Julie gave me facial and it was amazing. Best I have ever had. Can not wait to book again. Go all the time for waxing and tried threading for the first time and may try that next time. Highly recommend. Julie is fantastic.

I was a regular customer here for about 3 years. I was always indifferent to the customer service practices here (terrible by the way) until my last couple visits. I’m never returning to this dirty place. If you do decide to go to this spot, stay out of Julie and Manali’s chair as they are unprofessional, rude, and truthfully very dirty. On one occasion, I had discourse with Manali as I asked her to wash her hands before touching my face to do my brows (as she had just got out of brazilian waxing a client and told me she “already used hand sanitizer”…). On another occasion, “playfully” pushed my brow-lady while she was threading my brows causing her to leave a slit in my brow and this evil witch walked away laughing about it. They still charged me full price by the way. Disclaimer: I am Black; read a review of any other Black individual and do the math yourself. Save your time and your coin, I promise you.

They messed up with appointment scheduling. Instead of apologizing, they demonstrated rude, unprofessional behavior. Visit the harbor square branch instead- great customer service there.

Pleasant and accommodating staff, Manali is really good and professional. The receptionist as well is very friendly. Clean space, LGBTQ2S+ friendly

Julie is my go-to person to get my eyebrows done. I like my eyebrows thick and feathery and she does them perfectly every time!

Read the other reviews that are echoing my experience before you come here - saving a few dollars is not worth being treated badly. There's one younger lady who's decent enough but the older lady who works here couldn't be grumpier if she tried. I came to get my face threading done and she missed a bunch of the hair she was supposed to remove. When I looked in the mirror and pointed them out to her, she made the most awful face and kept mumbling something at me while re-threading. Truly not worth it, why work in the service industry if you don't know how to treat other human beings with respect? I won't be coming here again.

Awful. The girl just rushed me without even properly wax everything. She literally was running to leave the room. Didn't even ask me if I think okay or to check.

I have been going to Prayosha’s on Church for the past 5 years now. The staff are always professional, very kind, friendly & welcoming, the salon is always clean. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to get my eyebrows done, i always leave Prayosha’a very satisfied. Julie is extremely nice, patient and professional she listens to the exact preference for the service that you require & always provides it efficiently & always in a timely manner. I love this salon! I always leave looking/feeling great.

I've been in this place a few times, giving it another shot (only for simple things, like eyebrows waxing). Unfortunately, nothing changed. Customer service is non-existent; they hardly said hello. Last time, I came out with a disappointing eyebrows shape. I also used other services in the past but never went back for legs, bikini, underarms. The wax appears to be of poor quality. If you value service, your skin, and the end result, do not come go there!: (

I don’t trust anyone with my eyebrows easily but a friend recommended this and they did exactly what i asked for and very fast. Very friendly people and a clean place! Their prices are very good compared to other places. 100% recommended for eyebrows threading.

I went there for waxing my face and eyebrows. They didn’t behave in a friendly manner. Also, she did not give me a small mirror to check my face. She said we don’t have it! So, when I arrived at my home and checked my face, I noticed there’s a lot hairs on my face skin! So, I don’t recommend this place.

I give them none. I have been here twice, the first being the most painful threading I have ever endured. They double dip their wax, not at all hygienic. Second time around, came for a service an hour before closing and they had skeletal staff. One being the same one who had served me the last time. And the other unable to serve me at all, had gone for a full face threading and wax. Btw, their staff talks in hindi thinking patrons dont understand when they are clearly passing snide comments about them. So no more of this place.

I usually visit the other outlets this was my first time here cause it’s close to my work place but I did not like the service. It is subpar at best.

My go to place for threading. I was searching for a place where I can have facials like back home (India) and Prayosha is the perfect salon.

Pathetic place.unprofessional and rude behavior. They don't care and don't know the meaning of customer service.
Never book an appointment as they will book an appointment and then make you wait and attend walk-in first, sometimes based on your color of your skin!

Every time I go I feel very welcome, all of the staff is very nice and they’re very efficient too!

I love this waxing salon the team is very caring and professional. Always on time and giving a fast but thorough wax. I had the chance to be wax by Julie, Manali and Roupie at different time and it was always great!

MY new go to place for eyebrow threading. I had an appointment with Rubi who was super friendly and cleaned up my eye brows fast and exactly how I wanted them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place as the service and price point are top notch!

I’ve been in Toronto for two months now and I never dared to get my eyebrows done because I’m from India and I’d been going to one salon all my life for all the services. I was so skeptical to try and then I read some great reviews about this place (Church Street) and I finally decided to show up today.

I must say that they make you feel comfortable and they know what they’re doing. I got my eyebrows done in under 3 minutes and they look perfect. I’ve found my safe heaven.

I used Julie for threading and waxing and she was PHENOMENAL! Friendly, professional and thorough which is everything One needs! Thanks Julie and keep up the GREAT work!

A little surprised and disappointed as I went in for a wax (which I’ve done many times before) and noticed that they were reusing sticks which is so unhygienic. Only once I said something did she change the sticks, but then I still saw her reuse. It was either Rupi or Manali as Julie was busy. This is really unsettling and very dangerous so please be careful.

It was worst experience of my life and also they were so rude, I am not satisfied with the service take extra money but give best service.

