No surprise with the food, after all it’s a franchise and foods are standard.
The cashier though, service was poor. It was not busy at all but she rushed through when we ordered, interrupting me before i finished my sentence for ordering my meals, ended up giving me a wrong order. I don’t bother to tell her to change it as with her attitude, I am concerned what is she gonna do to my food. She was rude.
I ordered 5 pieces chicken tenders and it was my worst experience in fried chicken ever, too much salty and uncooked small portions, I ate one and threw the rest.
Shrink-Flation plus 30% price increase! Tuesday special went from $3.49 to$4.49. What worse is that you are not get the value for your money. Never order daily specials as you will consistently get the smallest piece of chicken. I am disappointed.
Prices higher than normal; between $1-$1.50. A pop refill which costs $0.30 + was turned around so a customer can't refill. There is no standardized system in place. When you have no choice get here and fill your belly. And of course, associates were communicating e in their village tounge.
The food is awesome and the staff is always so welcoming, number 1 in my books. Great hot food and customer service is number 1. We will always come back to this location. Management is amazing
Came on a Tuesday to get the special 2 piece deal. It appears Tuesday is popular day to get Popeyes. So I had to wait 20 minutes for them to make chicken. Place was not really that busy. Did they not think people are gonna order chicken? Seems like the one situation they should have been prepared for.
This was the worst Popeyes experience of my life. I have eaten Popeyes ever since I was a child and I’ve never in my life have gotten bad tasting chicken this is the first time in my life I’ve had to throw out fried chicken. As soon as I took my first piece the chicken had a disgusting smell to it and tasted like it was old chicken, I’m assuming it was left on their shelf for too long. I love Popeyes so I will continue to eat from there but not from this location anymore. 0/5 stars if possible!
The heart wants what the heart wants until what it wants gives it a heart attack. Fried chicken smells crazy good but it's crazy bad for your health. This location is well-managed. Clean and service is good.
Poor customer service. I asked for pickles on my mini sandwich and was told no “ we cannot do that” every other Popeyes adds them when asked no issues. This one said absolutely not even if I paid extra for them. Really bad customer service. Won’t be coming again
Quality of food was extremely poor. Purchased a family meal 10 piece meal and had to throw out all the pieces. Could not eat as it tasted very stale and didn’t smell fresh at all. My kids took 2-3 bites and spit the food out. I sincerely hope corporate will take action and review with management on their quality of food which can potentially get people sick especially younger kids.if I lived closer to this location I would definitely speak with the owner in person and ask if they would serve this quality of food to their own family?
Okay seriously! They refused to add A pickle to my 6 year olds delta mini sandwich because the delta mini doesn’t come with pickles. Every fast food joint allows you to add or omit toppings. The workers flat out refused and said they couldn’t do it. Just ridiculous not to mention extremely cheap!
Stay away from this location. They take forever to get the food ready and the quality is really really bad. They also give extremely small portion sizes and it really isn’t worth it. I’d recommend going to a different location altogether
I ordered the three piece chicken combo. Two pieces of chicken were too small. I understand due to inflation you may have to make decisions to stay profitable. However, either you inform customers or increase your price to provide the same standard sizes you were providing. This is just outright unethical and fraud.
I ordered the bucket and it came with no cole slaw and I swear the grease was dripping like anything. I swear to god do not go this KFC location, It is the worse ever
Been visiting this location for 3+ years. Fried chicken has been consistently fresh and delicious. The owner is present often and I can tell these guys change the oil a lot as it tastes fresh.
I would say this location is one the best ran Popeyes locations in Markham.
I would recommend Popeyes if you’re a junk fan. These are easy and lite enough for a snack. For me, Popeyes is a yes if it’s 3 a.m and you’re in the middle of a monopoly game. It’s a good choice!
I’ve stopped myself from leaving a bad review on three occasions prior to today only because the owner is a very nice gentleman. However, this has become one of the worst Popeyes in Markham. Every time I go here, I have to wait 10-15 minutes. You’d expect the chickens and fries will be fresh, but even after 15 minutes of waiting you’ll still get stale chicken and stale fries. Why make someone wait that long? Because the staff is busy chatting in the back, or they’ll make you wait on fries, while the chicken strips will cold and stale. It’s terrible here.
Rank chicken. No flavor in side. The owners seem cheap and charge for honey do would not surprise me if the cut corners on the poultry and seasoning. This location needs to step their game up
Fast and efficient service with proper covid protocols for ordering and picking up your food from rhe counter. Had the 2 can dine for $12.99 meal. The chicken was crupy and moist but not as spicy as I would like it to be. The biscuit was good as well as the sides of beans and rice and Cajun fries.
