PORT

Have been to PORT 2 times and it’s honestly pretty good. Service is good for the most part could be a little bit faster but I do understand they are busy. Food is good, the oysters aren’t the best for the price as they are a dirty inside and aren’t shucked properly. The burrata salad is really good tho. As for as mains go the surf and turf is delicious and the Seafood fettuccine is alright the sauce is wayyy to water almost like soup but other than that it is good. Drinks are fairly priced and strong for what you get so overall I would recommend PORT but just expect a long wait time for food and drinks. 7.6/10 overall.

I love coming here, service is very friendly and welcoming. True there are not a lot of options on the menu, but that makes it easy to choose from. Plus the food is great. I would recommend the salmon

Was here for a party but the service was phenomenal. The servers are so incredibly sweet and helpful and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Adequate parking for the space in my opinion as long as people are not parking and blocking people in to stare at the water. Like one person did but that's not their fault!

Amazing location and views. Service is decent. We didn’t have any complaints but not much to praise either. Server just did her job.
For appetizers, I tried the calamari and it was so good! The bolognese was alright. I wasn’t disappointed but wasn’t too impressed either. My friends had burgers - crab and Port burgers and they really liked those. The fries that came with the burgers were really good.

The food was great, but our server was amazing. This individual served a table of 13 adults he was organized, he came around made sure everything was great always made sure to offer refills. Customer service is hard to find! Great customer service is even harder to find and keep! Nov 4th 2023 4pm dinner wedding. We came from Niagara and would absolutely be making the trip again!

Delicious meal, beautiful inside, clean and elegant style. I’ve been here for dinner and most recently this past weekend for a birthday party - my in-laws booked a private room which was nice and private and I was able to let my one year old run around. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had both the brunch menu and dinner menu, I ended up ordering from the dinner menu. It was a great time, good place to celebrate a birthday. Also great views, it would be great to eat outside in the summer!

I had the spinach salad and added a Cajun chicken breast to it was delicious. I would absolutely order this again. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing tasted fresh and like it was made with real balsamic vinegar. Also can't beat having lunch by the water.

Food was amazing. We ordered the mushroom pasta, hummus and the prosciutto pizza. All of them were amazing. The coconut margarita was also nice. However the service was not at par. We were given water and menu 10 mins after we sat down. And we always had to look for the server to ask for anything. The margarita was served without a straw which is ok but when we asked for one the server did not come back till another 10-15 mins and then when she brought the food she still didn’t bring the straw so we hD to ask again.

Anyway would still come again cause my past experiences with other servers were nice. I won’t mention the name of this one but maybe they just had a bad day.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Love the location and atmosphere. Celebrated my 45th birthday there and it was great. Highly recommend this place.

Nice location overlooking Frenchman's Bay but way too noisy and prohibitively expensive for what is basically 'Pub fare'.
The food was quite good, but carrying on a conversation was difficult without yelling.
Will not be returning anytime soon.

Food and service were great. The view and atmosphere is also amazing. The only disappointment for our dinner is the grilled whole seabream. While it tasted good, it has no sides and the portion is more like an appetizer. Definitely not expected that for over $40. Pizza was great and so were other dishes. Just don't get the grilled whole seabream.

We have gone to this establishement several times and have usually had a positive experience, however this past visit definitely persuaded us to unfortunately avoid this establishment for the next while. Cleanliness inside was lacking. Dead bugs all around the window sills. We got served our food while next to tons of dead bugs. The experience was just extremely unappealing. Food came out raw/uncooked. We were informed the head chef/kitchen manager is new.

The food and staff were absolutely fantastic! And not to mention the atmosphere and beautiful view!
We had the Striploin, fettuccine Alfredo, Seabeam as mains and popcorn shrimp, burrata and Brussel sprouts to start. Finished off with the Crème Brûlée. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Every dish was outstanding!

Our waitress’s name was Ray who was outstanding, friendly and attentive. Everyone was friendly and helps each other out. The manager Julian was “on the ball”. Greeting people serving etc.if I could, I would give them a 10 star. Definitely recommend this restaurant. We will be returning without a doubt!

