Pleasant Ridge Library

Cute little library. Great location. Can get really busy sometimes but my kids enjoy going there.

You should change the name to Pleasant Ridge Daycare. Toddlers and highschoolers run around. There is only one spot to study in which is the Quiet space.that place is also used for programs for children. If i got outside the room, there are Toddlers Screaming and highschool kids "chilling". Instead of management being smart and thinking to themselves they cannot host any more programs due to lack of space for ACTUAL READING, they choose to use the only space remaining for children by kicking out the adult. The library has lost its function. Shame on you.

There is a community center and library together. There is a playground and fountain behind the library, and parking is convenient.

Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well organized. Lots of great books, and dvd's for all ages. Lots of activities for young children.

Love this little library in thornhill woods. I can hold books through the VaughanPL app, get them delivered to and pick up here. Decent amounts of updated magazines to choose from. Agreed, this library is a bit noisier. To address that, a small quiet glass room has been set up right at the entrance. Lastly I wish for longer opening hours esp on weekends… of coz, it’s all down to $ budget.

We love this library even it's just our first visit here (it's far from where we live). The environment is very inviting. The windows are all from ceiling down to ground, allowing lots of natural lights in. There are outdoor reading areas, it feels like very cozy cafe style too! The washroom is very kid-friendly! There are toys for little ones to explore, some sensory toys too! There are big tables for groups to work on. Crayons were provided as well!

Great library and great staff that will help you with any questions you have and also will help you search for a book if they don't have it there. Quick self checkout for books is a great asset. Quiet study room and laptops and computers are all on hand to use. Got myself a library card which I hadn't had since 91 lol. It was easy to get and now me and my son go and have some quiet time if we can't get it at home haha.

Staff are great but need more supervision to keep the grown-ups in-check during story time. People won’t stop talking and will show up late to story-time and will sit in front of little kids. My son was just getting comfortable with story time when a lady with an infant sat in front of him. Did not understand what I tried telling her but my son had already become uncomfortable and checked-out of story time. Please have someone watch what is going on during story time. It’s really not worth leaving the house for this frustration.

The library is small but staff are super helpful, patient and polite. I visit the library frequently and never was disappointed.

The Vaughan public library at this location has few kids activities like matching the items, blocks, counting and stuff. There was even a small, live turtle in there. Kids love it. There are a few computers with learning games for kids.

The location is great because it has a very nice kids play area outside, there is an Upper Canada community daycare as well. There is a North Thornhill fitness centre, but I guess you need membership. The swimming pool here is one of the best in comparison to other nearby community pools.

There is ample parking.