Popeyes and Mary Browns clash against each other for the crown of being the best fried chicken franchise for me. Generally, whichever one I ate more recently I start leaning towards. However, I think that the quality, the unique flavour, and the speed provided at Popeyes just makes it superior. My go to is always two sandwiches, a biscuit, fries, and soda! I can’t speak for all Popeyes locations, but this one slapssss.
Ordered it at the store, and saw the guy getting the coleslaw from the shopwindow. Didnt mind. When I got home, the coleslaw had an acid smell, it was going bad. So check your pre-prepared stuff before u eat. Chicken was ok as always
Haven't had Popeye's for a long time and didn't really feel like having fried chicken.so we tried the poutine and it was good. But just that it's really salty.
From the first moment you come to this place team give you an agreeable feeling. Very courteous hosts, it is a lovely place to enjoy with buddies or with your date. Excellent cooking, specialist chef, honest pay and attentive service. Warmly recommended.
One of the worst popeyes locations. Take a few extra minutes to go to hwy7. It's rare I even write this stuff but their sandwhiches, fries, everything is strictly portioned and tastes terrible. It is extremely hot in the summers as well.
The difference between hwy 7 and here is astounding.
The absolute disgrace of a Popeyes that is simply littered in this plaza. I would rather have a Burger King or even KFC than this.
The sandwich portion is extremely small compared to down the road near Markville Mall Popeyes. As many of the reviews mentioned, portions are always tight and it’s true.
The restaurant is also hot as hell. The employees must be burning back there. Turn up the AC will ya?
All I think this is, is a Popeyes that is cutting corners. But those corners is only hurting this location more than anything. Don’t go here.
Tried the new popeyes chicken sandwich. It was trash. The staff didn't add enough sauce to the burger and the pickle was so dinky. The chicken was alright at best (6/10). The buns were decent.
I’m not recommending this location. I’ve ordered a chicken sandwich from here three times, and all times it wasn’t good. They don’t put enough mayonnaise or pickles in it.
Called ahead for pick up and was told to wait another 20mins. Waited 20mins and walked inside and was told to wait another 10mins. No apologies just excuses. Would not recommend coming to this location.
Worst popeyes ever. 3 orders in a row they forget my sauce. The woman on the phone was hard to understand. They give way less popcorn shrimp than most popeyes. They filled my drink way too much and it spilled over my car. Would give 0 stars if possible.
The I dont know why people complain so much. It's not easy to deal with so much fried chicken. The people at the front and the back look like they work very hard, they develop attitude over time due to rough customer experiences, I've been through it myself. Around lunch I get very good service with a smile. Thanks to that beautiful counter person.
This popeye is a disgrace to the brand, for the last 10 times i visit this store, i got short piece three times, cold chicken twice, wrong parts twice. Unbelieveable!
I don't usually go to Popeye's because I find their regular prices are high and their coupons/deals are lacking compared to other nearby chicken franchises. With that said, I like this location when I need a quick spicy chicken fix. The staff is friendly and I've never had an issue with my order. This location is fairly busy so they're constantly making fresh batches to keep up with the number of orders. I've never had an issue with the freshness of my chicken or fries. Even the portion size is satisfying. I find that they pack enough fries with your meal so I don't feel ripped off. I'm not a fan of the biscuits in general. I know that's a favourite for a lot of people but I just find them dry at every location. I just wished they had better coupons/deals for 3 or 4 piece combos.
Horrible location! Never will I order from them again after. Every single time I orderd I asked for ketchup and Louisiana hot sause did not even get one. So when I called to speak to someone I explained eveything to her then she transfers me to her manager.then again I explained eveything when she said I have to transfer you to my boss at that point I just gave up! So ridiculous there just cheap
It's fast food, nothing much to say. Staff is friendly and offers good service. The food itself was decent and came pretty fast in comparison to other fast food restaurant.
Coming to this location since 2010. Sunday, STAFF don't understand English. Ruined my food! Asked for the Tenders to be well done (mentioned 3-4 times) but they weren't. Very Poor & disappointing service. Will never go there on Sundays.
This location has graced me with quite possibly the worst Popeyes experience I've ever had. #1 of a whole slew of problems: the chicken was dry. Dry as a bone. Never have I had Popeyes so poor. The chicken must have been sitting under the lamp for 6 hours. #2: the chicken tasted like shrimp. Without a doubt they had used whatever flour or dredge previously used on shrimp for the chicken. This was a first for me. What if myself or my friend had a severe allergy, we would be in the hospital.
I have eaten here once a week for maybe 3 years. My order was missing food and the jackass owner had the nerve to lie claiming “you didn’t order that” when I have ordered the same thing for 3 damn years. So since the owner wanted to fight me over a $1 item despite being a loyal customer- I will never step foot in this place again. Can’t wait till Church’s chicken opens down the street.
Ps- notice how other reviews mention missing food.