I’ve used their service couple of times and I’ve always liked them. But recently my experience has been really bad. I had an underarm waxing and I had a reaction afterwards. This could have been because of n number of things but I feel it’s mainly because they don’t get enough time between appointments to even eat, relax and kind off rush sometimes to get it over soon. It’s completely the owner’s responsibility to not take into consideration their break time. I won’t ever go back because after 2 days, I still had the pain and I haven’t received any followup call from them nor an apology (Trust me I was very polite when I told them what I went through after the wax, was only hoping to get a solution)
I’m writing this review after almost week, and I’ve got pigmentation in that area. If that doesn’t go away, I’m definitely going back to understand what goes on in there. As they do not follow proper labor standards, employees work without a break on peak days.

The lady who threaded my eyebrows and waxed my face was so impatient and rude. She kept ignoring my questions concerning what she’s doing to my eyebrows and seem angry for whatever reason I’m not sure of. My eyebrows shape came out really bad. This was my first time going there and I am not going there again.

If I could give it a zero rating I would. This was the worst waxing experience in my life. It was so painful I cried and had to ask the esthetician to stop before she was even finished.
It was clear from the start that the esthetician had no idea what she was doing, I had to tell her to press down on my skin after she pulled the strip, I also had to keep showing her spots she missed, and at some point, she even asked me to try waxing myself. As the session progressed things became more and more painful. I sensed something was wrong and I asked her to stop because I had never experienced waxing so painful to which she replied: "well I've never seen hair like this". I asked her to stop multiple times but she said she had to keep going because she had to get the wax she already applied off of my body. It felt like she was pulling on my skin and eventually I couldn’t take the pain any longer, I told her I didn’t care about the wax that was on my body and she should just stop. She stopped and I had to go home and remove the rest of the wax on my own. Before leaving I noticed a red line on my skin and asked her what it was, she didn't reply and quickly left the room. After I came home I realized that that line was blood because she had literally ripped off an entire inch or 2 of my skin. She also left me with many other small cuts and a surface burn that's 1-2 inches long. To be honest, the whole experience was an absolute nightmare, it was borderline traumatizing and I don’t think this place is black skin/hair/person friendly. I will most definitely not be going there again and I don’t think any black people should go there either. (08/07/2022)

Update I called them this morning to complain they said they “would get to the bottom of this” and get back to me. They called me back and said that they would offer me a free service if I took my review down because their “company policy is against serving customers who have left bad reviews”. I told them that it’s ridiculous that they would even offer me a free service and that I would not take the review down. They replied and said if I don’t take the review down I would be denied all services at any of their branches in the future. So basically because I refused to take this review down I’m not allowed to go back to their salons.
I’m absolutely appalled by this disgusting behavior. (09/07/2022)

I have had my eyebrows tinted and threaded by two different ladies and both turned out pretty close to perfect! I'm very happy I came across this place.both times made an appointment online with no issue

Best place hands down for my eyebrows. I moved here from India so you know I’m not messing around w my eyebrows. 10/10 been here 4 times perfect every time

The older lady with glasses who did my eyebrows is very arrogant. Her way of talking was off-putting. Told me not to wear sunscreen while doing eyebrows and made me sit in the chair and wipe it all off. I did it silently as I didn’t want to make a scene & wanted to keep conversation with this type of lady to the bare minimum. She even told me that next time never wear sunscreen and come! Umm what? ! Next time who’s going to come to you? I’ve done eyebrow threading in the USA for 5 years and India for 15 years, never heard this anywhere else. Maybe she needs to wear gloves and act like other eyebrow threading professionals do. Irritating experience with that lady. Not worth money spent. Do not go here. Looks like all the low reviews in the section for eyebrows is related to her?

This was my first time coming here. I saw other reviews and decide to try. I was overwelled on the service. I had my eye brown done, fast and easy. They did a great job. I will be coming back for other service in the future.

The place is clean. However, the service is not the greatest. The girl who did my waxing didn't stretch my skin while waxing which caused a lot of pain as my skin is sensitive. It's expensive as well.

This was my first time getting a Brazilian wax with Julie and she was so pleasant! We laughed through the pain and provided a comfortable experience for me. She suggested I take breaks if needed since it was my first time in a while or put in headphones as a distraction. Very sanitary as well which is always a plus! Was in and out in less than 20 mins, Thanks Julie:)

Wonderful services provided at Prayosha on Church St! I get eyebrow and upper lip threading done at Prayosha, and it’s always a positive experience. Staff are friendly and facility is clean and welcoming. I would recommend going here.

I've been going for several years for full body wax and facial thread. Super clean establishment. Very reasonable prices. Gentle hands. Excellent results.

I would recommend to go with appointment if you required more services, as they take you but do the service with two people and it to very fast. My personal experience with this was very bad when I left the place my hands n legs were literally burning as they did waxing so fast without stretching my skin. I have recently booked appointment online and just before 1 hr of appointment they called me and asked if you keep bad review we wont be able to serve you. So it means they asked me to remove the review which I have given. Don't visit this place at all.

AVOID AT ALL COST FOR A BRAZILIAN! I've come yesterday for a Brazilian. It's now been 24h and I notice major issues with the waxing.

First of all, I had grown my hair for 3 weeks (since my last trim and I do not shave at all) before coming for the appointment so it was at an adequate length. But looking at the area, I realize most hair has been broken off instead of waxed! I can notice all the hair (just shorter because it was broken off) still there and some longer hair hasn't even been waxed at all.

The area is very irritated still, even after following the instructions. I have some burns and my skin has been ripped off. I would have gotten better results if I had just trimmed. I've been having Brazilian for many years now (including at very cheap places) and it's definitely the worst result I have ever seen. There is definitely a health safety issue and I will report.

The people working there were very kind, but I haven't heard back from them to fix this major problem. I would avoid.
