Amazing bubble tea at a reasonable price and very generous with the toppings. I love that the flavours are unique and have never seen the spritzer version of bubble tea at other places. The dim sum is also very tasty with so many choices. I love that they have a stamp card to save on your future purchases. Highly recommend this place!

I just ordered from Pomelo Hat for the first time via UberEats and I am SO impressed. The order arrived quickly and it tastes delicious and its HEALTHY. This will be my new go-to place for smoothie bowls!

Amazing service! Eventhough, they do not have a phone number listed, I contacted them via messaging and OMG the best prompt response and free drink I got. On the plus side, the bubble tea was delicious!

I've only ordered through uber eats, never been in person yet. But the food is awesome! Great vegan and vegetarian options. Awesome portion sizes, and really fresh food. The customizable acai bowls are my go to.

FANTASTIC. This is my absolute top pick for tea. Menu is updated frequently to have interesting flavours, the freshest fruits and seasonal goodies. Great vari-tea and breakfast options as well. Prices are cheap compared to everything around and they have a new loyalty card too if you're looking for a deal. I can't gush enough. Staff is friendly and everything is customizable if need be.
The photo is the "amethyst" something I believe, very pretty, tastes like summer.

I am a fan of this local business. The panko tofu bowl was delicious, and I order smoothies from them all the time.

Love the Bubble Tea, gotta say there aren't many places that make really good tasting and fresh bubble tea. I also liked the vegetarian options for food, seasoned well and tasted amazing. Would definitely come back some time soon. I also liked the vegetarian options for food.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Love everything I have tried here, and we come often. The sesame tofu poke bowl is amazing. Food is fresh and healthy and flavour combinations are great. My kids also agree that this is the best bubble tea in town. Even though we have moved away from Ottawa they still ask to come to Pomelo Hat whenever we return for a visit.

I ordered a passion fruit mango tango smoothie without tapioca and it’s very good! Excellent portion and price:)

I had a really good Hokkaido Milk Tea here! Great taste, well prepared. Super helpful staff and we got our drinks in just a few minutes. I'll remove 1 star due to their straw choice. While I agree we should reduce plastic waste the straws we were provided with didn't even last until our drink was consumed and isn't ideal for sucking pearly from the bottom of our drink. More research needed, so to speak. That said, still recommend this place and will come back.

Just tried the poke bowls and they are really delicious and filling. I got a small umami sesame and it was huge. Fresh and not too saucy.

Ordered from UberEats during the lockdown MANY times. The best bubble tea in Ottawa and even better smoothies. The staff are incredibly kind in person and are always willing to offer advice on the best items to try.

The staff were so incredibly nice (they gave us free cookies and offered to walk our order out to us once it was ready, if we wanted to wait in our car!). The bubble teas were delicious, and there were so many flavour options. You can choose your ice/sweetness level, and they have vegan milk alternatives - I loved to see all the vegetarian/vegan options (although the veggie dumplings were admittedly pretty plain; next time, I will be getting something else). They also have compostable straws, which I haven't seen at other bubble tea places. You can order online so you don't have to wait in-store, and they have a stamp card system - I will definitely be coming back!

Great spot! This is my favourite bubble tea place in Ottawa, even though I don’t like pearls, tapioca, or any bits in my beverage. I haven’t tried any of the other items on the menu, but am meaning to.

Worth a visit!

I was waiting for the jackfruit sandwiches to come back but the new vegan poké bowls are pretty incredible. Although the sandwiches are amazing too. Such a great place!

Instacart shopper here. I’ve delivered bagfuls of frozen fruit to this establishment, and the owner didn’t even tip a single dime. Instacart defaults the tip to 5% automatically. That means the owner manually went in and changed it. I don’t get how some people can’t even spare a single dime. That is very cruel

With so many bubble tea places cropping up, you may find it difficult to choose where to go. May I suggest - HERE! They have one of the best menus I have come across (seriously I was able to choose form 4 different types of chai-teas), good customer service, and it's a LOCAL business, not a chain.

