the doctors enough but the front staff are another story.

One of the best clinics in the area. Super well managed and appointments are easy to make. I also love the doctors and administration staff who make the clinic run smoothly with their competence in the EMR software

My family and I have been patients with this clinic for over 12 years now. We have seen a few different doctors, but we have had the same family doctor for the last several years.
Our doctor is so efficient and very helpful with preventative measures. She always suggests useful ways to manage whatever health concerns we’ve had. She never hesitates to prescribe or refer, with great judgement and professionalism.
The clinic itself is a bit dated. The manager is very approachable and very knowledgeable. He can straight/short with his responses when he is busy or occupied otherwise, however he has always made time to talk with us if we had any questions. The staff/office admin are very busy, and often need to be very direct with patients. However, they have to be this way since many people have mistreated and disrespected them over the years. They had to be more strict because of the actions of others. I’ve seen them assaulted by people shoving things at them over the desk, verbally harassing them with very inappropriate language. It’s a bit of a rough neighbourhood in the vicinity of the clinic.
Overall I appreciate this clinic. They’ve helped us through pregnancies and raising 3 children, plus all of my and my husbands ailments. Great respect for them as they serve this community which is often disregarded.

Im so lucky and blessed to such great, passionate and hardworking doctor Angela Chan, she's been such a amazing doctor throughout the year i'm with her and my kids.she listen to details and she is there like a family. To be honest if i could give hundred star I would.
The rectionists is also doing nice amazing job they're friendly and nice the patients.

Dr Jiwani is by far the best doctor and thats the reason we are with this clinic. But the medical facility itself is outrageously unprofessional, to be honest I have no idea how they're still running. The front desk is extremely unprofessional and disorganized. Im really sadden that Dr. Jiwani moved into this facility. Shes the only reason why I tolerate there or I would've left awhile ago. Front desk is so unprofessional any time you call them, they put you on the hold for 2-5 minutes before coming online. I don't understand this at all. Staff is always rude. You would never get satisfied of being heard or satisfied to be served properly. But as I said overall Dr. Jiwani is the best and I hope she moves from here soon!

Ridiculous long wait time. Brought it up with one of the staff. The staff member brings in the manager whose response is “If you don’t want to wait, you can leave” and walked away. Extremely rude and very unprofessional. I’ve previously waited an hour to get seen by the doctor. They need to learn how to manage appointment times and not have patients, who come on time or earlier, waiting an hour either outside in the reception area or inside the rooms. And the manager needs to learn basic manners.

Love the doctor but the lady who takes blood is super slow. She takes about 20-30 minutes to take blood from each patient. The doctor doesn’t even take this much time.

I have been with them for 8 years and they are the most incompetent people I have ever known. This place is awful and I highly suggest finding anywhere else. They put you in hold EVERY single time you call and then don’t give you proper information. Every meeting is done over the phone now which defeats the purpose of seeing a doctor. The staff is so incredibly incompetent and ever changing as are the doctors who I have gone through four in 8 years on account of them leaving the building. I know understand why the doctors leave.awful awful place

This is the worst clinic. Never visit this clinic
My wife did her blood work 2 months ago and she had high glucose level. Till date dr have not sent her prescription to pharmacy
After multiple calls and visits we are struggling to get our prescription
Dr is never available
Receptionist are extremely rude to patients
We are making rounds to get our prescription from them

Dr. Lall has been my family doctor for 28yrs. She is amazing, kind and empathetic. She does everything in her ability to ensure that her patients get the proper care they need, she refers if she suspects there might be a bigger issue that is not within her scope of practice, she is humble! I switched Dr’s because I moved out of the area, but I quickly switched backed.no matter the distance, she will be my family doctor, because she’s the best!

Physicians are very caring, friendly and competent. Also they are active listners and good in building therapeutic relationships with patietns. I am going there for long time and found them clinically strong team including other staff.
Recently, I saw Dr. Hirshhorn and Dr. Michelle and they both were very caring.

Last Friday I had a blood test at this clinic and today, a week later, they cannot find my test results and I am not given the assurance that everything is being done to get these results as soon as possible! What a horrid experience.

