We had the worst customer service experience. I’ve bought stuff from this store in previous years, however we dealt with the owner in those times. This time unfortunately her rude daughter was minding the store and kept complaining, grumbling under her breath as we tried on outfits and looked at the clothing. In the end, none of the outfits I tried were fitting well to my liking and I decided against buying anything except two suits for my daughter. The lady kept grumbling under her breath as I tried to pay for my daughter’s outfits. She wanted me to give her cash, when I could only e-transfer. To me, cash or e-transfer are the same- they don’t charge the merchant fees and their store was closing in 30mins limiting my time to get cash from the bank nearby. Her excuse was the store only allowed e-transfer of min. $100 purchase. This rule was not written anywhere and it absolutely makes no sense if one accepts cash for items less than $100 but not e-transfer. Then she finally agreed for me to e-transfer but kept grumbling as she folded the outfits. I felt hurt and decided against buying anything from her. Allah prevented her from even getting my $60 because of her rude behaviour. She also rudely remarked to my mom not to look at any more outfits or else it would confuse her. So now we’re’ not allowed to look…We also overheard her loudly gossip about us to other customers loudly pointing out how some people take so long to decide and motioning to our direction. I’m not sure if she actually recognizes how horribly she treated us and made rude remarks during our whole shopping experience, making it unwelcoming. She also kept pointing out to us that the store was closing at 6pm - it was 4: 42pm when she started her repeat announcements targeted towards us. Perhaps she was just having a bad day and lost it at us…I’m not sure! When I finally pointed out her rude behaviour she got upset and blamed us for taking so long. To my surprise, she doesn’t understand that people who walk in the store have a right to look and decide, try things on, and buy or not buy, that’s how life works when one goes shopping. It’s her job as a merchant to mind the store and treat customers with respect. And we were there during open store hours! There’s usually never a limitation to how long one can stay in the store if it’s open! And why are we getting penalized for looking? I only tried on three outfits not the whole store. And is there a limitation to trying on outfits? I also had two young kids with me and I’m pregnant. Things take longer in these situations. We were actually only there from 4: 30pm - 5: 30pm. I had taken time off work to do some shopping but ended up walking out as she slammed the door on our face and almost on my 2 year old who started crying. I’m so sad because I’ve actually bought nice stuff here before and even prayed in their store. The mom, the owner, never rushed us and treated everyone with a pleasant smile and respect. Unfortunately this daughter needs an attitude makeover. We ended up buying 6 outfits at the store next door (fashion ka ghar) who made us feel welcome and treated us with dignity. We won’t be going back to poshak. Just lost faith because of their horrible manners.

I bought a gharara suit from here for a mehndi. It was on sale, for $100. I wore it to the event and within half an hour, the gharara began to rip from both sides of my legs. The seams were extremely weak and the dress was poorly made. I tried to pin it together with safety pins for the rest of the event, just so I wouldn’t have to go home and change. I brought this to the owners attention, and she told us to come in and bring the outfit so she can find a solution. We ended up being offered $10 to get the gharara fixed. After waiting in store for 30 minutes to talk to a manager or supervisor, we were given $15, just so we would leave. I am extremely upset with their service. I find it very frustrating that they have no proper policy for exchange/return. I was a frequent customer for the past few years but I will not be returning. Don’t expect to have a good customer service experience when shopping here.

UPDATE: the rip was not in the lining. It was in the top half of the gharara. I’ve added photos. The price I paid was a sale price, you did not do me a favour by charging $100 - it was already marked down. Just because it was on sale and no one has ever complained about the clothing quality does not make this any less frustrating. I would not have been as annoyed with the service if the owner didn’t tell us to come in store so she could help us out.

I recently purchased shalwar kameez from a Poshak Mahal, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality! The materials are durable and comfortable. I'm happy with my purchases, and I highly recommend checking out this store for their clothing selection.
