I had a booking today for 10: 30. I called to mention I'm stuck in traffic and will be 10mins late. When I reached there was no one at the front desk. The groomer was busy with another dog at the back. I called out to him and called on the phone multiple times as he couldn't hear me calling with all the noise. After around 5 mins he said he will be out in sometime. We waited and he came out saying I'm 20 mins late and he cannot take the appointment. He was overbooked with appointments for 10 and 11 AM as well. I don't know how one person was supposed to finish one complete grooming in 30 mins. Highly dissatisfied with the way they manage the booking. My dog did not want to get into the place when I reached there and when he said he could reschedule I did not want to try my luck with this place again. I called another place and took him there instead. If they did not have a slot available, they shouldn't have given an appointment in the first place. We traveled all the way and waited for him to tell he cannot do it. I'll never go to this place again.

I DO NOT post negative reviews however this mother and daughter are the rudest people in the service industry I have ever encountered. Instead of apologizing they both dismissed me and tried to humiliate me in front of other clients and staff
because I commented i called many times and left messages and no one has ever called me back. TANYA sarcastic comments are unbelievable condescending.

The owner Tanya and her mother were absolutely horrific to deal with.

TANYA IS THE WORST business owner I had ever met in any service industry. Could you imagine being dismissed? NO CLASS.

Let me share my experiences.

I called this store 9 times and left 7 messages. No one called back. I was informed by Tanya's mother she is there from 9 a.m to 1 pm and returns all phone calls. I informed her it was not the case. I also informed her there are 2 phone numbers and showed her.she was clueless and gave me excuses.

Today I had an appointment to have my dog re-rgoromed. I called the store advising I would be 10 minutes late. No ANSWER agsin. When I arrived the mother said Oh.
The groomer didn't come in today. My response; I didn't receive a phone advising me and I called at exactly 1205pm but no answer. She was so rude. Instead of apologizing, I cannot say what she said online to me. Basically I will say that she wanted to speak to me in private. My response, you can speak to me in front of customers. She said no. Then TANYA stepped in and started shall we say comments that I cannot share. SHE'S A PITBULL.

I did have my dog re-groomed with Enrique. Excellent groomer. Shortly after I left I received a phone stating that if I did not pick up my dog within 1 hour they would charge me an extra 50.00 per hour. My dog is 3 lbs and sits in a carrier bag.

I indicated it was a re-groom and I only left 30 minutes ago. Instead of apologizing she was adament about charging me. Interesting how TANYA had her staff call me.

IF YOU EVER WANT TO BE BULLIED, INSULTED, AND DISMISSED make sure you visit this store and TANYA and her MOTHER will be delighted to disrespect you.

My dog is a rescue and was abused. I really appreciate that they took the time to make her comfortable and relaxed to cut her nails.

Enrique is always so kind and patient with my little Frenchie who hates having his nails trimmed. I think they are actually becoming friends. Thank you Enrique!

The staff at Pooches n’ Pals are absolutely incredible. They are kind, and you can see they truly love the dogs they groom. I have a dog who has a lot of anxiety, and I would never take my dog anywhere else. The staff are extremely patient with my dog, and accommodate her moody and anxious self. Thank you for everything you do! You are heaven sent and I appreciate your love for all the dogs that come in!

I brought my toy poodle to get groomed with Enrique. I specifically told him to ONLY trim the coat and he practically shaved my dog and I asked for the teddy bear cut I’m still trying to figure out what teddy bear looks like this. He cut everything but his legs and ears and it all doesn’t match and doesn’t look good at all. Now I have to wait MONTHS for my dogs hair to grow back. I’m extremely dissatisfied and annoyed at the quality of work. Also to make it worse their shop is filthy!

