Wonderful park for hiking with four mountain lakes. Enjoy a scenic stroll by the pretty river. During peak hours or seasons, you have to park on the street.

Beautiful hike! The white markings for the main trail are very clear. The blue markings for the side trail can be a bit confusing at times and far in between. But overall gorgeous.

The entrance is a bit far from the parking lot and you have to walk on the road to get to the entrance

It can be a strenuous hike depending on your fitness level. Steep inclines and descents at time, after all, it features the highest point of the Bruce trail! Lots of intersecting sidetrails, definitely bring a map. Pretty little pond to rest.

Serene! Quiet! Expect to get a good walk.
Trails can be slippery when wet but as long as you are careful and wear proper shoes you'll be fine.

A great place to go for a day hike. Long main trail and lots of side trails. Beautiful river to walk along and amazing views from the top of the hill with breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Entered from the southeast and had to climb up a very long and steep path to enter the main hiking areas. Totally worth it! It's a beautiful place to hike with lots of mature hemlock and sugar maple. 6/5

Amazing. The views are so nice. Lots of uphill/downhill. A great workout. Could be muddy if wet but was fine when we went. Lookout point was beautiful and a few rocks to have lunch!

Beautiful place to hike but wear appropriate footwear as some wet muddy spots. Many options for trails as well depending on your exercise tolerance.

This place is a piece of heaven! So much natural beauty, with a small (presently) but stunningly beautiful winding river running through.as its centerpiece! A definite place to check out while in the Collingwood area!

Great trails for whatever you are feeling. Leisurely walk by the river is quite nice or if you are feeling more adventurous the inclined trails make for quite a hike

A Beautiful forest and trail, even in the rain. A beaver came by the say hello and get a drink from the creek. It doesnt get much better than that!

Park is beautiful in a Southern Ontario / Bruce Escarpment way, with mature hardwood stands on the slopes rising out of masses and edges of cedar, escarpment and cliffs with overviews, bubbling creeks and streams, with rolling farm fields and slopes surrounding.

There is a network of trails so route lengths can be varied, or changed up on return visits, and there are many overlook opportunities, as well as crack/crevasses at the cliffs edge.

Long vista views can be found in different parts along the cliffs, however the most open and longest views are found on the eastern edge of the park where the escarpment overlooks Georgian Bay and Collingwood.

Very wild trails. Not so friendly for the travelors due to the poor signs. We almost lost, thanks to all the other friendly hikers, we traced our way back

Beautiful place for a hike! Lots of incline on hills with plenty of uneven ground. I recommend wearing good foot wear, if not hiking shoes. My husband likes to explore under rocks and found this salamander. I didn't even know we had these little guys in our neck of the woods.

The parking is easy along the road. The trail besides the river is truly gorgeous. Lots of uphill and downhill slopes, but not very hard to walk on. (It was sunny but there was rain the day before.) The lookout is quite far to reach from the main trail, probably easier if you drive up to the other side of the park. Oh BTW, lots of delicious looking wild apples!

Amazing hike and connection to Bruce's Trail. Cruise Pretty River up to the top of the escarpment for an amazing look out. Overall a great day in the woods.

One of the best mountain biking trails that I have riden in the last 20 years. A great mix of terrain and forests. Trails are not marked very well, but if one has rhe Trail forks app, will definitely get you by!

Amazing and beautiful hike. Nice river that cuts through the park. Hike takes you to a nice big pond. Free parking on the side of the road. Lots of tree cover, feel like your transported into another world. Hike is part of the Bruce Trail and is labelled well. More trails are connected to the Pretty River side trail. Adding some garabage cans in the entrance will be good, maybe moving some logs on the trails to act as benches. Adding a map or saying where the trail is heading to would be helpful.

The highest point on the Niagara Escarpment is here. If you were expecting some breathtaking views, prepare to be disappointed. Otherwise it was very, very muddy this late May day.

Beautiful place for a hike, easy enough for anyone to get through. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

I love this place, it's so beautiful and there are a lot of trails to choose from. I would definitely go back, I wish I didn't wait until I was leaving the area to go.

Lots of fun and some good scenery, steep inclines for biking at for my bike but good for a hike.
12 June 2019 22:29
Nature is coming to life, popular spots are crowded. Trails not for beginners, have appropriate shoes.

We started out at this 'provincial' gem in the rough merely for a great place to test out our very first home-made bobsleigh. All we saw at that point was a super long, and rather climbing to the sky-type luge run that just begged for a speed record on our new rocket ship. WOW! Since then, we've discovered an entirely new world of life in this park.

Beautiful babbling brooks, changing forests, cedar grove, deciduous, pine. Slippery ice packed in areas. Soft snow once past the uphill.

Me and a friend got super lost! We traversed half a Snowy mountain lost af and were able to find another trail. Great 5 hour hike.
23 March 2019 15:42
Wonderful area to hike. Offers beautiful views with a variety of interconnected trails. The trails are well marked and you won't get lost, but having a map helps. Be aware that park is unserviced, so there are no facilities.
22 March 2019 21:28
Invigorating hike up forested paths along the pretty river and up the escarpment. Many side trails to explore, we certainly will not get tired of hiking here any time soon. It is worth the trek to the top of the escarpment for the amazing view out on the pretty river valley
03 February 2019 9:37
Getting lost in this area was great, many different trails to explore during winter time. Can be a bit scary though when it's too close to sundown where starts to get dark. Otherwise, it has its mini hills to climb and amazing scenery

Went on a trek on Bruce trail at this provincial park. Nature at its best. A small stream running beside the trail makes the experience more relaxing and lovely definitely a place that gets you out of your busy life into a world of peace and serenity
