Good stop when you are in a hurry and need a not-so-unhealthy protein fix.

Stay away from this place, i went there once and got sick right after that, also had friends that liked the place but after getting too many uncooked chicken and one time they ordered water got the bottled water that was stored beside the fridge vent the water was very warm, the staff didn't care.i wish that i had called public health inspection.but since i will never go back i hope someone else that gets uncooked chicken does call

Horrible experience at Popeyes on Hunt Club Rd. Ottawa. Just had my Uber Eats order dropped off: missing all the biscuits & drinks, and none of this special instructions were followed. Some people have allergies and need to be careful. Now we have a disappointed 6 year old, and missing a considerable portion of what we paid for. And the perfect topper: nobody answers the phone, and their voicemail isn’t set up. Always open to great feedback, aren’t they?

Manager isn’t qualified for the job. Ignores the customer’s criticism. Isn’t open to cope about the situation. Got served 5 pieces of chicken, most of them were rotten and had an unusual color. I Asked to replace them. And he insisted that there’s nothing wrong with them. He didn’t bother to even look at them at the first place

Probably the best fast food I have ever tried. The quality of the chicken seems to surpass other places.

My parents like popeyes and we go whenever they visit from Montreal. Been going here for at least a year and sometime now. Since the beginning of the Summer though, the food has been absurdly bad! 2 months ago, we order a family meal with chicken that was obviously re-fried! The oil was condensed between the skin and flesh and it tasted fishy (anyone who knows food would know that it was refried in old oil). We thought its a one time thing. Last Saturday, we went again and ordered chicken sandwiches. AGAIN, the chicken was obviously refried, and it had large chucks of batter that felt like chewing dough! I don't expect my food to be made to order, but I also don't expect to be served old, refried chicken. I am only giving two stars because their service was fast and the cashier was super friendly.

It wasn't too busy (approximately four to six patrons in the entire restaurant at the time) but the wait was very long in my opinion. Over 15-17 minutes to get two hot chicken sandwiches and two orders of chicken tenders.

I've been back several times and it's still incredibly slow service. This is not fast food by any stretch. However, there is no other better tasting chicken sandwich or chicken tenders anywhere that I know of. So if I have to wait a little longer, I will. It's just that good! Popeye's is the best chicken game in town. Please tell me if there is something better! Four stars instead of five for the time spent waiting.

Food prep takes forever. I've largely switched to Mary Brown's because their gravy and taters is amazing.

Last night I tried to get Popeyes about 20 minutes to close they told me the chicken had been out too long and they couldn't sell us anything. Didn't offer any non-chicken options either. Pretty sure staff just felt like they were done for the evening 20 minutes before closing.

Just walked right out. Not enough employees one at the cash and one at the back. The guy at the back “cook” brooms and cleans the floor doesn’t even change his gloves. Disgusting

I want to understand why they are putting such a huge salt on their food? Who told them to do so
Please reduce the SALT

Absolute worst Popeyes in Canada. Lived coast to coast and the service, quality of food and attitude of the staff are insanely terrible here.
I have stopped eating Popeyes in Ottawa because of the terrible service of this location. Whomever owns this location should be ashamed and be more involved in their business and its daily operations.

Went after work to get supper for the family and ordered an extra order of butterfly shrimp, which I did not get. Only found out after I got home. Not impressed.

No food ready when they open, they had to close again and reopen over an hour later. You’re better off never choosing this Popeyes

It was pretty busy so I waited around 15 minutes for a meal. Wasn't too upset until they also forgot my dipping sauce. The service/people working were fantastic.

Hi, this location is the best location on Ottawa and all people there are so kind and helpful, specially Ben, he is really nice guy. He served me last time, thank you Ben, I highly recommend that location.

The cashers usually forget pass order to system and keep people waiting for more than 40 minutes

They gave us old fried chicken. The taste is different and meat was very tough. Very disappointed in Popeyes located in Hunt Club Ottawa

The quality of food is awesome. But the servers are not paying attention to your orders. In several occasions I went home and realized I have missing sides such as sauces, french fries or biscuits. Bottom line make sure you always count your ordered items.

The chicken is good but you just have to be prepared for terrible service.pretty much everytime. Today it took about 25 minutes to get my order and of course it was wrong, like usual. It seems to be a combo of incompetence and apathy. I advise you to check your order before leaving.always, or you'll be disappointed when you get home. I used to go there regularly but now it's only 2 or 3 times a year.

Unprofessional service. I show up at 9: 25. Which is 35 minutes before closing. Somebody walks in store in fromt of me And then the employee does not let me in and locks me out.

Not sure why we had to wait 15 mins for 4pcs chicken wen warmer was overflowing with at least 100pcs. Another client waiting for 8pcs had remind the staff, why 4 other clients including me got served before her. Staffs are polite but seem very lost.

