Gives me diarrhea every time. Place is fine but they really need to check their food safety, and if not that then properly drain the chicken.

They take 8 years to prepare a chicken sandwich combo. If you don’t have time do NOT order from here

I go there every day I really liked the service there! They are so nice and generous. I hope they do well in the future! Definitely recommend everyone to go there and try

Everytime i come here, they take literally forever, they take the order first and then tell you to wait 20+ minutes, even when its not busy, and food doesn’t even taste good, DO NOT GO HERE

This is an awesome popeyes location. We were recently in the area and popped in for lunch. The man taking my order greeted me so nicely and had a really nice smile. He made us feel welcome!

We ordered chicken nuggets onion rings and 2 sweet Chilli heat dipping sauces with drinks. Food was hot and fresh and tasted delicious. I really like the crunchy coating on the chicken. Sweet Chilli heat dipping sauce is nice but they have alot of choice.

The tables were clean and I liked the buzz of young people chatting and enjoying their food here.

The place had a nice vibe! I recommend and will return myself

The lady cashier was quite rude. She did not answer my question properly which led to a wrong order. And she was dishonest in answering my question when I heard the answer from her colleague.

I really love the staff. It can get really busy but it’s a university so it makes sense. The food is great and always perfectly cooked. Also to save money get the Popeyes app and keep an eye out for offers

Excellent fries and gravy, Chicken sandwich was crispy and moist. Assorted bucket chicken had this strange aroma and consisted of just dark meat.

Came in a 1am and they made me fresh chicken nuggets and fries and it was so good. This was my first meal after fasting for Easter and it was so amazing!

They gave me 6 onion ring in my combo and said that every combo only comes with 6 rings.they are cheap and don't give out the amount of food they are supposed to.

Deluxe chicken sandwich is cold and stale, most likely prepared beforehand
Update: Came back after 8 months, Ordered Deluxe chicken sandwich combo again, I was very impressed at the quality this time. +2*

Just letting you guys know if you bought the new chicken sandwich here on September 14,2020. The manager was unfairly and possibly was negligible in OVERCHARGING your sandwich for $6.49 INSTEAD of $5.99 as advertised.

Always like this location for a quick bite.thanks Popeyes chicken. I would only keep that washroom a bit cleaner fyi

I only come here for their poutine and occasionally "manager special" (3 piece chicken with a biscuit).

Best poutine at YorkU.

Maybe it's their signature Cajun spicy fried that makes it feel like the poutine melts in your mouth but nothing tops Popeye's poutine! Wendy's proportion is small and taste like mcdonalds, hero burgers decent but a bit pricy, smokes poutine gravy tastes like medicine and dirty birds is overpriced. $15 for one? !

For 5 bucks, I always leave Popeye's with a smile on my face and belly every time I go for the poutine here. Can't go wrong with that option!

They hire new people without paying for four days full time job and then tell them that they can only give you 5 hours evening shift in a week, if you want to work.

Update: I ordered a butterfly shrimp combo without drink, which is $8.xx (I don't remember the number exactly, because I didn't keep the receipt) but the cashier charged me $10.48 instead. I then asked her why I got charged $10.48 instead of $8.xx, she checked on computer then lie in front of my face said she didn't. Until I showed her my credit card statement on my phone, she then gave back $2 without check the computer. Oh, she barely look at my phone screen to confirm the number.

Previous: they need to learn how to move fast, and give the right food to right customer. I ordered mild tender combo and waited for 7 minutes, end up getting spicy tender combo, and the tenders are not even freshly made. This is so unprofessional and lack of management, a fast food restaurant running slow and give out the wrong order is very disappointing. Hope they can get improved in future

This location needs some serious help! I'm not sure how they can get away with all the faults here. I've ordered plenty of times over the course of ten years and sometimes they literally forget my order. The last time I had to wait about 15 minutes and only to find out that they had forgot my order and told me to wait longer for them to make it. There is also a young slim girl working there. She was extremely rude when I was upset about my order. She needs to learn customer service. Honestly it is sad how the students at this location get treated.

