My husband and two children live very close to this pharmacy, which is why we wanted to try to get our prescriptions filled here. From the get go, I tried to remain optimistic. When calling the pharmacy to ask questions, I would usually hang up left feeling like I was a nuisance or a bother to the staff there. I would leave messages when no one picked up, but would rarely receive a phone call back. On that note, I would always have to call the pharmacy to receive any information on prescriptions that got faxed from our doctor to them; I never received a call when a prescription was ready to be picked up; I almost missed getting my birth control in time for my next round because no one called me to say it was ready for pickup. Most recently, our vet prescribed a medication for our cat and upped the amount of pills from 15 to 30 because she now needs the pills twice a day instead of once. We were given 15, and when I went back to explain the prescription was supposed to be 30 pills instead of 15, the person behind the counter kept saying that my prescription was correct, for 30 days, like I was an idiot. She then proceeded to say if I wanted the rest of my prescription I had to get one of the refills. So I paid twice for a prescription because I had no choice, and the person behind the counter treated me like I was the stupid one.
The only reason why I am giving two stars is because the pharmacists themselves were always nice and accommodating. I wish we could have stayed for them alone. It's a shame the rest of the staff (usually different every time we came in; seemingly a large and fast turnaround rate) ruined our experience here and has forced us to switch pharmacies.

I've been going to Preston medical since moving to the area and the first thing I noticed was how much time the staff spend with you to solve a problem. Unlike many other pharmacies where there are limited staff, they take the time to check with what you need, provide options, and talk you through medications and other options.

They are also approved by U Waterloo pharmacy school as a placement for students, so they are looked at as a positive placement for future pharmacists to learn from the best.

Highly recommend! The staff is professional, knowledgeable and the customer service is leaps and bounds ahead of the service you receive at the big chains like Shoppers/Rexall.

I personally drive from Kitchener to remain at Preston Medical Pharmacy because of their amazing pharmacists and attention to detail. If I am ever unable to get to Cambridge they deliver my prescription right to my apartment door, it's amazing. Any time I have been given a prescription I am confident that they will be able to properly explain all the key pieces of information and give advice that has my best interest and health in mind. On top of that, they are a training location that understands the importance of continued education. I have a lot of respect for the staff of PMP and their commitment to their patients and best practices is quite evident.

The staff at Preston Medical Pharmacy is always wonderful to deal with. My prescriptions are consistently filled on time and delivered to my doorstep if I need them to be. They always have my speciality medication ordered in time in comparison to when I was with Bayshore Pharmacy they were constantly late getting my speciality medication to me.

Preston Medical Pharmacy is a training facility for new pharmacists from the University and are very knowledgeable about drug interactions. The staff get to know each patient and how to best care for you unlike big chains like Shoppers Drug Mart. I will always continue to get my medication from here!

Not overly impressed! I switched Pharmacbecause the one I had been going to since 2006 had new owners and the mistakes they were making (wrong doses, etc) were inexcusable. My drs office suggested I switch to Preston Medical Pharmacy. I did, and in the beginning they weren’t much better than the pharmacy I left, lots of errors, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they had a lot of people transfer to their Pharmacy. Sadly, it’s a training Pharmacy so the staff is like a revolving door, they wonder around like deer in the headlights, nobody seems to know what’s what. They have a web site to send in prescription refills, and I’m having to call 4 days later to see if it’s ready. The woman I dealt with today hung up on me! I called, asked if my prescription was ready, she asked if I called it in, I said I sent it via their website 5 days ago, she checked, came back “yup it’s ready” I asked if it could be delivered, she said “after 2 or 6? ” I said after 2 and I asked how much it would be and with a huff she said “I’d have to check” promptly put me on hold, came back, told me how much and I barely got a thank you out and she hung up on me! There’s some Awesome Customer Service…Not!