This place is the definition of ratchet, staff are on their cell phones whiles taking your order and act like you're interrupting them, absolutely no politeness what so ever

In all seriousness though, I don't think they've ever done my order correctly. It's either missing stuff, the wrong stuff, or BOTH.

Got some chicken and it was so salty it was unbelievable. The rice was swimming in sauce, but the biscuits were good though. It didn't use to be like this. I won't be going there again.

Chicken is very good. But after I was told that it is not halal. Is your chicken halal and if so is there a certificate.please reply back if possible. Thank you.

Walked in and you're they aren't open yet, door was unlocked, no sign saying closed, hours online said they were open 20 minutes ago. Not great service.

I think it sucks I don't go there very often and everytime I go there is never and of the strips like really and I'd was only1140. The sides are garbage. Oh and try to get a napkin well good luck. Maybe that is why they can't afford to buy the chicken strips. However they do have a good selection of dipping sauce.

Can't say much bad about the food it was very tasty.but the staff needs a happy pill they all look and acted grumpy

Long wait for food. We were very disappointed with the food as it was too greasy. The portions are large but since we knew that we would.not eat the 'left overs", we just threw out what we didnt eat. Too bad really, as this was our first experience at this establishment. Also, the service was nothing special.

I usually love popeyes but this time I waited 20 minutes, they lost my slip, mixed up other people's orders, when they finally made my burger then my poutine they couldn't find my burger.that's when I asked for màqaày money back and they didnt know how to do that 89

They are always out of either spicy or mild chicken tenders, why is a chicken place not able to forecast how much chicken they need? Once gave me stale popcorn shrimp instead of butterfly, very disappointed.

Went out of my way to come here for lunch. Arrived at 11: 15 to closed doors. This place is supposed to be open at 10: 30, so it looks like I just wasted my lunch time.

Pretty consistent out of products. Service is incredibly slow. I would suggest driving the extra 5-10 mins to go to the college square one.

The food is so good, but the service is always so awful. It's a chicken restaurant that often doesn't have chicken ready. You serve one thing dudes.

I’ve always loved Popeyes chicken. I think I’ve been to this location on four separate occasions. While I’m not one to write negative reviews, this particular location continues to disappoint. I’ve only actually eaten there on one occasion. The other three times I turned around and left because they were out of what I had ordered. Today I was told the chicken tenders would be a while. I asked how long “a while” was. I was told “a while”. I turned to leave, but thought it would be worth speaking to a manager. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to. “Not yet. ” Excuse me?
The one time I DID eat there, the service was painfully slow and the food was mediocre. I really do wish they’d get their act together. Popeyes is awesome, I just wish I could get some from this location.

This place struggles to serve their customers in a timely manner, the problem is amplified during peak meal times. If you do go at a peak times, expect to wait up to 30 minutes for your food.

During my most recent visit I waited 10 minutes in line just to be told they didn't have the food I wanted. Better communication in the form of a sign on the door or similar would have been an easy way to handle that without wasting people's time.

The food at this location really is quite delicious but in light of all of the service problems it's impossible to recommend this location.

Very good fresh spicy chicken. Not greasy like so many others. Tasty with a surprising amount of zing. Excellent choice.

Terrible place to eat! Every garbage was overflowing, tables were dirty, food all over the seats and floor. Just gross!

HI everyone. I just wanna share with you that I worked popeyes for a couple days, 3 months back, and I have never got baid. I contacted with them so many times, their manager responded my texts and asked all my information, all the ID, s I got and my sin number and my bank account info, as he was going to pay me. Since that day I text him asking my money and he says "what money are u talking about? " As if my issue is new to him. Then I would start explaining for him again. Till today I am still waiting to get paid for my hours. I dont know what to do.

I have all our text msges and I will post them officially If I am not get solution. Please, dear people tell me what to do

Not much attention is paid to clean the tables, replenish tissue papers in the dispenser and the staff doesn't even bother to offer you any help. All I got was a blank look when I approached the counter to get a tissue paper from an unorganized pile on the side. The ladies on the cash register though seemed efficient. Some amount of cleanliness and a more friendly service would be much appreciated. Quality of fried chicken not bad. Overall experience not very positive.

This location hasn't had chicken tenders in 2 months. Quite poorly managed and slow I'd recommend finding somewhere else.

Worst customer service! Went there twice once when it opened.it was horrible then and horrible now.

Both time ended up asking for refund. Went to college square location no complaints food served fast as it should. GO TO COLLEGE SQUARE! Way better service! Smaller space but u are served in sequence!

Always slow service! More standing around then actually serving customers, luckley they weren't rude as well today.

Great food but this location is terrible. For the second time in a row, they are out of EVERYTHING except one type of chicken and fries. They have a sign at the cash that they’ve been adding to since last week. Don’t waste your time.

Service sucks they make u feel like they are doing you a favor by cooking the food. Liked it at first but now. I won't go to the place I will do without. Very bad customer service
