Been to Positano twice now with my fiancé and the atmosphere, food, and service were exceptional on both occasions. Even gave us a complimentary drink for our anniversary! They acknowledged us and made sure that we were taken care of. Definitely recommend Positano to anyone that’s roaming around the neighborhood.
Service is friendly. Good food. Virtually no dairy-free options on the menu. But charging $18 for a small plate of spaghetti with butter for a 4-year old kid is a rip off. The plate was so small that we asked to add a bit more. They cooked a second plate and charged an additional $18. So $36 plus tax plus tip for spaghetti with butter. And there is no kids menu. Are they trying to discourage people with children from coming there?
We had brunch at the Positano Restaurant last weekend. The atmosphere was very inviting. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My favorite was the granola yogurt parfait. Housemade granola and mixed berry compote with balkan yogurt and fresh fruits. Yummy! Make sure to try:)
A bit overpriced for the portion size. I don’t recommend Risotto Allo Zafferano e Funghi, it was not very good and was a bit too salty. But the Genovese Napoletana and Tiramisu were delicious.
I went to this restaurant over the weekend and I was incredibly impressed. We had the grilled squid and burrata pizza both of which were very large and very reasonably priced. The squid was very tender and the pizza was one of the best I have ever had. Will surely be returning. Great staff and comforting service.
Great restaurant. Very friendly with a great vibe. The food is delicious and diverse. I bet it was the best pizza I've had in Toronto. The tiramisu was pure Italian. The staff is super friendly and professional. I will definitely come back and recommend
The food was good. At first I did like the pasta I have ordered, so the owner replaced my pasta with an amazing tasty pasta with no charges. The workers are very nice and overall it was a very cozy and nice atmosphere
Last night I came to Positano with my girlfriend. Our waiter was Ata. He was the best! Helped us pick the perfect wine. Overall excellent experience. Grazie!
Came here for early dinner with a few friends who has tried and liked the food. The place wasn't too busy and the staff was nice. We ordered the squid for appetizer and three pasta dishes: the ragu which was their special of the day, the ravioli with walnuts, and the butternut squash pasta.
1) Squid
The squid had a nice grilled flavour and paired well with their house vinaigrette.
5/5
2) Pasta
I really liked the ravioli dish out of all the three. The pasta was cooked well and we finished our own dishes. The only thing I would say is that I didn't taste the butternut squash as much on the dish.
Prices are high, and portions are small. The 14oz veal chop must have a 10oz bone. The nenu has a very small selection with only 5 main course items. Check the menu before you go.
Great Italian Restaurant! From the beautiful decor to the professional and personable staff, including the owner, this is one of Toronto's best kept secrets! The pizza with Burrata cheese was over the top. Excellent! Can't wait to go back. Highly Recommend!
Had dinner with friends here tonight. The portion of the pasta they had were just like the kids meal. The prawn in the pasta size like baby shrimp. All the food are not hot. Not worth the prices we pay for
We ordered a couple pastas assuming it would be good because of the reviews, but boy we were wrong! The pasta was bland and far from authentic, the garlic bread was tough, and the meatballs were dry. Highly do not recommend.
Used to be one of our favourite restaurants in the neighborhood. Haven't dined here since before the pandemic. Food was bland, tepid instead of hot and much smaller portions. The prosciutto in the app was chewy and hard to eat. The servers seemed nervous and lacked confidence. Very expensive for the quality and portion size. Maybe under new management or ownership?
Our experience at Positano was fantastic! The food was truly delicious and so fresh.
The menu is full of authentic pizza and pasta options that take you back to that last visit to Italy.
The appetizers were excellent. Fresh burrata, Buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, bruschetta and a Caprese salad. The pastas were made fresh and the linguine was definitely the highlight for me.
Refreshing and delicious cocktails. The Bellucci was my favourite! Nice wine options and a great list of after dinner aperitifs.
The patio topped off the experience as we enjoyed the warm summer air as we watched the city of Toronto go by. We were attentively waited on by staff who clearly care.
I was there recently to have dinner with my family, we sat on the patio in front of the restaurant and it was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and attentive, having dined the past times we noticed that they modernized the menu. On the advice of the waiters we were suggested new dishes and I must say that there was no better suggestion. The quality of the products and the way they are cooked is impeccable, I must say that their new philosophy is really right for the area in which they are located, especially knowing that the menu changes over the seasons. Absolutely recommendable!
I visited this place last year and had a very nice experience and staff were friendly and welcoming. Wanted to try it again this year but even though I had called in and put a message to reserve a table, and there were many empty tables, they told me they couldn’t host me… Completely unacceptable. But hey, ended up walking to Yonge & Eg and discovered a good Italian restaurant. Guess I’m never coming back.
Had the pleasure of having dinner here on Fathers day with the rest of my family. We had order quite of bit off food from the appetizers, to pizzas, to the main entry's. Everything was cooked sufficiently and it all tasted great. Staff is very friendly, the patio is huge and all n all a great restaurant for a nice evening out!
