Terrible staff unsafe food practices didn't purchase anything canevin saw how they mix the old chicken in with the new and left.

Their chicken is quite good for a fast food joint.just not very fast. I suppose my only real gripe is that the fries are often old. The chicken is a little better than their chicken competition.
For the amount of food you get, it's fairly reasonably priced.

I got really sick one hour later from eating food bought here. I am noticing a huge increase in illness due to Ontario's fast food joints. Illness I never had growing up in the 90s. Just another item on the list of Canada's never ending problems.

Before setting off on my trip to Thunder Bay, I decided to make a pitstop at Popeyes, primarily because I knew they offered Halal chicken. Little did I know that this visit would turn out to be an unexpected delight.

The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a level of service that exceeded my expectations. The staff was not only friendly but also exceptionally efficient. They made sure to take care of every detail of my order with a smile, setting a positive tone for my dining experience.

The cleanliness of the restaurant also stood out. The environment was impeccably neat and well-maintained, which immediately put me at ease. It's rare to find a fast-food joint that pays such attention to cleanliness, and it was a refreshing change.

One of the standout features of this Popeyes location was its convenient drive-through service. With my schedule for the trip, this was a blessing. I didn't have to leave the comfort of my car, yet I received the same exceptional service as those dining inside.

As for the food, I decided to go for the 8-piece chicken meal with a spicy flavor. To my pleasant surprise, it took them just 3-4 minutes to prepare my order. When I bit into the chicken, I was in for a treat. It was piping hot and incredibly flavorful, with a perfect blend of spices. I opted for thighs and legs, and they were juicy and tender.

Not only did I enjoy my meal, but my kids also relished their food, particularly the delectable fries. I paired my meal with a fountain drink, and what made it even better was the offer of unlimited refills.

To top it all off, even the restrooms were spotlessly clean, which is often overlooked but greatly appreciated by customers.

In conclusion, I can't help but applaud the entire team at this Popeyes location for providing such an outstanding dining experience. It's not every day that you come across a fast-food restaurant that excels in both service and food quality. This stopover turned out to be a memorable and delicious start to my Thunder Bay trip.

Got the four piece platter. Ordered to go. Instead of putting my chicken in an appropriately sized bag, it was placed sideways and leaked the bottom of the bag and on to my car seat. Instead of putting fries in respective fry bag looks like they just added the little fry bag afterwards into the second brown bag. Despite poor and rushed execution the food is still fully cooked and satisfying for the price of $20. Chicken is hot, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Service 1/5, Food 4/5

The only reason for stars is because the chicken sandwich is good and is not fried with the shrimp etc.

However we got the 8 piece family meal and it tasted very fishy: (.

The service is always beyond slow here as well.

Worst service ever. The girl at the cash was very rude. We were there 20 minutes before the store closes to do a take out and she refused to let us use the washroom when asked.

Raw chicken they argue it isn't I know Raw chicken when I see it pieces we're really big so they weren't cooked long enough

I bought chicken tender 5 pieces with puttien and I found three pieces uncooked! I am out of city and out for work not able to go back same day but mange to go third day and mentioned to that same lady manger but she doesn't even care even no response!

I am a fan of their chicken nuggets. So crispy and tasty. They are good when served hot. They also provide good customer service.

This has to be the worst Popeyes I've been to in all of North America. I'm a retired truck driver & I ride a bike. I'm on a tour going to East Coast for 3 months. They are so disorganized there its insane. I waited for over 30mins inside. The line up was out the door. People where walking out, cars that preordered not so much. They had run out of beans & rice at supper time which is not acceptable in any Popeyes restaurant. I talked to 2 customers they where 1st timers. They said they will never go back ever. For myself I will not recommend this place either. I sure hope management gets there act together or Popeyes Canada comes in & retrains this restaurant. The meal was good that I had I'll give them that. ️

Not prepared for small 3pm rush, no spicy chicken ready (again), staff seems abit careless tbh, tables were dirty. Waited 20 mins to recieve order. Probably wont be back unless its evening hrs (8pm) when they seem to have massive excess in chicken and no customers lol

The spicy chicken burger was perfectly breaded on the outside and tender inside.fries were excellent
First time here and very good.
Bathroom was unclean but looks like stuff put there from late night unsavory people.
The rest of the restaurant was sparkling clean!

Food was tasty and hot. Portions were just right for me, not too big and not too small. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Restaurant was clean.

Worst service ever. Always out of something.
Can’t understand any of the order. Will take the order and money and then say oh we don’t have this and that.

Fish was pretty good but they totally forgot my two sides. Disappointed. They said they will write it down and will give me on my next visit. We’ll see if that ever happens.

Update. When I called them I did ask them to deliver through a dash or Uber eats and they said they didn’t use those services. Drove by this week and their sign says “we do Uber eats”. Hmmm

Delicious spicy chicken burger and fries. Drive thru service great. Food was nice and hot still when I got home.

There was some confusion during the ordering process but we got it sorted out eventually. We ordered chicken tenders but didn't get a dipping sauce. The fries and apple pies saved the day for this visit.

Absolutely horrible experience going through the drive through. Couldnt understand the person through the speaker, and when I asked her to repeat herself, she told me to look at the menu sign (which is past the speaker, dumb place, should be before so you can decide before you order.) with a really snotty attitude. I told her I was not going to tolerate being spoken to that way and left before completing my order. I'LL NEVER GO BACK.