Sitting on the patio offers a great view of the marina, which makes it a great summer eatery

As someone who works in the restaurant industry I was very disappointed by my experience at Port. The restaurant is well maintained from a cleanliness standard, food was good and the drinks were okay but my issue lies with the manager, who I believe went by Esther. After seeing her interact with several staff I pulled one aside to inquire about their treatment as the way the manager addressed them was very demeaning. It was brought to my attention then, by MORE THAN ONE staff member, that they are not being given proper lunches. Staff are being forced to snack in the bathroom between orders and are not being given proper breaks. Not only is this unsanitary, this is a violation of Ontario labour laws. After speaking with a few staff they also mentioned a lack of mental health support from the management team who seems more concerned with profits than the well being of their team (which btw if they were a good manager they would know supporting your team leads to better workplace performance and therefore better profits). I’d recommend Port as a place to eat but certainly not to work. Poor management will eventually lead to poor staffing and the quality of this restaurant will diminish. I’m not sure who owns/runs Port but in my professional experience I’d quickly find another management team.

The view is amazing the fries are amazing, cod was yummy with a kick to it, bbq chicken pizza (the chicken is a bit dry), cheesecake not as good, but brownie and ice cream make it all better. Service could do much better.

My husband and I used to always come to Port, it was our spot. We Decided to go a few days ago because we know they renovated and change the menu so we wanted to give it a swirl. The waitress was very professional and kind she was knowledgeable about the menu, she recommended a few items but unfortunately.good things sometimes come to an end. No No No No never again very disappointed, horrible. I can't brag about Port anymore the food it a definitely a no go. Truly unfortunate. No Oyster! Guys! We're devastated. The only thing I would give five star to is the renovations maybe the patio, maybe up grading and get some umbrellas might be a good idea and drink. That it that all. Prime rib was bigger then the plate itself, and mash was so dry. Yuck and super gross.

Servers were rather inattentive even after the dinner rush subsided. Parking is also a nightmare.

Good spot for a quick drink and appetizers if you can get a seat on the back patio. The food is good and some options can be adapted for vegans. Service is really quick and friendly. Cocktails are okay.

First time going here. Just out for the evening, sat on the patio it was a beautiful afternoon. Menu is short and sweet. We had the pineapple pizza (yes goes on pizza!), popcorn shrimp (it was a bit salty) but still good and the spicy sausage pasta. Dessert, brownie and the vanilla ice which is amazing real vanilla ice cream.

Great location by the lake. Service is a pass, no complains. Both fish dishes were a bit on the salty side based on my companions comment. I had jerk chicken which was quite decent. The fried Brussels sprouts appetizer was definitely the star. Food a tad pricey for me but a very nice place for special occasions.

Restaurant view was very nice until it was dark and there were a bunch of bugs flying around landing on the table and dying (literally dozens). Came for my girlfriends birthday and it took an hour to get food (it was a Saturday and busy we weren’t in a rush but literally just ordered salads and steak) two of us ordered Caesar salad and they literally did not cut up the lettuce. Very strange but wasn’t the worst salad. A couple of bills were messed up in the end, my friend was charged $20 extra on her bill. Nice but more organization is needed. Shouldn’t take so long to serve and the charges should be correct.

Went for dinner on a Tuesday evening. It took 5 minutes before a hostess greeted us. We sat outside. The on-line website said they had oysters but they are no longer on menu. Wanted to have fish since it is a “down by the water” restaurant and they had no cod available so ordered the seabream. $44.00 with no sides. Way over priced for portion size. The sirloin was juicy and tender and the Brussel sprouts were great. The food quality was good but not quantity. Service was bad it took a long time to clear plates.likely will never go again

Best patio in Pickering/Ajax area! Service is always great and food is excellent. Cocktail menu changes with the season and always is on point. This is a top 3 choice for me consistently. Highly recommend.

Very nice place but always busy. Best to call and make reservations. Patio usually full but there's some seating inside near the patio which gives you the same view as being outside. We had the calamari app, pineapple pizza and the pork chop. The calamari app was tasty but missing the olives. Not really a big deal for me. Pineapple pizza crust was a bit soft but delicious otherwise. Pork chop was a good size, well cooked and the arugula salad that came with it was great! Lots of parking, by the resto, on streets nearby and an extra parking lot across the street for Port customers. Overall a nice experience and will come back.

Only our second visit but we had another really great dinner here. Terrific patio and view of Frenchman's Bay in Pickering. Very nice staff, really quick service. If you're lucky, you'll get Denzell as your waiter.

Loved the place and the service! Bartender was so amazing and dedicated to the job, I would make sure to visit every time I’m in Pickering.

The chicken pizza was soggy, there was too much bbq sauce and it made the pizza so salty… and it wasnt hot when served… not even at room temperature. I expressed my opinion to my server and all she replied was ‘oh, sorry. Can I get you anything else? ’

Excellent service
We loved our evening at the Port. The Brussel Sprouts are crazy awesome along with the truffle fries. We each had a main and it was all wonderful however the prime rib was actually cold which seemed strange. That said it’s still five stars based on the amazing service, environment, and the rest of our meal and wine were perfect.

