A BIG Thank You to Port Credit Residences especially Jackie & Eva - 2 outstanding ladies!
My Aunt has lived here for the last 4 years and now unfortunately she must move on to Long Term Care. I couldn't leave without telling other people how Fabulous this place is!
Port Credit Residences has very friendly, caring and helpful staff that always try to do their very best! The residence is clean and welcoming and has lots of activities for the residents. The food is great and varied. And it's in a terrific location - so close to everything.
I always felt peaceful & secure in knowing my aunt was well looked after between my weekly visits.
Thanks again to all the Staff for all their hard work!)

This is not a security building as stated on the Website - The website states that wellbeing, safety and security are their priority, however, access to the building is open to the public. No need for the fob or keyless access that is part of the security offered at this residence, as the doors remain open from 8 am to 8 pm with inconsistent attendance of a receptionist at the front desk. Regardless, a receptionist is not replacement for security measures.

I tried to address my concerns with the onsite manager and the district manager and was dismissed. "This is industry standard" at senior residences, to leave the doors unlocked allowing unfettered entry into the building. I am not aware of a modern-day apartment building that does not provide minimally, the security of a locked door, but Verve feels this safety measure is not required.

It is disappointing that rather than being a leader in seniors residences, Verve chooses to meet a minimum standard that fails to protect residents from unauthorized visitors.

Verve was able to control access to the building during Covid to protect the residents from potentially ill visitors, so building security protocols and systems are clearly in place, but are now not being used. It is troubling that Verve doesn't take the physical safety of residents as seriously as they did their medical safety

As a realtor, I am often asked by clients for information about senior living facilities. Recently, with the assistance of Eva & Jackie of Port Credit Residences, two senior clients moved to the retirement facility. Moving from your home of many years can be traumatic at the best of times and during the Covid-19 it was truly a challenge and without the help of Eva & Jackie they might not have completed the move.covid-19 tests, changing lockdown dates, availability of movers etc.
That was about two months ago and the feed back from my clients regarding the Port Credit Residences has been positive.

Dad’s move from his house to the Port Credit residence was not a happy time. Following his stroke, the new reality is difficult to accept. Staff at Port Credit residence work to make everyone feel “at home” by knowing each person's name and character.

Shortly after Dad’s move, Dad and I were taking the elevator to the basement level to get the car. But when the door opened to get out, the open elevator door was blocked by an old guy who was not moving. He was confused, scared and unable to move. The standoff did not last long; thankfully a member of the kitchen staff appeared on her way to work. In a kind reassuring style, she quickly calmed the gentleman and helped him on his way.

I think that Dad is lucky have an apartment at Port Credit residence.

We turned to Port Credit Residences when my mother in law fell and fractured her hip and was unable to return to her home. We arranged for her to go into Respite care once she was released from the hospital and we were very pleased with the level of care as she convalesced. She is now settled into her own suite and is really happy with her care and enjoying the food very much! Many many thanks to Eva and Jackie for their patience as we have navigated this difficult transition. The entire staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We are really happy we found a soft place for her to land.

As a frequent musical performer at Port Credit Residences I am happy to sy that when my time comes this residence will definitely be on my short list as a place to live. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Port Credit. Whenever I speak to the residents they always rave about the food and the great staff. Definitely worth checking out.

My mother lived there for several years, it was always clean, the food was fantastic, the events never stopped, but it was the people that work there that really make this place special. They weren't just nurses, assistants and coordinators, they were like family to her and they treated her that way When you cant be there all the time that means everything, She could not have been in a better place. Hope their saving a spot for me

The care and attention that are always in evidence at Port Credit Residences have given us great security about our mother's choice of home. Jackie, Eva, and Michelle are so much more than their job titles: they set the tone for the dedication, good humour, and willingness to help we see in every member of staff. Thanks!

We are so pleased that my wife's father is staying at Port Credit Residences. He has been there over 5 years and we all have enjoyed the surroundings, amenities, healthy food, great programs and caring staff. As he has needed more support, this was available right from the residence nursing station with people he knows and likes. We are especially pleased at the way the Port Credit Residence has handled the pandemic. They kept him healthy throughout with strong protocols and we appreciated all the communication. We also had many Zoom call set up by the residence in their offices. They brought him down and got him connected using their equipment and took him back to his room after seeing all the family including great grandchildren. We have come to know and respect the staff for the caring friendly way they treat the residents and relatives. The bonus is the pool table and the cappuccino machine in the lobby!
