This clinic is so professional. All of the staff are kind and attentive and Dr. Maharaj is extremely knowledgeable with respect to the treatment of dry eye issues. My experience at Prism Institute, Oakville has been extremely pleasant, from the initial appointment to the completion of surgery and follow-up. They don't have respect to their patients, I send emails they don't respond, If I try to call them they keep me on hold for 10 minutes and then the machine tells me that they will call back on the same day, but they don't

Dr. Maharaj is kind, caring and compassionate. He takes a personal interest in my case and discusses the best possible treatment moving forward. I leave feeling like I have someone who really wants to help me.

Dr. Varma very nice always pleasant always answers all my questions. All the staff are very pleasant as well, very helpful great place glad I was sended there.

Sorry to say that the service has gone down. I had to wait 3.15 hrs for my check up. This is ridiculous for any doctor to keep their patients waiting.
We come all the way from Kitchener for the appointment and then we have to wait sure long hours. Have to take a vacation day every time to see the doctor.

It was my first visit today! Overall it is a well organized establishment. All was well in a timely fashion and everyone was kind pleasantly warming and understanding with a lot of patients! Most appreciated coming from a legally blind patient as myself, Doctors were very thorough with examination process and extremely helpful with all understanding of the results along with the recommendations. Looking forward on my to my upcoming regular visits and to give me hopes to be pointed in the right directions of my needs at hand!

I had my cataract eye surgery in August 2022 and was under the care of Dr. Amrit Rai, found my service to be cordial, and informative for my surgery, Kimberly Clarke (Surgical Coordinator for Dr. Amrit Rai) was extremely helpful and polite Thus overall it was exceptional service Thank you.

I have been going here for years. The staff are very nice and friendly. My doctor is amazing, always upbeat, always caring, always thorough and very informative. He answers all my questions and truly cares about his patients. I cannot say enough about him. I am thankful he takes such good care of me!

I went to have my eye assessed for cataract surgery, I was told I can have the OHIP covered lens or the upper model I guess you could call it. But being a senior and not having work benefits any longer I could not afford the $700 for the upscale lens. Dr Kahn was informative and because of the GD pandemic I couldn't get my cataract even looked at. So now I'm told that my cataract is very thick and large and will be difficult to do but Dr Kahn assured me she can handle it. As for the time it took for the process it was rather lengthy, but being retired I have lots of time on my hands and it's interesting to watch all of the different races of patients and the large amount of seniors.
My surgery is in October so watch for the continued version of my opinion.

My appointments at Prism always go well. I have no complaints. Dr. Rai is very thorough with his exams and answers any concerns I may have.

Go somewhere else if you want your time to be respected. Dr Varma was late by an hour and then treated patients in a hurry. My father was not given even 60 seconds for his laser treatment! Not sure if this clinic is for humans. Will try to switch to some other clinic when the time is right.

My experience with PRISM is limited, however when attempting to contact office today regarding an eye emergency for a family member, I was eventually assisted by Nurse Natalie who was very professional and helpful. I am extremely thankful to all the health professionals here for their hard work and dedication throughout this very difficult pandemic.

I have been going to Dr. Klein for decades. He has always treated me with respect and has taken the time to answer any questions I have. I would definitely recommend him.

This is a big waste of time trying to contact your office. The poorest service i have ever seen. My husband spent 45 minutes trying to contact your office. And got tired of your garbage phone music. He is putting a call into ministry of health to put a compant in.

Cancelling a point an appointment is impossible…. I tried calling I’ve sat on the phone on hold only to have the line disconnected multiple times I’ve left messages and still no one responds…. I need to travel to the clinic to cancel an appointment? ! I give them one star because they are professional!

Good doctor. Fully crowded, so after dilating one has to wait for more than 90 minutes to see the doctor. Good check out counter.

Long waiting time and doctor said clerk should inform you about the wait time normally we have 2 hours wait time

I had an excellent experience at Prism Eye Institute with my eye exam appointment with Dr. Michelle Khan. She is very thorough in her examination and apart from the relevant medication, gave me a lot of tips for improving my general eye health. I find her as one of the most professional and helpful doctors I have seen as a patient. Dr. Michelle Khan is highly recommended.