Very disappointed with Tanya and the team at Pooches N’ Pals. We took our dog to the grooming salon and requested a simple trim and nail cutting, but I was charged $100 for a spa package that was not requested. Beyond that, the groomer, Enrique, cut our little dog on her side (there is still a scab where she was hurt), in addition to shaving her tail and fur much closer than we asked for. This made our sweet girl anxious and traumatized. The appointment took an hour and a half, which caused us to worry and upon me picking her up, we were not notified of the incident that had happened. After messaging the owner directly, reaching out to the Pooches N’ Pals business page, and speaking to the receptionist on the phone, no apology or explanation was given. In addition, we were told that someone would follow-up with us, but when checking back the next day after launching a complaint, the business had blocked us on Messenger. On top of all this, after the negative experience, they proceeded to post a photo of our dog with her image and name on their social media pages to promote their services without our consent. It is unfortunate to have to leave a negative review for any business, but out of the wellness of your pet, I feel it is my duty to share this unacceptable experience for others and warn you to not take them there if you care about your pet like a family member, because in my experience the owner here prioritizes profits over pups.

Has the ownership changed recently? My most recent trip was nothing like previous trips. The cut was alright but it took forever and my dog came back scared by the experience.

Snoopy is a Yorkie Rescue and had been abused so a biter. If he doesn’t know you can be a challenge. Enriqay did a great job. Like Snoopy’s mustache

Took my dog Penny here for the first time the other day. We had a bad experience with Petsmart a few years back and so we've been wary of going to groomers since then. But I'm so glad we found Pooches n' Pals because they did a great job and took care of my precious girl. She looks (and smells) great and she was not stressed out when I picked her up! Thanks again - we will definitely be repeat customers!

This family owned business is a rare find! They are all such genuinely kind, sweet, and patient individuals! I had accidentally mismanaged my appointments TWICE in a row and felt soooo guilty and was super apologetic about it and they were able to remain kind, professional, and accommodating BOTH times! I’m so impressed with their patience and humble attitude! Couldn’t be more grateful for how they handled the situation!

From booking to pick up this was a great experience. Our Charlie is not the easiest to bathe and dry, but Enrique was patient and amazing with him.

Horribly unprofessional and downright disrespectful! I would give negative stars if I could! Updated review based on our visit in April, 2023. I don’t bring my pup for grooming often. He’s a wired hair JRT and only needs a clean up in the Spring. The last time I visited and requested a shear, Enrique who was the groomer was very aggressive. He scolded me for what he said was mistreatment of my dog (because according to Enrique, Jacks shouldn’t be groomed this way). He raised his voice and told me I should only get a hand trim. I’m not a dog groomer. I don’t know the terms, so I was very taken aback that he would address me as if I should know and he would be so disrespectful in his approach. He was rude and when I said defended myself, another person (I’m presuming the owner or possibly manager) came over and started talking over him, telling me what she thought he was saying and how I should understand it. I should have left then but Enrique had already taken my pup to the back and started the service when this woman came up. I went to sit in my car for about 30 minutes while the service was being done. When I came back in, I began speaking with another young lady at the front about how I felt, at which point yet another groomer came to the front, hands on her hips, defensive body language and just glared at me while I spoke. I was very upset by the encounter which is why I didn’t post till now. I would not recommend this place and will never go back! Also, they continued to spam me via email and text through their impersonal promotions to try to get me to book the next appointment (even though I explicitly expressed my displeasure and that I would not return and asked them to take me off all contact lists).

Molly has been coming here for 18 months. We have always been pleased with her groom. Staff has always been very professional, highly recommend Pooches an’ Pals.

My standard poodle was groomed yesterday by Fatima. I could not be happier. She followed all directives and same for his last grooming session. She is attentive, sensitive to our dog's needs and gentle with our dog.

I really liked my first visit! My dog is a small, VERY excited little dude with long hair and they not only tolerated him, but genuinely seemed to enjoy him. They also got him looking and smelling fabulous, and the cut is holding better (is that even a thing?) than some others he's gotten done.

Parking was a worry of mine. But there are some parking spots right in front of the shop, on Lakeshore. There were several available both when I came to drop him off, and pick him up. It was great.

I'll definitely be bringing him back. Looking forward to it!

So grateful for Pooches and Pals! My wooly Siberian Husky has so much fur, and it gets impacted in the spring … they spend so much time working through her beautiful fur, and do their best to keep her from getting too stressed out.

Pooches n pals always does an outstanding job! My dog has been seeing Tanya for years and I wouldn’t trust him with anyone else. They truly go above and beyond and make you and your pet feel like family. Thank you for all you do Tanya and the team!
