Great place to canoe in the summer and skate in the winter. See RBG website for ice thickness / safety in the winter.

Well it is a good place for any kind of winter activities specially now with frozen water and lots of nice powdery snow. Lots of place for hiking, cross country skiing and ice skating.
They cleaning snow from parking lot pretty fast so there is no issues parking car. Getting really busy over the weekends.

One big disadvantage - parking fees. They have a parking meters with rates of 3$/hr which is quite pricey but somehow now they just standing at the entrance and charging everybody 10$. This is a lot! I like to do snow kiting at the Cootes and 2hrs is usually enough for me so I would really prefer to use meter instead of paying 10$ every time I enter the parking.

Marvelous place for skating though very popular so parking can be full. There is additional place to park by Coronation Pool.

Has a scenic trail to walk along, you can observe a lot of water fowel, reasonable parking and entry to the playgrounds is easy, try your luck at fishing too. A good experience over all

We were very impressed with the number of outstanding nature preserves in Hamilton. Located in the middle of neighbourhoods, they are easily accessible.

Beautiful park! Great place to take wedding pictures and family pictures. Great walking trails along the lake.

Location is awesome but the city gouges you on the parking and it's hard to launch boats more than one at a time because the path and dock are pretty tight. Otherwise, it's absolutely beautiful.

Serene! Hard to believe such a pretty place exists in the city. Do NOT Wade, swim or get the water anywhere near your eyes or mouth. Water contains high levels of Salmonella.notices placed along the trails and near water

Beauuuttiiifull views! Great for summer, spring, fall AND winter activities. We went skating on the frozen lake this past winter. Best skating I have ever done! A great place to walk your dog. A great place to smoke a joint also.

Princess point trails. I found the trails in rough shape not well maintained. Trails can be narrow and steep. Unfortunately because of the mud it was dangerous in places A positive is that it’s quieter than the north side

Great skating this year. Best 20/21 Covid relief for the kids and parents. Bring a chair for better distancing. Walking trails. Parking at Princess Point. Be safe.

Even I don't drink alcohol, I may say my friend are always happy with beer store service. There's many brands of different types of alcohol.

Lovely place to stroll where wildlife thrives. Wide paved path allows for physical distancing and accessibility. Beautiful sunsets all year round.

Drove from welland to walk the paved path trail, to get almost on the bridge and have a truck pull up and say it's closed. No sign, just landscaping company or something tell me I cant go.

Beautiful hiking trails and ice skating when conditions are permitting. I love that they post the ice thickness because I don't want to check the thickness. The $2 parking is a great donation to the RBG

Hiking through the area is always a good experience. Area was clean and plenty of parking (paid). If your a bird watcher or a fisherman you'll be right at home.

Princess Point is a small parcel of land on the edge of the 403 that overlooks Lake Ontario. In the winter, the lake freezes over and people skate and play hockey. There's also a pedestrian/bike trail that follows along the waterfront to the Hamilton North end. In the summer people go canoeing and kayaking on the lake. There's a parking lot at Princess Point. A few movies and television series have been shot there. While not exactly a park, Princess Point is a way to access Cootes Paradise nature reserve, walk along the waterfront or bring your own canoe or kayak.

One of my most favorite places in the world. Great sunsets. Holds a special place in my heart. While fishing for 5 hours, all we saw were large carp.

A natural beauty or a beauty of nature! A nice trail along the water and through the woods. Great sight-seeing!

Awesome trail with beautiful view of Hamilton and its surrounding area. Great place for runs, walks, hikes, canoeing and more!
05 October 2019 22:15
Great spot for running, cycling, and fishing (would not catch to eat though, seeing as it is part of the Hamilton Harbour). Connected to the Bayfront Park which is 4 km or so away. Easy access to the water.

A beautiful park. When I saw pictures of it, I didn't expect it to be so big, and I was more than pleasantly surprised. The big field of ferns and plants is excellent for photography. There's also a lot of wildlife around you, from swans, to blue herons, to even deer in broad daylight. I'm coming back here for sure. Its 10$ to park, a small price to pay for such a beautiful place.

Absolutely breath taking! You're transformed to this picturesque fairy tale setting where you can walk a path through a meadow of bright yellow Goldenrod as far as the eye can see. I think there was some Aster and other Monarch flowers here and there as well.
My son loved watching the cute fuzzy caterpillars scurrying across the path. But please do keep an eye on your feet! I did see one trampled on along the path.
This place has enspired me to dedicate my entire side of my house next year to just Goldenrod. Dear Lord it was peaceful there!

Unfortunately the fun police have came out and closed the biking trails because of a little water. What happened to the good old days when you just warned people and let them use the trails anyways?

Absolutely an amazing to bike, hike and take beautiful pictures! As you go through Princess Point, it's like a stress relief
04 September 2019 10:06
Beautiful spot to see the sunset, and water, geese, swans, deer, wildlife. Whenever I need to get a dose of nature this is a favourite for me.

Great place for a paddle. Both narrows and open water paddling available. Few spots to stop for a shore lunch and get onto the marked trails. We had a great time.
22 August 2019 13:43
Lovely parkland asset to Hamilton - great area for a light walk in the woods and across the shoreline at Cootes Paradise. Lots of wildlife thru the fields and skies and water. Plenty of jacka$$es though who ruin it for others with off leash dogs. (“Sorry! Usually she’s really friendly sorry she attacked you! ”)
Bring pepper spray maybe? Probably ill advised to hike this - or any trail - alone to be honest.

All i can say is amazing. Very peaceful hike. Morning is the best time to go. You can hear the birds singing and the air is fresh.

Great canoe/ kayak launch. Quaint little paddle around the the inlet. Water is a little murky and at points questionable, but long pants solves that issue.
If you get bored, there are plenty of geocaches along the way.