I was referred to see Dr. Thomas Klein at the Prism Eye Institute. The visit was to review my earlier diagnosis by a foreign doctor (Africa). Dr. Klein and his team patiently took me through series of eye examinations spanning almost a year. At each visit, Dr. Kelin and his team explained to me what test I was undergoing and what it is intended to identify. The treatment and answers to my questions were calming. I was satisfied I was getting the best attention from Dr. Klein. I was asked to suspend the eye drop for glacoma earlier diagnosed by a foreign doctor as diagnosis appears not to be correct. My eye pressure were taken repeatedly during the several visit and it appeared normal. Following these treaments, we came to conclusion that the diagnosis from the foreign doctor was wrong. Dr. Klein further advised that I should ensure that I undergo an anual eye exam to ensure there is no progressions in future.

I am very happy and satisfied with my eye treatment at the Prism eye center. Thank you to Dr.klein and his team.

All staff was very helpful. COVID protocols were in place and strictly adhered to. Dr. Khan explained everything and listened carefully to and addressed my concerns.

A professional place with excellent doctors. Dr Noordwh was the surgeon who not only had the consult but also did the surgery with excellent professionalism. He has excellent inter personal skills to keep his patients calm and reassuring. Would recommend him to all people who are planning to get cataract surgery done in near future.

My father in law (85 years old) attends this place because it was recommended by his physician. Over the last 6 months he was rescheduled twice to an earlier day. In both cases we arrived to find out that his appointment location changed from Brampton to Oakville (likely due to the doctor working at different locations on different days). We had to then drive him immediately to Oakville. These mistakes indicate sloppy and careless admin work and I called the receptionist at Brampton to complain. I was on hold for 20 minutes and our call kept cutting in and out. It was so bad that I couldn't understand what she was saying and I had to repeat my phone number multiple times. I asked her if I was on speaker and she told me it was her headphones. In addition to her apologies, she told me that her supervisor would be calling me shortly. At this current time, I have been waiting patiently for almost 5 hours without contact. I have been courteous by calling and waiting for a reply. I hope this review will either help you to get your act together or prevent other people from having to deal with you.

Took my wife for eye exam checked in 15 minutes before scheduled appointment time even then had to wait for 75 minutes before the tests could be conducted. Does not make sense of booking appointment.

She is cheerful, prompt & caring and i would say she is an asset to Prism management. Keep it up Patrice!

I find after a certain time of the day the appointments fall very behind like over an hour and half that's unacceptable. Especially when you have people waiting for you outside.

I love your centre. It is large and well organized. I found Dr. Mills to be very reassuring, calm and professional. He took the time to answer my questions and give me guidance. My appointment was not on time however, I recognize that is not always in your control. Humans aren't always predictable or on time.

Terrible experience.waited 2 hrs to hear what i heard on the phone when appointment was booked.

Dr Shoan, was very detailed and helpful, it was a pleasant experience, overall all staff was good too. It's very difficult to reach someone on the phone as well as email. This is where Prism need to do a better job. I wish there was easy way to connect to your doctor.

Its impossible to get on a call with them. I waited 30 minutes twice just to talk to a representative but noone ever picks up the call. I dont know how many ppl are calling them at a time and if phone call waiting queue is so long then what will happen if I actually have to visit them.

Update: Received a call after this review. The lady was kind and apologetic. I hope you are going to solve this problem which I'm sure other clients are also facing.

A huge improvement in efficient and low wait for my appointment. The front entrance signs should be improved to prevent visitors from wandering around. Dr. Klein effective the.first.time time BUT this time he haseft my right eye sore, painfull, glazed over and worse vision than before his surgery. I would not recommend him any longer. I also completed their online patient report of serious post surgery AND STILL no response. I have left many voice mails for his office manager NUT no reply. When I did visit for an appointment (a horrible experience to get through their call center) Ms Eastkn casually waved aside my suggestion for her to check her voice mail and respond by saying that their system doesn't work? Wx#!? This afternoon I will try to file a complaint with whatever professional standtds organization opthalmollgists are members of. I will also check with my PLA and Ontario Health Minister. But I won't hold my breath.
Skip Prism Eye Perhaps printed Notices on the outside of their 7700 Hurontario Street location might get their attention. Yet, no way I would endanger myself by going back there to Dr. Thomas Klein.

Dr Shoan is a very caring and very intelligent doctor. I have seen many different doctors over the past 20 years after my surgeries and happy I have found someone I can trust now.

I like to visit this eye institute. My Doctors today was very detailed in explaining to me. Doctors are very courteous, take time to listened, explained so I can understand. I would recommend Prism Eye Institute to everyone. Would not there for another.

