Recently had my asphalt driveway done with prime paving and it’s beautiful. You can really tell they have been doing it for a long time and they take pride in their work. The guys were very professional, we’re on time, and delivered on their promise. 10/10 would recommend! Thanks again guys!

I had my driveway repaved and also had it extended. The team at Prime Paving was very knowledgeable when it came to answering any questions I put to them. We are delighted with the work completed today by Prime Paving at our home. Rob, Steve and their crew were approachable and professional. Our project included installation of armour stone over our driveway culvert and replacement of the driveway asphalt. In addition the lawn was regraded and topsoil distributed. Old interlock walkways and flower beds were replaced with new ones. My husband and I would not hesitate to recommend Prime Paving for any paving or landscaping projects.

I would have liked to provide a positive review but my experience with Prime Paving has been far from positive.
My $18,500 quote from Prime Paving (Robert De Buono) was accepted on September 14th and at the time Robert (Rob) advised it would be around 2 weeks before they would start the work. All I ever requested was to let me know the day before they come so I could make arrangements to work from home.
The first scheduled start date was Friday October 9th. The dates were then pushed to October 14th/15th and then to October 24th/26th. The weather was always the reason for the delays. I never hounded Rob and he thanked me for always being understanding as not all his other customer were handling the delays like me.
The last time I spoke to Rob was on Thursday October 29tt, there was snow in the forecast for Sunday but my driveway was his next project on the schedule and they would start work on Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday (Nov 4th) at the latest. Well Monday/Tuesday passed and they were a no-show. I called and left a message on Nov 3rd and asked Rob to call me back to confirm they would be coming the next day as promised. Well November 4th passed and again they were a no-show. I called and left a message again asking Rob to call back and let me know what the plan was for my driveway. I never did receive a return call or an email, Rob decided to ghost me. I’m assuming he could no longer use the weather as an excuse given we had 7 days of 20 degree weather from Nov 4th to Nov 11th and didn’t know how to tell me they had no plans of doing the work. Checking their social media, Prime started and finished a large commercial job on the days they were supposed to do my driveway.
It appears now that Rob will quote you and promise to do the work however if other projects come along that are worth more, he just puts your project to the bottom of the list.
What bothers me the most is that Rob didn’t have the courtesy of returning my calls to let me know he decided to sacrifice my project for another. This simply lack of consideration speaks to his basic lack of professionalism.
Rob could have been honest from the beginning and advised he was too busy to complete the work this fall. That’s what some other paving companies advised when I was originally requesting quotes from them. I guess accepting work and not delivering on a contract is something Rob considers normal business practice.
Based on my experience dealing with Prime Paving. I recommend that if you have other quotes, go with another company especially if the project is less than $18,500. If you do decide to go with Prime Paving and they don’t show up the first time they promise, you should call Rob every day until they do show up as being patient and understanding didn’t seem to get me anywhere.

Pre-construction the communication with Rob was excellent and he absolutely convinced us that he was the best person for the job. Rob worked on several projects such as driveway paving, water proofing of the basement and the French curbs (as seen in photo). After completion of the work we identified that the size of the driveway was considerably reduced. In March of 2020 we realized that the driveway was cracked. Rob visited our property and acknowledge that it was cracked and promised that he would return to complete the repairs. We have contacted him numerous times about the driveway and the new problem of the leak in the basement and we have not received a call back! #unhappycustomer. Needless to say this job cost us over $30,000.00

Rob and team replaced two driveways for us. Excellent workmanship - we couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail. Rob was very responsive and kept us informed of timings, dates and the crew always showed up on time.

Rob is an excellent communicator and provided great customer service. I highly recommend prime paving based on the experience on my project.

If there was a 6th star, Rob and his team earned it. "Prime is Primo". We waited 30 years to redo the driveway due to the large size of the job. A complete mess of built up grindings, asphalt and even concrete. Not an easy job. We were uncertain what to expect prior to selecting Prime when learning about the paving business in general. Everything about our experience with Prime was absolutely top notch and we could not be happier with the results. We very strongly recommend anyone looking at having asphalt work done to contact Prime if you value service, price, results and attention to detail.

Rob and his guys did a fantastic jobs on our driveway. Rob listens to what the customer wants and then follows through with very professional work. We are very happy with Prime Pavings work and would highly recommend. We were also pleased with their pricing. I am a Realtor and I live in Barrie. I've dealt with many different tradespeople/construction companies over the years and have to say I am very impressed with Prime Paving! We called Prime Paving on a Wednesday, expressing interest to pave the driveway. I spoke to one of the owners on the phone, he gave us a quote and answered all of the questions we had. Five days later the job was done! These guys were easy to deal with, friendly and helpful from the beginning. The price was very competitive, and the finished product looks fantastic. If you are in the market for new pavement I would hands down recommend this company.

Great results - they really pay attention to details. I got several quotes and not only did they have a high number of positive reviews from other customers, they also had the best price. I also liked that they completed the tearout of the old pavement, prep and compaction of the substrate, and a nice thick coat of new asphalt - all in the same day. Driveway looks amazing - highly recommended!
