Really nice workers. They made a mistake on my order but they were able to handle it really well. They gave me the correct order and the other bagel for free, as well as a free treat on the side. The food and coffee was also on par with the service. Definitely coming back again!
Primrose never disappoints but my experience here this past weekend was exceptional! I placed an online pickup order, which I recommend doing as there is always a line and items can sell out quickly. In the notes section of the order, I thanked Primrose for making me breakfast because I’d had a long week and I wanted to share my appreciation. To show their appreciation for my note, the staff included some free treats with my bagel! They generously gave me a sugar cookie and two rugelachs. The shops was incredibly busy when I arrived at 10: 00 am but my bagel order was ready right on time. Unfortunately, the matzo ball soup was not ready yet so my friend and ate our bagels in the store while we waited. We spent about 45 minutes there and the line never let up! It’s busy for a reason—the food and service are impeccable. The bagel was fresh and the sandwich was well-crafted. The matzo ball soup was comforting and definitely worth the wait. Despite it being so busy, the staff handled customers with efficiency and care. I am so lucky to live only a 10-minute walk from Primrose Bagel Company and can’t wait to go back! I’ve tried a few of their sandwiches and plan to eat my way through the rest of the menu. Thank you, Primrose!
Primrose Bagel is a true staple of the neighborhood. The food is simply unbearable for breakfast. Fresh, delicious, friendly staff, and interesting menu options put this at the very top of my favorite breakfast places. There isn't a lot of space to eat inside, and it can get quite busy on weekends (understandably so though), but these aren't things worth docking them a single point for. If you haven't been here yet, you owe it to yourself to give it a shot.
Came with a friend, first time having a bagel. These are really tough but not crusty. It's like biting into half baked playdough. Don't understand why you wouldn't eat a good sandwich. Just not my thing especially at 15 dollars when you can buy a veal sandwich at that price!
Sooooooooooooooo gooooooood. Also the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I am autistic and often get nervous to go into places with my very specific food choices. They are always so happy making my regular order and overall just a rly cool non judgmental vibe
The bodega bagel with bacon was top 5 bagels I’ve ever had and being from NYC I didn’t expect this at all. Can’t wait to visit Toronto again just so I can come back to this bagel.
Yum! Super soft and chewy bagels. My faves are the onion and everything. Tried the BLT and the bodega, both had great flavour and a good amount of filling. The chive cream cheese is so good too!
The bagels are great. We like to order a dozen to freeze and make our own bagel sandwiches at home. The bagels have small holes in the middle so they're great for holding toppings in without too much mess. The onion bagel is my fav but the other bagels are great too.
Fantastic staff with great recommendations. Hours are a little restrictive but it's hard staffing a small business any other way right now. Do not expect it to be fast if you're getting a sandwich but it is good.
Not the girl at the cashier but the other girl seems like she's really depressed. If you can't show customers a happy face stay home. I come to spend 11$ on 1 bagel the least I can get is a neutral face.
Bagels are quite delicious. Sadly though the line up for the single less than efficient server at peak time, not worth it when you can find other bagel places that value your time and actually want you come back.
There’s a guy who works here named Doug who is such a sweet and nice man! I love the bagels here! Thank you Primrose Bagel Co for being bagel boyz. Love you!
Place where not only the food is delicious. They welcome you with a warm smile that warms the whole place. It definitely turned into one of my favorite places in Toronto.
I love sandwiches, and Primrose makes some pretty spectacular ones. My partner loves the Bodega, but I'm here for the Light Lunch (on pumpernickel but don't let me tell you what to do) - all lightly fried salami, melty cheese and oh! That Russian dressing! It is a brilliant, most excellent sandwich.
Had a breakfast sandwich here at 1030am on a Monday morning. I had a great experience with the service today. My breakfast sandwich was great and quite large. My only complaint is that they chopped through the paper wrapper when cutting it in half so the egg spilled out through the slit onto my lap when I pulled it out of the bag and began to unfold the wrapping. It was still so good. They have a great patio space outside on the side street.
They have all sorts of international snacks and condiments on their shelves for sale. I don’t recognize any of these but will be sharing with friends from those places.
The lox N sas and the Stanton St.were both delicious! Could use a lot more horseradish in the horseradish CC though. With a little more pungency, that sandwich would be 10/10!
Great bagels and breakfast sandwiches. A little more expensive than what I would have expected, so I won’t be making a habit of coming here frequently, but I’ll definitely be back!
Just discovered Primrose a couple weeks ago and boy am I glad I did. Every time I order a bagel there it's even more delicious than the last time. I can't get enough and I keep going back! Friendly staff, great food.
If you go expecting montreal bagels, you won’t be hyped… because these are not montreal bagels! But, lucky you, they’re really good! There are more than one type of bagel! Wow!
I think the sandwiches rock. Love the Morty when it makes an appearance.
I love the pre-ordering system! If you can read and use the internet and have 1% patience the whole system works really well!
I think about the za’atar bagel all the time. Horseradish cream cheese whips.
We got a few bagels this past Sunday morning: we like this business, but poppy seed bagels were hard and dry inside. Looked like the dough had not risen properly. This is not the 1st time we noticed that. The management needs to address the issue.
A new Oakwood gem. Well-priced. I got an onion bagel with herb cream cheese and cucumber. Crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Perfect bagel. Can't wait to go again.
Hands down the BEST bagels in the city. Everything from Primrose is delicious - the cream cheeses, lox, baked treats and of course the bagels. Oh! And the Zataar spice is now a household staple. Mmmmm thanks Primrose!
Love this place! Bagels and spreads are always fresh and amazing, have never been disappointed. Its become my twice a week lunchtime routine to walk over for a half dozen and ill never go back!
Great neighbourhood spot for fresh NY style bagels. They also make sandwiches to order, and have a great selection of cream cheeses, shmeers, pickles and other treats. I had the Bodega sandwich which is kind of like an egg sandwich with big mac toppings on a bagel.it was on point! Also took some bagels and shmeers to go. Prompt and friendly service.
Really good bagels and bagel sandwiches! The staff are super friendly and were able to still help me when i had taken the dog for a walk- they let me order and you wait outside to pickup the bagel! No lineup when i was there on a Sunday morning! Big selection of options and the sandwiches were so good! I got the lox bagel sandwich and it was so full of ingredients. You really get what you pay for as opposed to small quantities! Really loved it and will go back.
The front entrance is accessible with a small ramp! Might be a bit to small of a door frame, but you could also order outside!
