I can’t say enough about how much we appreciate Pool Mates. When we first moved in to our new home with a pool, Graham came by and took the time to show us how everything worked and answered all of the questions we had. He is extremely knowledgeable and to this day, I can ask him a specific question over the phone about our pool and he’ll know what we’re talking about! As new pool owners, we feel extremely confident leaving our pool care in the hands of Pool Mates.

This weekend, Pool Mates came to open the pool and while they were opening the pool, they must have noticed our soiled patio cushions (we took them out the day before for the season and realized some raccoons got to them). They took the time to power wash them and give them a good clean. So considerate and always going above and beyond. We always recco pool mates for this reason and will continue doing so!

I am extremely satisfied with the service at this location. They know everything there is to know about pools and are very reasonably priced. They do water testing on the spot, chlorine refills, and pump repair to name a few. I have been coming here for 3 years now, and I have to give a shout-out to MARTIN he may single handedly the reason I come here! This guy is a wizard!

The most unprofessional ignorant staff I have ever dealt with. The owner basically yelled go somewhere else when I was upset with the attitude over the phone from one of the staff. Booked a pool opening and they never showed and then told me they're very busy but will try to come when they can. Had them come for a few minutes about twice after that and still the pool wasn't fully opened so had family help to do it They don't keep any record of anything on file and most of the staff I've dealt with are young and not very knowledgeable. I will never deal with them again and do not recommend.

Great store with lots of supplies, they also test water on the spot. If your looking for guidance and answered questions look somewhere else, after they test your water they will recommend the stuff you need and it ends there, if you ask for some help you might get the same answer I received, read the instructions or there are instructions on the back. Customer service is less then 1 star, 2 stars for the over all store and supply.

I've been here a couple of times now and honestly don't think I've had a better retail experience anywhere. The staff immediately offer to help and all know what they're talking about. I had some strange questions and requirements since I'm retrofitting an ancient hot tub. They were incredibly patient and helpful. To show the level of knowledge, i was checking out once and one of their hundreds of different 2" fittings wasn't scanning. Another guy looked over his shoulder and instantly called out a 5 or so digit number for the part.it's a bit of a drive, but I'll be buying everything we need from there in the future.

They helped me locate a repair person for my pool. Fantastic service. During the lockdown you could park and take out chlorine jugs and an employee would take them from you by your car and refill them.
No appointments necessary.

Price quoted via email was at first and amount that became $10 more expensive. They reluctantly honoured the price variance, per the email but no carry out offered.

Very helpful staff. Did an excellent job of opening the pool and installing a heater. Cleaned up the pool deck area which was unexpected as previous pool companies did not do.

First time going here - May 6 2021. Was sent by Maytronics for a warranty repair to an automatic pool cleaner. I called first on the phone and spoke with Matt who was extremely personable, friendly and knew what he was talking about, and said to drop off the unit and all items that came with it. This was very helpful as I would not want to not bring a piece that they need.

Pulled up to the store after 4pm and was greeted by a staff member who came outside to see how he can help. I explained the situation and he brought the Pentair out of the car and into the shop. This was nice initiative and five star service. There were other staff members floating around and they all came over and to my surprise started working right away on the unit to determine the issue. They got right on it.

While this was happening, met Matt and had wonderful conversations with him on a variety of subjects including water management and the pool world. He is professional and a very nice guy. Was going to leave, expecting to pick up the unit another day, when the guys said to hang on for a few more minutes as they were able to determine the issue and had it fixed. What a pleasant surprise. They fully took the time to explain what was done and how it was repaired. There was absolutely no rushing and they patiently answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable.

They have for sure picked up a new customer and I will certainly recommend this store and staff to everyone who asks my opinion. From the first contact to the customer service to completion, this place is great.

Encountered a ridiculously unsafe driver speeding on Kingston rd, cutting cars, being impatience while promoting your business? !? ! Wow! Is that how you want to promote your business.

This place needs to be more committed to their commitment. I opened a new pool, then went for water check. After checking, they suggested me what to use in the water. So, I bought everything as per their suggestion. Since I’m a new pool owner, they said they will send someone to demonstrate how to use those and balance everything in the pool water. The guy took my phone number, address and was supposed to send someone on the same week. It’s now 5th week running, still no show up.
Commitment is very poor!

They have all the supplies and the expertise but the best part is the customer service, they always remember you and go out of the way to serve their customers.

Great place run by friendly people. I am always impressed by how honest and professional the team is. They always gave me the best advise possible and never tried to make me spend more than I need to. It is by far the best pool service company I have dealt with.

Very knowledgeable staff. Friendly. If you come prepared with your situation and have pictures on your phone and descriptions of your problems, they can fix it. Accurate water tests. Amazing store.

Matt was very helpful in selecting the appropriate heater for our pool. He was friendly, understanding and patient. The installers were professional, polite, and paid great attention to detail. A great experience.

Time is 6: 15pm Feburary 22, just passed exit 497. Who ever was driving the work truck slow it down and behave like a normal person. If your going to advertise your company logo, drive the speed limit not 150km. Think you can understand this or do I need to call it in. Get it together

Impressive product knowledge, worked hard to fix a tough issue. Refunded a product that wasn't right for my needs without question. Friendly and reasonably priced.

Very friendly, knowledgeable staff who can answer any questions you have and help you get just what you need. I also dealt with Gavin, the fellow they recommended to rebuild/ repair my spa motor. He has been in the business for a long time and knows what he is doing. I will keep going back there as long as they are in business.

BEWARE

Used these guys for a few years. All was good. This year they show up to open my pool, without a pump, and without my filters. I ask, “where the pump? How are we going to vacuum? I was sorry that they forgot my filters, and the pump, and they don’t vacuum anymore.

A week later pool is still green and unusable. Matt the owner said to come in and buy more chemicals, which I did.

A week later, still green. I informed him many times, but still no help. I hired someone else to complete the opening and vacuum the pool. Next morning, it’s crystal clear.

Now 5 months later, they jam a charge to my visa card, which I did not authorise, that they had on file from years ago. I have notified RBC visa, and they assure me they will have it reversed. Nice work guys.

DO NOT give these people your Credit card info.

I've been using them for 8 years. They know what they're talking about, they even did extra pool maintenance on my liner at no cost when they came to set up my pool.