This is the worst walking clinic I have ever been. Very unproffesional, disorganized and so rude doctors and staff. Took my daughter and she was suppose to get a immunization. The doctor we spoke she was so rude and very unproffesional. No time to listen to my concern she was kept interruptung. The doctor name was Lal. I do'nt think I will ever go there again.

The worst doctor is doctor javani Almas don’t go here the receptionists is rude and the doctors! The doctor comes and sees you for few minutes gives you medication and no referrals. Then she proceeds to ask you to come second time to make that extra income from you even if your health is not doing well! Hence is why I will not let my son and my husband to come to this location again. Also the wait time even if you booked in advanced is greater then 1 hour for the doctor to only rush in and see you for 2 minutes and never listens to your concerns never coming here again.

Dr jiwani is by far the best doctor. But the medical facility itself is outrageously unprofessional, to be quite honest I have no idea how they're still running. The place definitely needs a renovation. Especially in the patient rooms even the garbage cans have holes in them and its really not a good look for it to be a medical facility. Dr.almas jiwani is awesome but front desk people are ridiculous if you try to call them for appointment.they just put you on hold after 5 minutes cut off call. That's how medical people works.i don't have choice to selecte zero That's why i give them one star.

Dr.lal Is by far the best doctor I have been to. She knowledgeable and she is the most sweetest, kindest and caring person. She gives a thorough diagnoses.

The doctors are amazing the Front Desk is by far the worse I've ever had to experience. I Urge you to go else where especially for serious medical concerns.

They place you on hold for over 10 minutes and once you do speak with someone they are extremely rude. They cut you off and are wrong and strong.

I've had to call them over 4 times in the past 4 hours to ensure my prescription was sent to my pharmacist. First they sent it to wrong pharmacist and then refused to email me my own prescription to have it filled on my own.

The manager is absolutely ridiculous. When I asked to have my prescription emailed directly to me his response was " I don't want my staff doing double work" so in order word he rather us wait in pain and for us to chase them. He also went ahead and told me to tell my pharmacist to fix their fax machine rather than coming up with a proper solution.

If anyone has any information on how I can report this Doctors Office especially the Management of the front desk please respond and let me know.

They should absolutely be shut down!

First, I want to stress that Dr. Lall is by far one of the most professional Doctors I have ever encountered and I have the deepest respect and admiration for someone of her caliber working in such a challenging environment. Secondly, the staff they have to do bloodwork, is superior to individuals found in any prestigious teaching hospital. They are a Godsend for someone with difficult veins and I can not recommend them strongly enough. These individuals are the reason people stay at this clinic.
The problems with the clinic are solely with the front desk and reception staff who have worked hard to earn the reputation written by everyone who took the time to post a comment; being the most offensive, rudest, challenging, ill equipped to work with the public, people I've ever encountered. From a HR perspective, they break every possible rule in dealing with clients on the phone and in person. They don't listen to the replies given to questions they ask, so you repeat everything 5 or 6 times easily. You will be placed on hold for 7 15 minutes, on average, be disconnected multiple times, be cut off mid sentence to be placed on hold, be hung up on, be told to call back, be given wrong information.
The main receptionist should be fired and never obtain employment in a medical professional setting again. She turns her back to you, walking away to do other things. She cuts you off to answer the phone or simply leave the desk. She has no sense of time management and has no skillset to manage a busy practice.
In summation; The Doctors and the Bloodwork staff are exemplary and I can not recommend them highly enough. The front desk and receptionist staff, are examples of the wrong person placed in the wrong job for their diminished or non existent skillset. They neither have the ability or motivation to improve as after 20 years, they neither recognize me when in the office or by phone. Nor do they care who they offend while trying to avoid doing any work. Truly horrible to endure, but worth it, for the sake of the wonderful treatment once you get past them.

I am forced to rate Platinum Medical in order to post this comment - 4/5 because we are not perfect and are always striving to improve.

