Primacy - Family First Health Centre

Been waiting to see doctor for 2yrs, always booked. Never told can see walk in. Staff are not helpful and the doctors are just there to fill prescriptions, not to offer any help. I'm seriously losing all faith in the medical field.pathetic

Excellent "online portal" for making appointments, contacting doctor. Works every time for me. No wasted time trying to make phone calls. Dr. Kelly is great at responding to enquiries.

Very rude receptionist, don't care about patients. Tried to drop me as a patient over a dispute over the phone. Had to call back the next day to speak with someone else and get my appointment back. Told my doctor, she pretty much said oh well.
If your 1 min late you get refused, yet they make you sit and wait past appointment time.

You have to pay to get prescription renewals at the clinic, and the doctor I had just really doesn't care. I've had her for about 10 years. Never follows up and treats you more like a number then a person. I don't recommend this clinic to anyone. The things I've seen and heard are absolutely ridiculous. I have Dr cutler. I'm in process of getting a new doctor. I've made complains about this office to other doctors, they too don't seem too impressed with that clinic. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Because of unexpected traffic I arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment. They refused to admit me. And I was told that my own doctor (Dr. Wijay) was not available, yet my appointment was with Dr Wijay. I should have been told that I would be seen by another doctor. It is unethical and simply bad management to switch doctors without the patient consent and should never happen.

The doctors throw pills at you in hopes that you feel better but never take the time to actually follow up or sit and talk with her patients. I'm leaving this clinic. There are far more professional people out there that care.

Amazing service, warm friendly and welcoming. Queer and trans-friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Druce if you need an endocrinologist. She is very professional and knowledgeable. She caught things that my endocrinologist in Montreal missed and addressed these issues thoroughly with extensive testing and education. I have gotten two other people seen by her and they are equally if not more happy than I am.

The receptionist in house is great but service over the phone is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced not just in regards to healthcare but in general. The staff is rude, dismissive, and condescending. I do not recommend this clinic. Just calling to get a prescription sent to a new pharmacy I’m treated like a problem rather than a patient. It’s disgusting how they trans people who are ultimately just concerned about their health.

The receptionist on the line clearly knows nothing about costumer service. I was asking a very simple question and I was almost yelled at on the phone… never again

I have the utmost respect for my family doctor and her colleagues. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for receptionists, disrespectful and arrogant. Make an effort to have compassion towards people.

Extremely rude and Incompetent receptionists. For what reason? I wish they would change their attitude it’s been like this for years and is really unwelcoming. Pretty horrible

Probably the worst health care “professionals” I have ever met. The receptionist took my information wrong therefore not allowing me to book an appointment for an urgent matter. When explaining the miscommunication on the information and the urgent need for an appointment, she got extremely impatient and even more unwilling to help. What’s the point of being a patient when the receptionists won’t even book you in. When I entered in person to speak about the matter and booking an appointment (not even with my doctor at this point, just a nurse practitioner) the receptionist was still unwilling to book an appointment despite a practitioner being readily available. All because of information they confused. Not a helpful clinic truly concerned for wellbeing of people who need help and are current patients. Highly do not recommend wasting time at this clinic as a patient as they won’t even help you or try to.

Dr. Cutler is an amazing doctor and I highly recommend her. The only issue I have is with my inability to get an appointment. They only do same-day bookings, and you have to race to call them at exactly 8: 00: 00am SHARP. Even if you call and are lucky enough to get high enough in the queue, almost all available appointment slots are pre-booked by Dr. Cutler, leaving you wondering if you REALLY have a family doctor since you can never see her.

Before the change, everything ran smoothly and I loved this place. Now, you simply have to jump through hoops for weeks on end to simply get in for an appointment even if it’s just with a nurse.

I hope they revert back to the old system.

Dr Wong is personable but he is not a functional integrative medical Doctor.

He is a what we call conventional doctor which is reductionist acute science which means they're mostly only good for immediate trauma and aren't very good for preventing or reversing things because they don't analyze individual biochemistry and lifestyle and especially cellular health!

After all have you ever met someone proud to have their organs removed with a straight face and wonder why they had to get it removed in the first place? Very bizarre world!

Basically what it means is that modern science is reductionist and separates body components into some component parts which is very good for a car assembly line but not good for humans.

Indeed the reference ranges for North America are far too low which means basically that the standards for cellular health are extremely poor and a big reason why people get sick with much of anything.

If they did address cellular deficiencies and toxicities there would be very little sicknesses including surgeries and perpetual pill prescriptions.

Doctors and nurses are great, but we can never get in to see them, so it's pretty useless. Took us 2 weeks just to get a blood req for our one month old.after our midwife had sent in a request.

It’s impossible to get an appointment with anyone here. I’ve been trying for weeks to get one appointment. The 8 am calling line to get an appointment dose not work

I had some concerning moles and asked for a referral to a dermatologist.
Dr. Zakeriya called me for my phone appointment and then had referred me very quickly, and I was able to see a Dermatologist within a few weeks (which is insanely fast, actually).
I have always received considerate and professional care from Dr. Zakeriya and most of the staff I've interacted with.
The only unprofessional experience I had was with an ultrasound tech who told me I wasn't getting any younger when I said I didn't have kids, but that was literally years ago and would I would not fault this clinic for it.

My family of three with Dr Susan Cutler for 8 years. She is very very kind. She even remembered my hobby, which caused my knee injury about 3 years ago. We might complain how difficult to get an appointment, but never complained about the service we received from the doctor.

Dr woodend should have her license revoked. She doesn’t care about her patients well being in the slightest and her staff are incompetent. She’s a real pill pusher but not an advocate of mental health. Can’t believe she’s allowed to practice medicine.