Port is a hidden gem with great, friendly service, delicious food and the view of the water.so beautiful. Went for my first time today with some friends and we had a lovely time, delicious food and the host and waiter, Austin, were welcoming and attentive. Will definitely visit again!

Loved it. Even post lockdown the food ambiance and service was exceptional. We will visit again and have been reommending it to everyone!

A perfect day to enjoy lunch on the water!
The service as always was exceptional. Alexis (I know this is the wrong spelling) and Julian were friendly and on point with their suggestions.

The truffle fries were AMAZING and we also had a chance to try out the tuna tar tar. However, we for sure chose better main dishes last time. We had the brick chicken and salmon last time accompanied with the calamari a white wine sangria and a local citrus craft beef. Everything was sooo good. This time around, we took a few daring chances. We went with the truffle fries, tuna tar tar, cod fish, and pineapple pulled pork pizza. We aren't giving up on PORT though and we already know what we going to order next time. Definitely thinking about trying the cheeseburger, chicken burger shrimp roll, amd salads. We will for sure get the TRUFFLE FRIES.it was also nice enjoying the views and trying new dishes that we normally wouldn't.

Loved the quality of food. The Brussels sprouts are to die for! The steak definitely satisfied my craving, being served with horseradish and mustard was a nice touch. Service was great and awesome atmosphere.

For the price point, I would’ve liked a larger portion of food (we had two appetizers and one main per person between four people) and still had room to spare after our meals.

Nice restaurant and friendly staff! The interior and outside facing the lake is soo pretty! Can't believe This is in Pickering! The host was friendly and promptly seated us after checking our vax cards with ID. The grilled calamari was okay, I may not reorder but it wasn't horrible, definitely different from the usual fried and battered one but they do inform you that it's non battered when you order. I didn't think it was grilled though, there were zero char marks and it was very soft almost like they boiled it lol I got the cheeseburger which was decent. I was impressed that the waiter noticed I was pregnant and asked if I was ok with a medium rare patty or want it more cooked!

I loveddddd The garlic bread as it was on a crispy soft and crunchy ciabatta with plenty of grated Parmesan on top. Wouldnt even mind having that as my main! Lol

Overall I enjoyed the food and service. Will come back!

Well, let me tell you internet. I stumbled upon this bar on a weary afternoon.and I was greeted by the fanciest music man, who sang me sweet lullabies all night. I proceeded to be served by, what I must say, is the greatest bartender I have ever had the pleasured of being served by. Her name was Tiffany and she is a Canadian gem. She is a mystical cherub who fell from heaven for the sole purpose of making the best old fashioned known to mankind. Believe me when I say this. Drop what you're doing and go to PORT and ask for TIFFANY!

Such an awesome place to be. Beautiful ambiance. The staff is so friendly and delicious food. It's a bit pricy but it's worth it. The wood smoke barbeque chicken pizza is a must try for pizza lovers. I also enjoyed the California cut striplion and the smashed potato that comes with it is outstanding.

Great service. Our server Ashley was amazing. The manager came by to introduce himself and check on us which we appreciated.

Very good service and excellent quality and tasting food! Had the short rib special and I did not regret it as it couldn't have been more perfect. Definitely would return and reccomend without a doubt.

Loved the food and the drinks. Staff was very nice however Bartender "Tiffany" is the BEST.she took care of us from the beginning till the end. Recommend her as your server all day long.

Good location with nice view of harbour. Starters were good especially the grilled calamari and pizza was tasty too.

Had a lovely evening with my partner. The Calamari was my fave so rich in flavour. The service and staff were wonderful as well. Scott was our server and he was fantastic and insightful. Would highly recommend going back!

Had the mushroom truffle pizza which was bland - had to add salt, pepper and chili flakes for some kind of flavour. Pizza was done well otherwise.

The watermelon spritz tasted a bit fermented and no lime flavour.

We arrived at the restaurant for our reservation at 7: 30pm and shown to our table. We sat there for 30 minutes without any server even looking at us. We were sat right outside the kitchen as managers walked by numerous times. We walked out after talking to a manager didn't even result in a waiter giving us water.

I hope the fact that my family is Asian wasn't the cause of this terrible service, but I have my doubts. I am never coming here again.

The staff were great and the general manager went above and beyond to accommodate my family and me after we had some difficulty booking a reservation online. Lovely service without a doubt. Unfortunately we weren’t overly thrilled with our food, but next time we’ll just try something else instead!