Slow service! Skip the dishes were in and out twice while we waited in the drive thru! Do not go to the drive thru

Iv been here a few times and the service is terrible. There hasn't been 1 time I did not wait from 15 to 20min. All the workers have a hard time understanding me all the time and I can't understand them as well making it extremely frustrating.

The chicken to bun ratio of my chicken sandwich was way off. Too much bun, not enough chicken. Otherwise was good.

Went for first visit to Popeye's today. Did not get my side that I paid for and I tried to call them to let them know however conveniently for them their answering service has not been activated and no one answers the phone. I hope they are happy with the money I spent because it won''t be happening again.

They hire people that don't understand what your saying, what they are supposed to be doing, how to use a register and left me sitting in the drive thru for 12 min with my food in the window getting cold while she chased down another guy that didn't pay.never again! The Popeye's in Arkansas Rock!

Popeye's chicken is a great recipe. Their chicken has some flavor to it with your choice of mild or spicy. The staff went out of their way to help you. The restaurant was nice and clean and the bathroom was accessible to the disabled.

The food was great but I was very disappointed to find out there is no change table in their washrooms. Had I have known that we would've gone to a different restaurant.

People posting reviews about the poor service received should realize that the employees are unpaid.

A million times better than KFC. Seems they are a little overstaffed but maybe just because they are new.

Nice atmosphere and very clean. Service is a bit slow but not that bad. Food is hot and very good. Prices no worse than anywhere else. Reasonable. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Went in for a chicken wrap and a fry, shouldn't have taken long considering the fries are already cooked and a wrap shouldn't have taken more than say 5 minutes with wait time. I had people order after me, with larger orders and got their food before I did. I waited almost 15 minutes for two things.fries were good, the wrap didnt taste very good in my opinion

Well I went in excited (first visit). High expectations. I was getting takeout but went inside to order. I ordered a 5 piece tender and a large order of fries for my husband for dinner and his lunch the following day. I asked for 8 pieces of chicken with a large mashed potatoe and gravy for myself and for future sandwiches etc. I guess I should of looked at my receipt because when 264 was called I received my takeout bag and went home only to find I didn't get any mashed potatoes. Lesson learned. I was not charged for them and I suppose the person just didn't punch in all the order. I was not impressed with getting 2 wings 2 legs in a 6 Pack of chicken. Although a 6 pack is what was on my receipt I wanted 8 pieces. For just under 45 bucks I don't think I would go back. Taste test: gravy was a huge no as it had all kinds of stuff in It (chunky bits of spice I suppose). 0Fries were good. Chicken tenders were fine. Chicken pieces were fair with a nice outside crunch but very salty and the chicken was stringy and dry on the inside. All I can say is this is not what I expected at all.

Poorly designed counter service and waiting area. Food is FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS and we'll worth the extra 5 bucks that KFC charges for the sparrows they serve. Popeyes Chicken is huge!

Was so excited to try popeye's but can honestly say we are not impressed. A complete waist of $65. We got the big family meal and some ghost pepper wings. The wings where just ok and not hot at all. The chicken we got half and half and they both tasted burnt or cooked in old oil, and again the spicy chicken had no spicy taste at all. For sides we got the onion rings that were done long before the rest of the dinner and cold and soggy before we even got them, the mac and cheese and it was very bland with little flavor and also cold. The only thing that was pretty good was the mashed potatoes. The biscuits are bland and when I asked the kid calling out orders a question just looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. So if it's all about making a good first impression they failed miserably in all aspects and won't be back any time soon. That's not to say I won't be back ever tho. I would like to give them one more chance down the road in the hopes they can work the bugs out and pull it together as it does have potential. With any luck when I do go back I will be able to change this poor review into a good one. But until then the only recommendation I have is that you save your money.

Chicken was alright, but bring your GOLD, 8 peace chicken a spicy fry and coleslaw almost 40.00. Tried the ghost pepper wings they had no taste and were soggy as well. I had to add my own hot sauce. Wont be back as thur not worth the crazy prices and the worst fries and gravy I ever had. This chain wont last long here.

Good chicken, nasty corn and mac n cheese, shrimp and biscuits rock, still dont have half the menu items consistently.

Staff allowed a dog in the restaurant which was NOT a service dog, they actually took turns petting it. Pretty sure we didn't order chicken with a side order of dog fur. Mac n Cheese was tasteless mush.just gross. They screwed up my son's kids meal 3 times.the last time he just ate it cuz he was hungry and we waited long enough.

Out of Chicken!? Yup, no chicken burgers or chicken fingers. Soft opening or not, one would expect a full menu.

First time eating here. Staff were friendly and efficient. Eating area was clean. Enjoyed my Creole Chicken Sandwich. The produce was fresh and crisp and the bun was delicious, more of a crusty type bread than traditional soft/soggy fast food buns. I did not care for the Red Beans and Rice, it tasted like the smell of dirty feet, but that's just a personal dislike i suppose.

They have been open since about December 22nd. Went there January 12th.absolutely no boneless chicken to be had.only bone in or seafood.
Not happy! Sign was on order counter advising customer.should have been on entrance door!

So salty we each had 3 pieces of chicken tenders and a fry with a biscuit and everything but the pop was salty but good crunchiness on the batter.