Located right on Bank street, Pomelo Hat gives other bubble tea joints in Ottawa such as Chatime, Sip Tea and even Meow tea and rung of their money!
They have a huge selection of bubble teas to choose from and carry a wide variety of bowls with a make your own option as well.
They are prices reasonably and the packing materials used steady. They even offer stares made from recycled sugar cane that makes it that much eco friendly.
All in all, a definite visit!

Best bubble tea in town! Love that they have so many vegan options, especially for milk tea. The mango slush boba is also delicious! The employees are really sweet and give great service. Give this place a try:)

I love Pomelo Hat! I love that they have dairy alternatives for their Bubble Teas. I've tried Bubble Tea with their oat milk and it's great. They use more natural ingredients, no powders or artificial flavours. Staff are nice. Love that there's a "healthy" Bubble Tea place in Ottawa.

A very cute little shop, had a Boba Tea and it was probably the best I've had in all of Ottawa. Extremely friendly staff and the idea of a loyalty card is very nice. The chocolate included with the tea is also a very nice touch, if you're going down bank I definitely recommend getting a drink here

I ordered from here via Ubereats on a whim and I’m so glad I did. This is my new favourite place to order from. You can tell that they make their food with care & really put thought into what they offer. When I received the food everything was packaged so nicely & the little details they’ve added didn’t go unnoticed. The ingredients are fresh and everything tasted wonderful. I’m so happy that I’ve found a new local restaurant to support:)

The staff is SO SWEET. The atmosphere is honestly very good. They have a reusable straw option and try to be the most eco friendly possible which i really appreciate as a boba lover. It also helps that their bubble tea is genuinely amazing.

I love this place! I've ordered from them through door dash and I've gone in person several times and the drinks are always amazing! Additionally the staff are always so kind and friendly whenever we go in person. It's definitely my new favourite place to get bubble tea!

I ordered a few treats for someone through Uber and had requested a personal note. They hand wrote the note in such a creative beautiful style along with a few illustrations on the paper bag that held the food. That was such a special touch and greatly appreciated. I chose this place because of its vegan offerings and was told the food was also delicious. Thank you very much guys, happy Valentine's Day. Keep up the great work.

I've been here a number of times over the last year, and this has turned into one of my favourite places in town. It's a big menu, but absolutely everything has been excellent. Staff there are incredibly nice and helpful, and it's obvious that everything here is made with love.

Their smoothie bowls have always been very delicious and healthy, full of toppings.

However, I have to say I wasn’t satisfied with bubble teas every time I got them.
They were always watery and faint in taste.
I put in some condensed milk and it seemed to help a little.
Their tapioca pearls are good.

I was giving my feedback based on how I usually get my bubble tea (no ice, less sugar) at any bubble tea locations. I usually find 100% sugar to be too sweet at many places. Since I have them indoor with good cool temperature during pandemic, I always enjoy them the way I get them and don’t have problems with it.
The ice would also melt over time and make it watery-er.
The bubble tea from Pomelo Hat I received was also nice and cold.

If things are a little different at Pomelo Hat and people wouldn’t enjoy their drink as much with slight alterations than suggested while they do at other bubble tea shops, may I suggest making a note of that for people to be aware?

Anyhow, I will try your suggestion the next time I visit Pomelo Hat and see if that helps!

I cannot recommend Pomelo Hat highly enough! I went in just over a week ago, having never tried boba before, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful in letting me find the perfect flavours for me to enjoy. I am now addicted, I have already been back three more times (seriously, it’s addictive!) the flavours are so fresh and the staff are so friendly that it’s a great experience in every aspect, it’s more important than ever to support local businesses in this time, and this shop is more than worth it! I highly recommend the valentines special of the Lychee Rose Lemonade Spritzer (pictured with my review:) ) ️

I absolutely LOVE this place, it’s an amazing local find I discovered last summer and let me tell you I’m a weekly customer but truly their bubble tea is fantastic and they are the kindest most caring staff that I’ve ever met. The workers truly treat everyone with kindness and are just the sweetest people ever. If you’re looking to support some local spots, this should definitely be on your list!
