The worst portuguese food I've ever had and they wanted me to pay for hot sause for a 50 dollar take out order like really LOL don't bother wasting your time and money here go-to nova grill

Every place we looked was out of whole chickens and then we found this place. The only Portuguese place still open which is nice as not everyone eats at 5pm. The chicken was perfectly charred on the skin and inside was evenly cooked and juicy.

We will definitely go there to eat in sometime soon.

Beware, don’t waste your $. Tried this place twice and order bife a casa both times. Ordered medium rare, both times it’s charred and well done. The sauce is flavorless. Last time the potatoes had a moldy musty taste to them. Fruit flies were flying all around our food and table. There is a small dog who walks around the restaurant and I thought it was cute at first but after being turned off by the food and owner/chef who appears to drink alcohol while working, makes bad jokes and made me feel uncomfortable, the dog no longer seemed so cute.

Wish I read the reviews before ordering… place is a bar that’s it… and apparantly nit even a good one lol. Wont even give you a hot sauce after buying a 50$ family meal, says it’s extra LOL

Looking for Portuguese chicken, rice and potatoes for take out, and let me tell you, it was a big no for me. Chicken was overcooked, dry and had a bitter charred taste to it. Got a chicken sandwich, and it was also dry. Had to discard food, wont order again. Customers stay clear!

Went today for Mother's Day, great friendly staff and wonderful food. Definitely going back again soon!

The owner of the restaurant is just a money taker. He allows people to get so drunk to the point where they can't walk or drive. The lady bartender is rude and very ignorant. The service is a -0 I was banned from his bar. He takes customers phones and talks for the men that are drunk that he serves. What a crock

Try the surf and turf with chips and some Lobos Tinto wine from Portugal and you will have an awesome food experience.

Food seemed like leftovers. More of a hang out. Not a busy day maybe that's the reason for the low quality. I got the espetada madeirense, found it was over done and poorly seasoned.

We ordered the family pack #2 for $42 (2 chickens, salad, potato, rice) at noon for pick up at 3. When we arrived they charged us $58 and said we don't get salad. They didn't have our order ready and we had to wait while they cooked the chicken. Never again.

Had a party of 8 over for dinner and I ordered from Portas Do Mar for the first time. The food was delicious and everyone went for 2nds and 3rds.