First time at Popeyes, at least their fried chicken are better than KFC, but KFC in China is definitely much better than Popeyes, I just so curious about the reason for that.

It was way toooo oily! Also this particular outlet did not have the daily meal deal starting from 3.49 which is unfair as more than 40k students live here on a limited budget and they could really use the deals! I was disappointed cz I expected some amazing southern fried chicken.

I came to this location with a friend. My friend bought their 5PC chicken tenders and I used a coupon for a 10PC chicken tenders. Majority of my pieces were very tiny ones (approximately 7/10 were small), while my friend got all 5 big ones. Also, the tender pieces were so oily, like they gave it straight out of the frying oil. I would not recommend anyone to come to this location!

It' no longer Popeyes, it has been replaced with Hero certified burger. I ordered a haddock burger it came dry and no flavor, the fries were burned i had to have it replaced. I asked the person at the counter some mayonnaise, she responded that it will cost me 83 cents, this is despite having my order mixed up with someone else. There is nothing heroics or certified about their burgers, their goal appears to nickel and dime customers and i will certainly will never go back.

The two times I eat from here were not that good. I got the manager's special (chicken and biscuit) once, and I got shrimp combo with poutine. Their chicken taste way to dry and the skin is gross. The poutine was gross. Also, i would believe that all the staff were friends since they chat with each other and have people wait in line for their food.

Don’t waste your time.
Food is always cold and service is horrible.

They told me that there was no chicken nuggets left and the wait time would be 15 minutes.

After waiting a few minutes they decided to give me nuggets that were cold and must of been sitting in the tray for a long time. They failed to tell me when I purchased the meal that there wasn’t any chicken nuggets made.

Overall, don’t waste your money here. Go somewhere else.

I highly, highly recommend people stay away from this place due to both my reasons below and those of everyone else.

It seems that in the year since I've been here, the service went from mediocre to awful. I ordered a platter (1 extra side and upsize drink), but after I paid with my card they discovered they were out of large cups. The cashier agreed to give me an extra biscuit (the cheapest thing on the menu) in compensation for the mistake.

Then.it was almost immediately overruled by the manager, because it wasn't equal in price to the drink ($0.60 to upsize vs $0.99 for the biscuit). Management, if it honestly hurts your bottom line to be stingy enough to back out of giving someone something worth $0.39 extra, because of YOUR mistakes, and decide to value your $0.39 more than providing customer service, I don't see why we students should continue to buy here.

Wait times for orders are always very long (>15 minutes) during meal times, unlike neighbouring restaurants. The cashiers are generally nice and will help you in any way they could.

However, it seems they're either understaffed or unorganized- the kitchen is bustling and it still takes a while for food to come out. During my previous visit, they lost my order. Though they packed it on the spot when I prompted them after 20 minutes of waiting, they ended up missing my side order of biscuits.

There are also no daily deals, or coupons. You open a restaurant where most of your customers have student debt.and you don't hold promotions or accept coupons. This says something about the management, I'm sure.

Had a $35 special still up and didn't honor the price. Gave $1 discount off $45 instead. The spicy chicken was okay, service was still pretty quick for York.

Not a good choice at all. I used coupon that is for 2 can dine and it cost $16.99. So with HST it must be $20 whereas I have been charged as $25 for no reasons. And the quality of food was not good at all.

I’ve been to this location a number of times. They consistently give me spicy instead of mild chicken and the wrong dipping sauce even when I double check with the person as they hand me the bag. This happened again today so I called the location. To paraphrase, the manager told me that I didn’t know what spicy is and I shouldn’t complain because they serve so many people a day that they can’t be bothered to get every order right. Then he hung up on me. 0/10 would not recommend. Have already called corporate office to complain.

They are okay but won't give u the daily deals that regular popeyes offers. Also gives u small size fries for a medium/regular size fries in combos.

Please learn to cook the chicken, and drain oil thoroughly. Whenever I eat from here, I want to gag, making me instantly regret the decision to come here. My cholesterol level literally goes whooping high due to the amount of oil still present in the chicken. Ew gross. It literally drips. Disgusting.
