1000 stars yes. Please experience this delicious food! You can taste the care and expertise that goes into every single bite. I wish I could eat Portobello Road food everyday, all day. Oh. And it's vegan! If you're a non -vegan you still need to experience this amazing food. Lovely atmosphere and lovely people. Thanks for being awesome.

I am almost hesitant to write this review for fear that they will become so busy that I will not be able to get a reservation. My daughter wanted to take me for a special dining experience for my birthday and booked the 8 course tasting menu. After the 3rd course we ran out of superlatives. How many times can you say unbelievable in one meal? !
The chef owner is a genius in the kitchen and his creations mind blowing. How can so much deliciousness fit into one little ramekin? His wife is absolutely delightful and has such a shared passion for excellence in what they are doing.
If you want a truly exceptional dining experience, this is the place to go.
**A bonus is that they do take out on Tuesday and yes, we did order muffins and a some other goodies to pick up even before we had finished dinner on Saturday.

A Tasting Menu of Dreams! I took my mom for the 8 course tasting menu at Portabello Road in March 2023 and I have no words that can accurately describe how incredible it was.

The food was out of this world delicious! We were 3 courses in and we looked at each other and said "WHEN CAN WE COME BACK? ! " Whether you're looking for a tasting menu or prefer a-la-carte, you will not be disappointed with anything you try at Portabello Road.

Oh, and I don't want to forget to mention that they also sell Honey's Plant Based Ice Cream which you will never believe doesn't have dairy.this dairy free girl is OVER THE MOON!

Such a GEM to have in the Durham Region! They serve not only delicious food (sourced local) but also are eco conscious and sustainable in their operation.

Nice little cozy restaurant. Suggest that tables are set up differently as I am not sure long tables would work for most. Service was great and pleasurable. Limited menu for lunch but that is likely the same for many places like this in these times. What we had though was amazing.

Tasted their 5 course menu! Do not skip this- especially if you’re a food enthusiast! It doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or not, the effort and flavours of this menu is definitely one to not be missed.

What did we ever do to deserve this FIVE star Vegan gem in Downtown Oshawa? !? ! The food was exquisitely prepared.by an extraordinary culinary artist.whose love of food was blatantly obvious in his creations. His beautiful wife served the incredible creations with deft stories and detailed descriptions. Bravo and Brava!

We had the 8 course taster menu and every dish was delicious, inventive and presented beautifully. Lindsay and Alex have created a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Tried dine-in for the first time. Our carrot salad was devine! The dressing was so tasty that I used the bread to soak it all up. And, the sourdough bread! Wow! My potato pizza was great too. Brought home a pasta to try as well.

Lovely small restaurant. Vegan and locally-sourced vegetables. They make their own flour from the grain. We ordered four Margherita pizzas for takeout after seeing the pictures online. The dough was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. The tomato sauce was pure and tasty. The cheese was vegan, which was an interesting new flavour for us. A great pizza overall, I would get it again when we're in Oshawa. Lovely staff as well! We will come back to visit this little treasure again!

Everything about our dinner was amazing. As certified meat eaters we were excited to try something new but weren’t sure what to expect, each course was INCREDIBLE, the flavours were fresh, complex, comforting and amazing. The range was fantastic and we can’t wait to go back. The service is kind, quick and knowledgeable - we will return to support again and again. If you haven’t tried Portobello Road, you’re missing out.

Portobello Road is amazing! The smoked carrot salad, the sourdough bread, the pasta, the pizza, we tried it all. For dessert we ordered one of each so we could try both. Pumpkin cheesecake and maple brûlée. Wow. Delicious food that is healthy for us and Mother Earth. It truly doesn’t get any better than that! This is my new favourite place! Lindsay and Alex are lovely and working so hard. I’m in awe and wish them every success!

We left Portobello Road happily full after trying the 8 course tasting menu…wow! The food was absolutely delicious, the homemade pasta/pizza/bread dough - Y U M. The owners (Lindsay and Alex) were beyond incredible, from handling front of the house, Alex’s creative mind putting the dishes together and making them taste so good with the different layers of flavours, the service and insights into each course was like no other. Highly recommend! Go support this local small business/restaurant! You won’t regret it!