Dr. Mills, specifically, is THE BEST. He is professional, courteous, is very mindful of patient health and safety. However, we saw 2 clerical staff NOT wearing masks - 1 fat lady at the eyeglasses area had hers under her chin. A clerk in an open office wasn't wearing a mask at all! This is a healthcare centre! This is an AIRBORNE virus, and you are sharing airspace with vulnerable patients, public. It seems other staff know about these 2 ignorant employees who wilfully ignore rules. VERY disappointed, this place is unsafe and a lot of old people come here for eye check-ups. Management says "we will followup" that's it.

Arlyn at the front desk was courteous and efficient in checking me in and going through the active COVID screening symptoms’ questions. Thank you Arlyn.

No enough chairs for patients or family members coming with patients.
No water bottle for patients, only water dispenser. Do you expect people to bring their water bottle or glass?

No wifi to work at location when you know you have huge wait time for Dr?

Dr. Klein is awesome.
He takes his own time in investing patient’s condition, conducts all tests, compares these with medical reports before he decides about The Right Treatment for patients.
He has been looming after me for past few months.
I feel safe, satisfied and blessed under his treatment.

What a shame that the doctors are so good but the customer service is abhorrent. I have been trying to get an appointment with my Doctor for over a week now. Every time I am put on hold for 30+ minutes. Today I had the patience to hold on for an hour and the call was disconnected. I have emailed Prism 3 times and only received one call back where I was told I am removed from the patient list due to an error on their front. I still did the needful and obtained another referral as my priority is getting an appointment with my doctor but I am still unable to do so. It cannot be THIS DIFFICULT to receive a call back to set up an appointment.

Both Dr. Khan and her tech assistant Ann are friendly and good at their jobs. Would certainly recommend them to friends.

Very professional, experienced and put me at ease during the process. I would have appreciated sitting in the chair for a couple of minutes after the procedure to get my bearings - felt like it was a bit of a push out the door (I know there was a long line behind me) and it was a bit disorienting. Even if you were to sit with the assistant for a few minutes afterwards to answer any questions. Thank you

The doctor was great. It is just too bad that they keep rescheduling the appointment. I understand that their time is busy, but so is mine.

The staff is extremely irresponsible. They sent away an half blind elderly man into the freezing weather after his appointment. Despite any COVID regulations in place, the waiting room was empy at the time and HE IS PARTIALLY BLIND. How could you be so heartless? We went looking for him there and they gave NO useful information. Please do better. Regulations is supposed to be in the best interest OF YOUR PATIENTS. This could have potentially been a fatal mistake. Please keep an eye on your loved ones when they are in their care. Thay have no concern for the patients whatsoever.

I have been seen by Dr. Michelle Khan at Eye Prism in regards to a surgery to my eyelid. Dr. Khan is very knowledgeable, she explained in detail all the steps she would take in order to make my surgery a success. The surgery was a "breeze", there is no scaring and my eyelid healed very fast. I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend her!

My appointment went very well. At the entrance sanitizer was provided, COVID-19 related questions were asked about health. Temperature was taken. Rules were explained and procedures were followed then directed to the Reception. Health card was shown without any touching.
Completed the field test. Completed eye sight and pressure test. Completed Retina test.

The lady at the front on the other hand was absolutely horrible. My mom called me in the phone so I could hear the lady who took the temp of the patients and directed them where to go. She was yelling and screaming at patients I wish I could have recorded it. If I was at the appointment with my mom I would have filmed her tyrant and show it in social media. My mom who is almost a 70 year senior who was on the phone with me so I could hear the lady yelling and screaming said the lady’s forehead was red from screaming and telling patients to learn to speak English. In saying this I couldn’t understand her well because she was talking in broken English herself. Very disappointed in the entrance lady today she wouldn’t give her name but it took place at 9: 40am March 16/2021

Today I was having my appointment @ 11: 40pm till 1: 30no one checked me and I asked two times at front desk but no service. I paid $50 for the test came back without check and no refund very bad experience, called the number two times to submit my issue to the management but no one picked up the phone Waited for 30 minutes for my call to be answered no one picked up the phone. Very poor customer service. I will never visit here in Brampton location.

Excellent all round ; starting with the reception, the technicians and all the way to Dr. Klein. Dr. Klein is second to none. He saved my eyes after a botched Cataract surgery in Kuwait. God bless him.

Very good Doctor. Cares about my eye health. Explained to me the results of tests and scans done to my eyes. Clinic overall is very efficient clean and orderly. No time wasted in my appointment. Wait time is short. Follow up appointments booked early and reminded few day before the visit. Thank you Prism.