Very very very bad customer service from the receptionist sitting in the middle. My appointment was at 9: 30 today and i came in at 9: 32 she was busy doing something so i was waiting for 3 minutes until she said I'll help you and when i said the appointment was with the nurse practitioner she said i cant check you in you'll have to wait so i waited again and then the Other receptionist came and said oh you missed your appointment two minutes ago. I said i came here exactly at 9: 30 the other lady said i was LYING and i just walked in a minute ago. Please check the camera and i would like to speak with the manager for this awful behaviour!

They have a horrible system in place making you call daily at 8am to try to get an appointment for the day. My wife never even received a call back for her appointment and when she called, they lied and said they called her and couldn’t get her an appointment anymore that day. If you value your health, avoid this clinic because you’ll never get the care you need even if it’s urgent…

The staff at Family First are wonderful. The receptionists are knowledgeable and patient when making appointments or requesting information. Our Dr, Dr. Woodend has been our primary care physician for close to 13 years. She leaves spots in her schedule to ensure her patients are seen promptly and goes above and beyond to ensure that our issues are addressed in a timely manner. Moreover, she doesn't hesitate to refer a specialist when it is warranted. I highly recommend Primacy, Family First Health Centre.

Thank you to Dr Druce and the reception staff at FFHC. Dr. Druce is very knowledgeable and super pleasant. She took the time to answer every question I had.

They care only about money. The staff will book you a phone appointment before giving you a real appointment thus overloading theirs schedule and disregarding your needs. Get ready to wait over a month before getting a real evaluation by a doctor. The more appointment they book the more money they get. Huge waste of time and money.

My doctor is on vacation (he's really good) and I developed a problem that is giving me pain so I called to speak with a nurse practitioner or another doctor. Today is Monday and I was told everyone was booked till next week. I sarcastically said "Well I guess I will have to go to a walk in clinic to get checked" The receptionist said that would be my best bet.

This clinic is beyond unprofessional, inefficient and ineffective! My dad is in so much pain he went to the emergency department at the General Hospital. Then he was referred back to his family doctor for an urgent follow-up at this clinic. He took an X-ray, and although the lab sent the X-ray to the clinic the very next day, the clinic has not located it, and the doctor hasn’t even followed up on it. It’s been a week of trying to find answers for my dad’s pain, and the doctor and the clinic seem uninterested to find the X-ray to get the answer! Terrible service, terrible attitude. For healthcare professionals they don’t really care about their patients’ health. Unbelievable! The moment I find another family doctor for my dad, he’ll be going elsewhere!

Worst clinic I have ever been to. I took an X-ray if my shoulder and was told I would have the results in a couple of days. It had been two weeks and I’ve received nothing. I called back just to have the receptionist tell me something was not right but the only time they could tell me was in one week. They then disregarded the appointment I had already made and gave me a new appointment the following week. This clinic is ridiculous and unprofessional. I highly recommend finding a new one.

Doesnt even allow you to leave messages when closed.
Not impressed with this office I have been charged for 3 different fees in the past 2 months.absolute BS.

I book an appointment with MY family doctor (Wijay) and I have been getting this female doctor for the last three visits. Then I get charged 40$ for missing her phone call.

Both my husband and I have had excellent service each and every time at this medical clinic. Dr Zakeriya has been exceptional; one of the most patient, caring and understanding MDs we have ever encountered.

Receptionist here know how to give you a hard time and make things even more complicated during covid19. The hours set when open are very inconvenient if your someone who works full time so it's now twice as difficult to book a doctor appointment. I'm always second guessing myself when wanting to make an appointment now because I know it's not in person so theres no use. They cant see me over a phone call making it impossible to help with any medical issues.
Not letting anyone in the clinic when the clinic is in a grocery store! And theres public going in and out all day. Theres no logic here. The staff is risking the clinic just by walking through the grocery store then.

I've been going to this clinic since it first opened. I have always received great service. My doctor is very knowledgeable.

Dr. Woodend is a wonderful physician. She's been my family doctor for over 10 years now and is so knowledgeable and always willing to explore the issue to find the root cause. I feel very blessed to have a family doctor that I can trust and have confidence in. The clinic is always very clean and on time. They have a walk-in for patients and will usually accommodate "emergencies" with special spots or by a visit with the nurse.

Edit: They now have an all day blood lab which is so convenient! I was even able to do my glucose screening test for pregnancy there.

I'm not sure why but my doctor seems to explain things very vague, which has made my anxiety worse.

I'm happy with this clinic and the doctors and the nurses, having seen more than one of them. A few times have arrived less than 15 min before appointment, and had no problems, was advised to be on time, that was it. I find being on time is simple respect and courtesy to people you meet in any settings, like work settings, or meeting friends. At work, I have to be on time, or have a good reason for being late. At any public function people haveto be on time. If I demand my appointment be on time and not 30-45 min later, then why dispute my being on time.

Impossible to take appointment for Dr Cutler. I give up. Have to find another family doctor which is not easly either. I have to.

Amazing doctor with great knowledge, caring and consider his patients like family. Thank you so much Dr Wijay and the entire staff.

Dr Cutler is amazing. She is attentive and not self absorbed. She listens and acts. Rarely have I had a problem getting an appointment.

My wife had an appointment on Monday as noted on the appointment reminder slip provided by the front desk. Upon arrival she was told that there was no appointment that day. The appointment was the following week. When the front desk individual was shown the appointment reminder slip she rudely stated that it was wrong & there was nothing that could be done. No apology was given. The rude attitude with no apology for their error created a very offensive situation. Customer service coaching is certainly required for this individual.