This is a reply to Lini's unreasonable comments. As a clinic we have never replied to anyone's assertions, even when they came from drug-dependent people who simply wanted to get back at a doctor more-concerned with their welfare than the possibility unfavourable online slights. We do not read online comments, but in this case, because Lini advertised her intent, I decided to break our position.

Lini's diatribe needs a reply, and I actually got my first gmail account, just for this. I do not deny that some of that conversation took place. Certainly, that it was clear that no amount of possible explanations for what had happened to Lini was going to help her avoid the same problems going forward and it was clear that we should part ways because regardless of what happened, patients need to be comfortable with the clinic and the doctor. Ans she was no longer comfortable.

Lini's problem, and her comments suggests that she still chooses not to understand the issue, is that she is registered at the clinic under ONE NAME but booked online (through a 3rd party service we employ) under a different LAST name. So when staff tried to locate her name, including myself, her name (file) could not be found (different last name) and therefore we did not have her file available when she called.

I tried explaining this so that in future she should use her last name as registered with Platinum. She would have nothing of it. She was too angry and dominated the conversation mostly with statements about how rude my staff had been. Where she lost her position of being a victim is when she accused a specific staff of being rude. I know my staff very well, and if she had suggested one of the others of being rude I would have had a chat with the staff about being sympathetic and understanding with patients. However she chose to accuse the most accommodating and polite person I have ever met - you know the kind, from Pakistan or India or Sri Lanka, who simply cannot say a mean or bad word and refuses to assert herself when being verbally accosted. I occasionally have to reminder her that rude people should not be tolerated, but she simply cannot find the strength to assert herself. Lini's accusation of this beautiful person told me that she was making things up or was too upset to understand what was being said to her by the staff.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience, but I am not afraid to say that our clinic places patients first and my staff try very hard, particularly at answering phones.

I note that there are several disparaging comments because people are put on hold. True that happens. We have 7 incoming lines and sometimes all 7 are ringing. My staff's first job is to answer, even if they have to be put on hold. We believe that it is better to answer and be put on hold that to put the ringer on mute and not answer. I don't know, should we not answer a call just because we might have to put them on hold? This happens very often at other clinics and we believe it is not a good way to manage a clinic. There are also comments about our doctors not faxing prescriptions or referrals. These are mostly untruths, usually perpetuated by the recipient. Too often, pharmacies would rather tell the patient they did not receive the prescription (therefore the MD did not fax it) than to look for it in their messed up filing system - the greatest perpetrator of these falsehoods that we deal with weekly is Wal-Mart at Markham/Eglinton who regularly announces to the patient that we did not send the fax but our records show that we did - every time! Likewise with some secretaries of some specialists who cannot locate a referral and tells the patient we did not send it. Of course when the thought that "we didn't do the work" is placed in the mind of the patient, we take the heat and the bad press.

I recently chose Dr. Rodriguez as my family Doctor. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the Doctor herself. They are doing the best they can under very difficult circumstances day in and day out during this pandemic. I am very pleased with my choice

Very incompetent doctor. Wrote completely incorrect information on my referral notes for a colonoscopy. My husband's test results were for someone else! Ridiculous. Save yourself time and effort and go elsewhere.

They need a new reception / management team. The people that answer and book appointments are extremely rude and unprofessional. It’s the kind of service you’d expect from a spoiled teen that does not care about the job. I understand the doctors are busy (especially during a pandemic), but if that’s the case, they shouldn’t book so many phone appointments. Seems like they overbook and therefore the doctors are always behind.

Can't understand the negative reviews, except for wait times can be long. But as my doctor says, if appointments are to be dictated by a clock, you're dealing with a cab driver not a doctor. Clean, comfortable, pleasant staff. Doctors I've dealt with were very professional and caring.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lall for over 15 years. She’s a great doctor. The staff and management on the other hand are in unprofessional, garbage people who don’t give a hoot about patient care or confidentiality. It is located at Markham and Eglinton which, historically, has a bad rep for high crime/low income. Even if it is in response to a few impolite immigrants who take advantage of the system, other self-respecting people shouldn’t have to be treated this way. Things prob won’t change until another clinic opens up nearby and takes away their customers. Avoid.