Beautiful restaurant, located right on the water, offering an amazing view, especially in the summer. The food is amazing and the service is great. Go on an empty stomach so you can make sure to enjoy one of their delicious desserts. Cute location to take a nice stroll after eating a delicious meal.

Such a great find in Pickering with amazing food and the service was beyond my expectations. The brussel sprouts were so good, and everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed all of our mains. Don't skip out on dessert either because their toffee pudding is DELICIOUS!

Thank you to Esther and Julian, we will definitely be coming back! And can't wait until the weather warms up to enjoy the beautiful patio and lake view.

We went for a family dinner wanting good food, good service and a cozy atmosphere. All our criteria were passed with flying colors, with a mention to the food which was excellent. From the Salmon dish to the Filet Mignon steak, everything was literally cooked to perfection, even for our picky tastes.
We will definitely visit again and we wholeheartedly recommended this restaurant.

It's a good restaurant and we have never had a bad experience here. Mind you we come at odd hours and it's never busy when we go so we get really good service and good food. Id say the price is pretty much what you would expect from a restaurant like this.

Hands down the nicest patio in the GTA to catch post card style sunsets.the new layout supersedes the previous generation design.we pop in often for food and cocktails in a nice clean friendly environment.

Great service, friendly staff and nice decor and environment. However, the meal/food presentation, portion and quality wasn't satisfactory overall. It wasn't attractive in general. But the staff took great care of us, much appreciate it.

Went to PORT twice since it re-opened. We were really excited this spot was finally open and had big expectations. Unfortunately on our first visit, the food was slow and not cooked to request, but the staff and manager were so pleasant and apologetic we thought we'd come back for a second try. Glad we did, because the second time we visited (with a larger party might I add) the service was just as great and the food was exactly how we wanted it and came in a timely manner. Will continue to support this great restaurant in Pickering!

Someone told me this was a nice place to go for drinks - they were right. Stay for a couple of hours and enjoy and nice view and nice staff.

Great atmosphere; terrific service; good food. Especially will be great to visit in summer with the open patio area just touching the lake. Ordered mixed seafood fettuccine. Really nice with a hint of fine herbs - basil, oregano, parsley, etc.

Very unhappy with my experience at this restaurant. The manager service is below average. The managers did not seem interested servicing. Just kind of brushed us off he should not be in this industry with that attitude I would gave 0 star if possible.

Very friendly staff, we went there for a office party. I have to say we were seated at 2 tables near the bar it was very loud and hot. The food was wonderful, there were some things that when I would return I would try differently. The steak was well cooked medium rare however the outside just had a little too much burnt crispy spots on it. It was paired nicely with potatoes and mushrooms that were well cooked in a delightful sauce. The restaurant itself has amazing views of the lake, even though we visited in winter it was still very pretty.

Will be returning but will ask to sit away from the bar.

I've enjoyed every aspect of my visits to Port. The food is great, service is fast and efficient but they don't make you feel rushed to get in and get out. Friendly staff and an amazing view of the bay. Definitely recommend checking Port out.

Excellent environment and view however the manager has bad service skills he should not be a manager. The severs are fine.

Family dinner on a Sunday night. Food was excellent and service was attentive. The renovation is very nice and views are still nice. Scallops dish was cooked perfectly, homemade burger is delicious, mushroom pizza is big enough for two. Drinks are also reasonably priced. Will be back.

Cozy during the winter and a great place to dine during the summer and just watch the boats sail lazily by on the lake from the patio.

The restaurant itself is very beautiful. However I found the menu lacking with not many options I was interested in.
Ordered a tomato soup with cheese croutons. However my soup literally only had 3 croutons in it. VERY disappointing.
The pizza tasted VERY salty, hard to finish the meal

Delicious food, classy atmosphere. Very friendly staff. One of the best restaurants in Pickering. I had the flank steak and fries. Steak comes with a delicious butter on top and the fries have a great aioli.

The renovations really brightened up the place and created an awesome lounge space.

The menu is different now. The brussel sprouts appetizer had great flavors, however the brussel sprouts weren't roasted enough (too soggy). Pizza was okay, the crust are mediocre but the wild boar pepperoni on it was amazing. The gnocchi dish was delicious, but on the small size given the cost.

Best part of the meal was the dessert. Highly recommend the cheesecake creme brulee

Excellent view and atmosphere the food is okay a little over priced which was fine however the male manager service was extremely poor that is why my experience is 3 star.
