Called in to buy Wagyu for a special occasion. Read some good reviews online and figured I'd support a local business rather than Costco. Ordered, came to pick it up, expecting a fresh butchered pair of steaks. Guy gets off the phone, gets my order looks at it tells me "of sorry I did not have time to prepare this yet, give me a minute". Goes in the back comes back in 40 seconds hands me a bag, tells me "just made fresh yesterday, enjoy". I look in bag, 2 frozen steaks, made half a year ago, frozen in a vacuum bag. I paid $70 per for this? Picture attached.

You tell people to look at your website so much, well I am a Shopify software developer, and here is a quotation off of your website "We aim to build bonds of trust with customers that are just as real as the relationships people have long held with their butchers".

Shame on you, sir, and shame on your business.

A great spot. I especially love the individually wrapped portions, so convenient for both storage and thawing for use. It's always worth loading the freezer up. Shopping here has been the biggest single improvement in my barbecue game hands down.

I was parked on their lot on the phone and someone from inside approached me to see if I could be helped. It wasn’t asked in a way that was helpful but rather in way and tone implying that I was either not welcome or should not have been there.

My answer was that I was there to come buy some meat once I was finished with my call and I was informed that I could not do so as everything is now sold online even though they still have signage in their window saying ”cash and carry” and listed store hours.

It was clear that I wasn't welcome to stay nor were they interested in my business. Sad to see a business that looked to the public for support during COVID when the restaurant industry was shut down no longer treat the people that kept them afloat the same as they did when they needed them.

I got the message that they didn’t want their customers parked on the phone taking up space on their lot but there are better ways to handle the situation with more tact. They could have just as easily chose to help me or offer to process my order while on-site as long as I pushed it through the website for payment if they were no longer setup for in person transactions.

I bought from this before and it was an okay experience. But now, don’t buy anything from this store. Every time I called them, they told me to look at the website which they never updated it. I called to ask whether they have Japanese Wagyu ribeye and they say they have it, and insisted that their website say so but I don’t see ribeye (maybe they sold out). Worst part is they keep telling me to look at the website and what they claimed was not what I see on the website. Need to work on your customer support and if you have time, LOOK at your website before telling customer what you THINK you SEE. I would give zero start if I could.

Portion size, Quality, Accessible website. Over all great place if you are looking to buy meat.

I ordered 20 0z Porterhouses and rib steaks. We had a porterhouse and I'm used to having a thicker cut so cooking on the bbq was a bit more challenging. The meat was tender and tasted great! Can you custom order the steaks when they are on sale? Now that would be even better!

Superb quality and service - order was ready within hours for pickup. Tried the salmon, kobe burgers, chorizo sausages and ribeye - all excellent quality. Just put in another order and can't wait to grill again this weekend!

The shipping was so fast and the meat came in fresh. I was updated every step of the way. Highly recommend and will definitely buy again!

We had the huge tomahawk steak - best steak ever! Tender, tasty, and really juicy. Absolutely amazing.
They are crazy thick so I cooked the reverse sear: oven @ 250 fr 1 hour then seared them on my Big Green Egg BBQ. Perfect medium rare with a great sear.
The only problem was the bone is so long I had to saw off 6” so they would fit on my BBQ.

I am very impressed with their quality of meat! I also love that the chicken breasts are all individually packaged. It makes things easy for me and saves on freezer bags. I'm a busy person and it made things quick for me to 0ut in the freezer

So easy to place an order. Such great service to have it delivered. Well packaged.
So far we’ve had the Chicken breast - maple, pepper, chipotle flavour. OMG. Amazing. Do yourself a favour and grab some. So flavourful and juicy! They ran out of hot dogs, so, hopefully will get a chance to order those in the future.
Tonight, ribs are on the menu!

I've ordered numerous times from Slipacoff's Meats. The quality and consistency of products are excellent. If you are only used to getting your meat from the 'Grocery Store' (like most of us are) do yourself and treat yourself to Meat from a butcher.

The best quality steaks I have ever had! The Japanese Wagyu A5 was real, and insanely delicious. The food was packaged and vacuum sealed exceptionally, and it was frozen in a high-quality styrofoam cooler upon arrival. Shipping was on time and customer service answered quickly. I will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered and service was quick! HOWEVER, was sold t-bones instead of porterhouses, even admitted by sales director! Did NOTHING to help out except going back and forth with e-mails! Was my first and last time there! Dont mind paying, but, give the people what they expect and pay for!

The products were as advertised and delivered quickly. The prices are very reasonable. I wish they carried more high quality, frozen fish (the sushi grade salmon is excellent).

Ordering was easy. Delivery service claimed they attempted drop off. The owners called and verified the address and the package was delivered shortly after that. I work for a big chain meat Dept, and I can tell you that they had high quality products at reasonable prices

We placed our order at 10: 30am and by 2: 30 pm it was delivered to our front door! Great prices and selection! Also love the quality and the fact that they come all individually portioned. Easy to freeze and grab out as you need! Highly recommended!

Ordered here last April during the time of the pandemic when grocery stores were being ravaged by over shopping knuckleheads. Ordered a whole bunch of products ossobucco, kobe burgers, flat iron steaks, baseball steaks, sirloin burgers, ny strips. Im in windsor/essex shipping was a little pricey at 50bucks but understood given that its basically next day delivery i think mine took 2 because i ordered late at night, no biggie. Meat arrived vacuumed sealed and still about 85% frozen which is impressive. Only thing that was too thawed to re freeze was the kobe burgers, but expected so i just ate those that day (they were incredible) i was nervous to grill them in case they fell apart but they held up just fine. I was skeptical how frozen mest would taste because i never freeze steaks. The meat when thawed was incredibly deep red like it just came off the cow, all cuts were buttery and tender. Im about to order again and cant wait for it. I should also note their customer service is impeccable i recieved a thank you email from Ian thanking me for my business. And because of the size of my order there was supposed to be a gift certificate code which i didnt recieve. Ian resent me one immediately. This place knows hows to do business and they clearly pride themselves on customer satisfaction. If you took the time to read this do yourself a favour and order from them. You wont be disappointed.

Maybe a bit on the expansive side due to the shipping cost, but the delivery was quick and the meat is awesome so far. Would definitely recommend.

Fast and efficient! I ordered pork belly and was very surprised at how much 10-12 pounds really is! Thankfully, I have a freezer. Looking forward to lighting up the smoker on Easter weekend.

Put in an order this morning and at 1: 30 it was delivered. The cuts of meat look awesome, the size of the tortiere and turkey pot pie are great! Can't wait to have the turkey pot pie tonight for dinner. Very impressed thus far!

Great quality.husband was leery as hes a " fresh not frozen" person. He was pleasantly surprised. Ordering and pick up was easy as well. Will be order again.
