This is the second Platos location we've been to. It was a touch more crowded than we're used to, but the selection is great. Not as many high quality purses compared to the Markham location, but lots of great sweatshirts and athletic wear. Staff are friendly and efficient.
Every time i come to this location I leave with nothing but a pounding headache. The music is always super loud, and the store disorganized. Much prefer other locations
Absolutely amazing staff. Really puts things into perspective because I had a disgusting experience at Style Encore right after. These staff members were extremely nice and patient. They took their time to explain how this works and why some items were accepted and why others weren’t. Price was reasonable as they need to make profit too! The two girls working today on April 18, just wanted to give you a thumbs up!
Recommend Don't Ever waiste the drive to sell Anything! Brought brand new Dr Martens tagged shoes a whole bunch insulted me with the price do not bother ever! I wish I can give it a minus five star rating Brampton Vaughn store I recommend to do your shopping and selling it's like two different companies
I love this store and everyone who works here, it's amazing to get such amazing deals on brand name clothes for a fraction of the cost and also know you're shopping more sustainably by buying slightly used clothes rather than brand new. The staff are so sweet and efficient helping you with the changing rooms and at the cash
Great selection and reasonable prices. I just want to suggest maybe to have someone to assist the ladies in the cashier when accepting those heavy bags of clothes. I went there Jan 3rd around 6pm. The cashier had to carry multiple heavy bags. I just thought it was too heavy for her and could use some help
The best Plato’s in terms of clothing selection however the worst in terms of staff. Came here twice over the last two weeks & one particular staff appeared visibly irritated. I heard her vocally give her co-workers trouble for going “too slow. ” While I’m compassionate that it’s an unprecedented time and it’s overwhelming, it’s not really appropriate to speak under your breath, completely ignore the customer, and roll your eyes when you see another person come in with clothing. Other than that, the store is clean, every other employee seems to be in good spirits, and there is consistently staff by the change room to help with getting a room.
Ordered online and was told to pickup my order from 12pm to 7pm on Wednesday or Saturday. I went on Wednesday at around 6pm, and there was nobody in the store. Tried calling and emailing, but no one answered, so I left empty handed. Very disappointing service and a complete waste of time.
I've been to the Scarborough, Vaughan and Markham location to sell my old clothes and this one is my favourite. Staff are kind and knowledgeable and the store is neatly laid out. I don't keep have to keep filling in my information every time I come in. To be honest, the prices at which they buy are a fraction of their original value but once in a while I do have some items that they buy at an okay price. I have tons of men's clothes from years past and the salespeople always thank me for contributing because they want to expand their men's selection.
I was at Platos Closet in Richmond Hill recently and they have all their new rules which I understand. However, one of their long time rules is that they would like the clothing brought in to be folded neatly for them. When I went back in to pick up my items they just tossed it into the laundry hamper I brought it in. It was literally like they balled it up and just shoved it all in. Next time please practice what you preach! I have had experiences at the Newmarket Plato's as well and not once have they done that.
Lots of the workers are rude. Act higher up then everyone else. Especially the older workers. Younger works are polite and have better customer service then the older girls working there.
This Plato's closet is my absolute favourite! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you'll enjoy your visit here. The staff always greets you with a warm welcome, there are amazing always finds, the store is always clean and the staff is always willing to help in anyway they can. By far the best Plato's closet experience every time!
Awful return policy! Bought a jacket & used my 40 points ($400 spent) to get 20% off, when I returned the jacket I lost all 40 points? M!? ! Seems quite unfair as I earned those points and lost them over an unwanted purchase?
Bags were cute but everything else was overpriced and bad quality; fast fashion items that people got rid of.if youre looking for vintage this isnt the place to go
I have never seen customer service worse than this. I am someone who has been in the customer service industry for more than 18 years. The customer service at the store in Richmond hill is outrages. Some of the workers there show no interest in helping the customers and are very quick to assume that i had the wrong information before i even got the CHANCE TO FINISH MY SENTENCE. I was with one of the girls who seemed to be in charge of the rest of the employees at the time, She seemed very full of herself and she treated me very poorly. Platos closet is a wonderful place and I love shopping there, but people like her ruin the environment. To have such a person like this working for you, I can see them ruining the reputation of your store. Not everyone working there is rude, infact the girls who were in charge of the change rooms were very polite and even went around to look for a certain item for me. The rude interaction happened last week. Please talk to the employees that fit my brief description. Thanks in advance.
I came here a few times to sell my things with my sister and had nothing but a positive experience. The staff here were young but were very helpful and courteous. I'm not disappointed that they took only half of my stuff (some things aren't "trendy" apparently). It is a thrift store at the end of the day, they need to make money too so understandably, they have to be selective with what they buy from you. I like the layout of the store, things were easy to find and tagged and overall, the place was clean and tidy. Would come here and try my luck to sell things again!
I like this store, its clean and staffs are nice and they always smile, everytime you can find at least one great item in a good price, the only point that I don't like is that's not easy to find the clothes you want, you have to search one by one and it makes you frustrated! Wish you had a solution for this problem, finding suitable shoes is ok, but finding clothes is not too easy
Selection is decent, but found items where tags were left on and their price point was higher. For example, there’s a hat with a $2 dollarama tag and they were selling it for $4.so they accepted that but didn’t take any of my brand name clothing. Ok. People working there pretty dismissive and poor attitudes. Won’t be visiting again.
Can not compare this at all to their Newmarket location that we love. Staff ignore you and are rude. Poor selection. Paying more due to location. Really was disappointed with this store. The Newmarket location always gets a 5 star.
Definitely a better shopping experience as a buyer than as a seller. If you're expecting to make top dollar on your used clothing, this is not the place for you. However, if you're looking to make some pocket change and browse their numerous racks, you're at the right place. It is discouraging to be told they did not take some of your items, but you see items with rips, shrunken wool sweaters, broken zippers, missing belts and stains on the racks, but I suppose these things do happen. Also, their racks are crammed, which makes browsing a bit difficult. I have found some great work-wear pieces at great prices (i.e. Babaton pants for $18.) which is great. I'm not an avid thrifter, but I enjoy coming here knowing I don't have to shift through many "duds, " to find a "gem, " so to say.
One of the better plato's closets, they try their best to stay organized and always try to greet you whenever it's not busy. I've sold to them a number of times and they always take more than half of what I'm bringing in.
